military members missing after one of their army helicopters went down in joint military exercises with the u.s. the chopper made an emergency water landing off australia's east coast late friday night. a search party from the u.s., australia and canada is looking for the crew. debris appears to be from the helicopters has been recovered. the crew taking part in an every other year military exercise involving 13 nations and more than 30,000 personnel. thoroughbred racing resuming in churchill downs in september. no changes made after 12 horses died there this spring. the churchill downs ceo says they reviewed the track surfaces and its safety protocols but says the review, "did not find any fundamentally wrong or different about our track from previous years." the famed louisville track suspended operations last month moving the rest of its latest meets to another track. seven horse deaths in the days leading up to last may's

road. the chp says the driver was traveling northbound in a southbound lane before crashing into another vehicle head-on's investigators say both victims apparently traveling in that wrong-way vehicle. two other people in the second car were taken to the hospital. there's no word on their condition. also breaking overnight, one person is dead following a hit-and-run accident in east palo alto. it happened along kavanaugh street not far away from cesar chavez middle school. the call came in around 10:30 last night. the man in his late 20s. police so far are not revealing what led up to the crash or relees details about the vehicle description. and cinthia pimentel has a quick look at your microclimate forecast for this weekend. how's it looking, cinthia? >> well, look outside towards the golden gate bridge. we can darely see the towers. off to a foggy and chillier
