"early today" starts right now good tuesday morning i'm frances rivera >> i'm jessica layton. new york, washington, florida, and now georgia. two weeks after a federal grand jury charged former president donald trump with attempting to defraud the united states he faces fresh allegations connected to the 2020 election in the peach state on monday night, a fulton county grand jury brought a 41-count indictment against trump and more than dozen of his allies all in connection with alleged efforts to overturn the 2020 election in georgia. now these charges came following a major two-year investigation by fulton county district attorney fani willis >> to break this down we go to nbc's chris pollone in washington take us through the charges and defendants in this lengthy indictment >> reporter: we originally thought that that fulton county grand jury would vote on these indictments today. but instead, d.a. fani willis

arouzi who's been following the latest on ukraine for us what is in the latest round of aid? >> reporter: good morning, jessica, this latest assignment's going to include around $200 million worth of defense munitions, artillery rounds, mine-clearing equipment and anti-armorcapabilities, according to secretary blinken, and it's all part of a $6.2 billion of funds earmarked for ukraine. as you mentioned, the funds were, extra funds were discovered in the war chest after an accounting error by the pentagon, who had assigned a higher-than-warranted value to the weapons that were being shipped to ukraine that means the ukrainians are going to be getting more equipment than they had initially accounted for, and it can't come soon enough, jessica, as ukraine pushes ahead with their counter offensive. according to ukrainian officials, their forces are making some headway on the southern front, but it's a slow,
