time ago and didn't think i was going to have to deal with that around here. they're chasing me. so here is a look at what's going on right now. starting out with some fog in san francisco, and that's going to keep us nice and cool. i think the fog is going to lo seen the past couple of days. so not as much sunshine, but that's also going to help cool down our temperatures and the breeze coming off of that fog, it will even help us in the inland valleys where it has been so hot and humid the past couple of days. today we're looking at temperatures in dublin reaching 85 degrees. it will be 77 in napa, with low 80s in santa rosa and in novato. as we go into the weekend it does get slightly hotter as we see more sunshine in the city and along the coast. and we're looking at some low to mid-90s with concord reaching 93 degrees. we'll also be 93 in morgan hill. by sunday, we're mostly looking at some upper 80s, low 90s, but
5:19 am
we say may see an increase in cloud cover as we start to see remnants of what is now hurricane hilary start to make waits eye into southern california. so this storm has intensified so rapidly over some very warm water over the southwestern coast of mexico. it is starting to make impacts felt in cabo and we are going to see this continue to make its way closer. we'll be talking a lot about this. by sunday afternoon, it's coming into southern california, most likely as a tropical storm, so even though we are seeing it moving over cooler water, it still wil a lot of heavy rain and could cause flash flooding. but, also, this is going to be moving toward nevada, which is very parched at this point. we've been talking a lot about how low lake mead is. this could really help out. so unfortunately it's coming all at once. but we are going to see a lot of
5:20 am
rain moving toward nevada and some of those areas that have been dealing with a severe drought. for the bay area, it looks like we're on the dryer side of this storm system. so we're expecting a slight chance of rain, but we may also see some lightning strikes if we're on the outer periphery of all of that moisture coming in. and look at what the models are putting down. anywhere from about 3 to possibly over 7 inches of rainfall farther south, from fresno on southeast, and while the bay area will see maybe 1/4 inch of rain fall in some spots. so the impacts coming in from sunday to monday, as the remnants come inm. and the best chance will be the southern california mountains that could get over 2 inches of rainfall. this is the first landfalling tropical system we've seen in 84 years. as we get past that, it's going to be hot with inland areas in the 90s. san francisco will be in the 60s and low 70s.
5:21 am
we'll see, finally, some quiet weather for the end of next week. mike says it's quiet out there now on the roads. >> golden gate bridge, very calm. you can see buses going north and some folks south, headlights. we're looking at the overall commute. no major problems. 101 all the took a look. highway 4 is clearer than a half hour ago. we do see traffic heading south on 680, heading toward walnut creek. also an incident still reported, i'm tracking a crash, the morag should clear from the blotter in the next couple of minutes. we're showing little bits of yellow, but not a major issue for the commute.
