we now know exactly how a fugitive killer managed to break out of a pennsylvania prison newly-released video show the danelo cavalcante climbing out of the chester county prison a week ago an urgent manhunt is still under way as the dangerous inmate is briefed t believed to be headed south. >> reporter: this is the moment danelo cavalcante began his escape early thursday morning. officials officials releasing the video and describing how he crab walked up the wall before pushing his way through razor wire >> while he escaped undetected n though the observation tower was staffed at the time. >> the tower officer did not observe nor report the escape. the escape was discovered as part of the inmate counts that occur when inmates come in from the exercise yard.

>> reporter: the tower officer is now on administrative leave the acting warden says he made his escape at 8:51 a.m. but wasn't determined to be missing for nearly a full hour in the prison was locked down and special count conducted. by 10:01:00 a.m. the public escape siren had sounded and 911 had been notified. >> reporter: his breakout mirrored a similar escape. igor bolte gained access to a visitor's entrance where there was less security. bolte was captured within five minutes and measures were added to the prison. now they're adding more. >> with yet another sighting, they believe he is heading south, confident he has not escaped their perimeter. >> we are committed to the

cave for days. 40-year-old mark dickey was deep inside the cave on saturday when he suffered a health emergency from gastrointestinal bleeding he's being cared for by caredyt on site with blood transfusions. the effort involves about 150 rescue ares and will likely take days he is a veteran instructor with the national cave safety association and was looking to find a new passage through the cave when he got sick. we could see severe storms nbc meteorologist angie lassman is tracking weather systems that could be potentially dangerous. >> we are watching that cold front that could bring us a little relief but make us unsettled. it's going to be a slow mover, it will be around not just today
