dirty brown long hair, short beard, he was wearing round framed eyeglasses. coming up in about 30 minutes, what other students are saying about 50 on campus as tensions in the middle east continue to rise. an update now what a horrifying crime in the north bay, police say they have arrested a man suspected of decapitating a family member in santa rosa. please arrested this man, luis oreo lopez of san francisco, last night we reported that the manhunt is only for him, the family member in mexico told us the victim is really lopez's grandmother, who raised him. 24-year-old allegedly cut off her head, apparently fled witness, police say they have not located the head, but to get a stated they believe the incident may have been cartel related. arroyo lopez was officially released from prison after serving time for assault with a deadly weapon. no details tonight about a racist text scandal that led to a san jose please officer being fired. we are now hearing from the legal team targeted in at least

one of those messages, we broke the story last night, san jose pd releasing 10 pages of redacted text that officer sent to a former and current officer. the fired officer was identified as mark mcnamara, six year veteran of the force. the texts were discovered during an internal affairs investigation, several of the messages had racial shirts letters in them, once a quote, i hate black people.". involved in the shooting of 2001 green at the popular tucker rea in downtown san jose. green had just designed a grown men recommender and appropriate police about getting a murder nearby rush to the restaurant, shot him as he was backing up with a gun. his family is now suing the city, text messages from june showed that he used slurs when discussing a lawsuit in both green and his legal team, which is made up of black lawyers. he also talked about shooting the attorneys. we spoke to one of those attorneys who says every message was red to green and his mother. >> they were shocked.

a closer look at construction and the nightmare commute is causing. >> reporter: city streets have been tapped with local traffic that has been trying to detour around the closure of south bound 680. now the closure starts where 580 meets 680 and goes until state route 84 in denial. it has left many drivers stuck in bumper to bumper agony, but caltrans says the closure is necessary to improve the aging road, and to add on an express lane. >> after this project is completed it, motorists will expect a much smoother ride, so what we're trying to do here during this weekend closure we are compressing about 40 nights of nightly work to just three days over the weekend. >> and while the closure is in effect, caltrans is asking drivers to avoid using foothill road and castlewood to help alleviate some of the local traffic, and this closure is scheduled to run through monday

the restructuring of financial services company charles schwab continues. the company announced plans this week to close the downtown san francisco branch, going to close in december 1st, on top of that, charles schwab has confirmed that it is cutting up the 6% of its workforce, that means about 2000 of its 36,000 employees in 2021, the firm moved its headquarters from separate cisco to dallas. charles schwab said the changes are to ensure that the company remains highly competitive. building community through
