woman outside a family and restaurant. police say when altercation started outside of the chilies at the bayfair center more mall. the woman was shot in the pot, and died at the scene. it appears a suspect and victim knew each other. they identified a suspect but are releasing details about who that person is. we will keep you updated. also tonight, it's officially underway. the highly anticipated asia- pacific economic cooperation summit or apec. the weeklong conferences bringing dignitaries from around the world to san francisco. >> apec is in opportunity not only to showcase america to the 20 visiting economies of apec but also to showcase and 14 to america. >> security is tightening around my skanee center where thousands from around the world will be meeting for the summit. >> leaders from 21 economies will be meeting and this is the biggest gathering of what these city has seen in nearly 80 years.

thom jensen is in san francisco with a close look at day one of the summit. >> reporter: this massive mostly empty room right now is a tiny part of apac filter literally thousands of journalists in the coming weeks. there covering delegates in the industry leaders from their countries making headlines around the world. the apec members represent more than 60% of the world's economy and world leaders from the 21 economy meet in san francisco over the next six days they will focus on trade and investment, innovation and sustainable and inclusive growth. >> i think we all acknowledge around the region that if we have economic growth that some committees are left behind or we are not doing a sustainable way then that's not going to be very effective of moving forward. >> reporter: security is a truly tight around the moscone center where world leaders will meet in private and the public to share strategies and further those goals. >> we sustained a lot of information in apec. there's a lot of talking.

that's a really good thing because that tells we learn about each other's economies, challenges and how to cooperate better to grow altogether. >> reporter: outside the moscone center , protests are expected in conjunction with apec on everything from wars to climate change and human rights. >> we can ignore the atrocities that the ccp has perpetrated. >> reporter: a congressman who chairs the house select committee on the chinese communist party met with prominent chinese dissidents this afternoon in san francisco to talk about issues in china. >> when we have high-level dialogue like the one happening this week between xi jinping and joe biden, that we don't -- that human rights don't get thrown into the gutter. that we don't do you prioritize the issues of human rights and democracy so that we can get a photo op. >> reporter: president biden and said to me with china's president wednesday for talks on trade, taiwan and managing u.s. chinese relations.

get around two tomorrow. clear skies in san jose. as we take you out on the satellite view, some changes occurring in the gulf of alaska. we are seeing more moisture in the incoming storm system that we are watching closely. some of that could evolve -- involve a moderate atmospheric reciprocal connection could boost time rain rates over the coastal mountains. it is pretty interesting. the peak impact of the rain over the next five to seven days likely to be right across california. especially central and southern california. as we zoom into the bay area, rain total spread out over three to four days. we can say about half an inch to inch and a half of rain for most of the bay area. some of the coastal mountains over about three days time could see two to three inches of rain. that's quite a bit of rain. it's not going to get started until about tuesday. initially mostly north of san francisco. the peak rain doesn't line wednesday and thursday and a closer look hour by hour. are the changes ahead in that seven-day forecast coming up in about 10 minutes. when we are not on the air,

no word on what led to the shooting. a shooting outside in with the school sent a teenager to the hospital at about 10:00 last night in front of vallejo high school right after the football game. paramedics took the teenager to the hospital. no word on how they are doing. this is the second time violence has erupted around the vallejo high school football game. the school to stop a brawl between players, coaches and fans at a game last month. the war between israel and hamas rages on. this weekend is really ground troops pushed deeper into gaza city. prime minister benjamin netanyahu said at a news conference that gaza will be demilitarized after the war and israel will continue to control security. the humanitarian situation in gaza remains critical. gaza city largest hospital is out of service after two missile strikes. israel claims one of the strikes was a misfired rocket from hamas. secretary of state anthony blinken is urging more

humanitarian efforts a far too many palestinians have been killed. one of the largest gatherings of muslims in the bay area is happening in the south bay. more than 1200 people are at the santa clara convention center for the 29th anniversary gala for the council on slamic relations. security at the event is tight in addition to celebrity the organization's efforts to fight for civil rights, many attendees are also mourning the loss of family members killed in gaza. c.a.r.e. leaders are responding to a sharp increase in hate crimes in the bay area. >> we have received dozens of complaints of islamophobia incidents in the last several weeks. we receive complaints about children at school being bullied and harassed. we receive complaints for people at workplaces feeling targeted and alienated. we have received complaints of violent he crimes. >> leader say there urging people attending the event to put more pressure on elected

ceremony. the parade started outside featuring veterans, marching bands, local leaders and there was a flyover from the air national guard rescue wing out of moffett field. lots of high-fives. it was all to honor the men and women who have served or are currently serving their country. >> it brings you to tears but i love coming every year. i had five uncles that served in the war. a niece in iraq. i come from a military family, so we are very patriotic. >> organizers say this is the largest veterans day parade in northern california. in the north bay, people were out in force to honor veterans. the city opened at the veterans day played in petaluma. it started with music and speeches that will not park in retired active-duty service members and supporters cruised down the street.

san francisco close to 70. tomorrow cooler and more high clouds but a pretty mild finish to the weekend. right now 60 and san jose. a few high clouds. 55 from walnut creek. similar temperatures into livermore. 55 degrees. back over to san francisco. 61 currently. we may see a little bit of patchy fog setting up as we head towards tomorrow morning. your sunday morning starting off with 40s and 50s. no rain in the forecast tomorrow. unless you head north during the afternoon. we might see a few showers later in the day. for the bay area, another day of 70s. 73 four livermore. 68 oakland. 65 san francisco. temperatures started to cool down. we begin to see those high clouds which will eventually lead to chances of rain we think beginning tuesday. at least four areas south of ukiah. high clouds at times. rain chances staying off to the north but changes start to arrive late monday night into

tuesday morning. you are looking at it right there around 6:00 to 7:00 in the morning tuesday we should see the initial push of some of this rain towards the bay area. for your tuesday is concerned, i think the best chance of significant rain, at least for tuesday, will be across the northbay. a pretty narrow window. most of it will fall tuesday morning. then tuesday afternoon and rain to the north. as we head into wednesday and thursday, as you see on the seven-day forecast at the bottom of the screen, it should be pretty close to the main event for the period of more substantial rain often on through the day wednesday. again likely for thursday. low off the central california coast. you can see the reason why only futurecast we could end up with hiring totals for the central coast and southern california. by thursday, friday the low scoop through southern california. we should see a clearing skies closer to the bay area by friday. by next weekend, looks like we

could see clearing skies after what could be three to four days of rain chances around the bay area. right now we could see a half inch to little more than an inch of rain. especially wednesday into thursday. santa cruz mountains could end up with two to three inches of rain for midweek into thursday. we will watch that closely. oh yes, snow chances above 7000 feet. that part of the forecast looks more like november as opposed to the 70s. >> is this the first big storm of winter? >> yes. the ferris wheel has a new the ferris wheel has a new

in san jose hosted a wally celebration featuring live performances and traditional dance. kits at a chance to learn about traditions and got a chance to make art. that included clay lamps and colorful art called ian cole. the ferris wheel that has been golden gate park has a new home. they moved the sky star ferris wheel down to fisherman's wharf. the move comes ahead of the apex summit which will lead thousands to san francisco. it will open to the public at 6:00 pm monday. general mission is $18. tickets for seniors are $12 and kids two and under are free. the ferris wheels let to stay in san francisco in 2025 of five. it will be a very different look. i wrote it at the golden gate park. you go up and it is kind of a cool thing. that will have a lot of different views. >> you are right next to the bay.

welcome back. i'm anthony florez and this is a big weekend for the 49ers. after losing three in a row they are trying to get their mojo back. in jacksonville on friday the jack was won five in a row. coming off a buy the should be no more excuses. the addition of chase young should help the defense and offense, samuel is backed. the niners had a sense of urgency heading into this game against the red-hot jaguars. >> we just need to win. we have to have that feeling again of winning. then get on the street and role.
