intercepted a missile. hezbollah fired from lebanon towards tel aviv. we're live with the new wave of extensive strikes now being reported in the region.
5:01 am
plus, caught on camera, a bizarre theft in the north bay. video showing a woman entering a bar and making off with three goats. suspect police are now searching for her. also new pushback. the reason some south bay residents are upset with costco's plan to bring a sixth store to san jose. this is today in the bay good wednesday morning to you. 5:00 right now. thanks for joining us. i'm laura garcia. and i'm marcus washington. we'll get a look at that commute coming up in just a bit with mike. but first let's talk about that forecast for today. a little bit cooler. yes. this is the break we've been waiting on. it's going to be better today. and temperatures not as hot. we're starting out with a few clouds this morning. and as we take a live look outside in san jose, it is a nice start to our morning. nice and cool. as far as our temperatures, we are going to see our morning start in the upper 50s low 60s. 63 now in hayward, 62 in oakland, and
5:02 am
we're in the upper 50s for much of the north bay. and then taking a look at our highs for this afternoon, 77 for that high in palo alto. even some of our warmer spots inland will only te going to see a nice little break from the high heat before it returns this weekend. so we'll talk more about that. mike, you're hearing about a car fire. yeah, i'd been tracking it. it looks like the flashing lights that we had. there we go. over on this side of the road, heading toward the dublin interchange for west 580 has cleared just past hacienda jerry, and our operations center had found the flashing lights. no slowing. no problem. all the way westbound along the dublin grade. that's a cool shot there. a smooth drive, the dublin grade is kind of the windy part right there past the interchange itself and throughout the tri valley and throughout contra costa county. an easy light drive right now. no problem for highway 37 out of vallejo and over toward novato. an easy drive through the north bay and through the south bay and peninsula. everything's basically at speed. we'll watch the altamont pass build a bit.
5:03 am
it looks like there's something for me to check out over on the nimitz. coming up, back to you. thank you. mike. well, first we begin with breaking news out of the middle east. israel carrying out a third day of airstrikes in lebanon. now, the country says that its forces intercepted a missile from hezbollah. this morning, egypt, jordan and iran are warning that israel is pushing the middle east towards a, quote, whole scale war. today in the bay's brie jackson joins us live from washington with the very latest on the overseas developments. how is the u.s. responding to all of this? bree good morning, laura marcus. so those warnings of a full scale war are something that president biden urged must be prevented in his final speech to the u.n. general assembly. the militant group says it was targeting mossad's headquarters with its missile launch, but israeli defense forces say there's no evidence of that. lebanese health officials say ramped up attacks by israel killed more than 500 people monday, more than half a million people are now displaced from their homes
5:04 am
in lebanon as a result. on the other side, the idf says hezbollah fired more than 300 rockets and missiles into israeli territory yesterday, injuring six people. on today this morning, u.s. secretary of state antony blinken was asked about israel's strategy of using escalation to force hezbollah to the negotiating table. after the horrific events of october seventh by hamas in israel in the south, hezbollah from lebanon joined in and started firing rockets into israel. people who lived in northern israel had to evacuate their homes. villages were destroyed, homes were destroyed, 70,000 israelis were forced from their homes, and israel started firing back. you had a tit for tat going back and forth. people in southern lebanon had to leave their homes to. and what everyone wants is to have a secure environment in which people can simply return home. kids can go back to school. that's what israel is after. so the best way to get that is not through war, not through escalation. it would be through
5:05 am
a diplomatic agreement that has forces pulled back from the border. create a secure environment. people return home. that's what we're driving towar. and yesterday, israeli prime minister benjamin netanyahu promised to continue the attacks on hezbollah, saying in part, quote, anyone who has a missile in their living room and a rocket in their garage will not have a home. netanyahu stated earlier this week that he's making good on his promise to change the balance of power in the north by taking out hezbollah missiles. back to you. all right. brie jackson in washington for us. brie. thank you. and you can actually watch that full interview with secretary of state blinken on today. that's ahead at 7:00 this morning, right after today in the bay. now to an emotional plea from a north bay man whose beloved animals were stolen from his home in a theft. he says was caught on surveillance video. he says this video shows the thief, a woman you see here using hay
5:06 am
to entice three goats to follow her. he says this all happened last tuesday in a barn on his property in santa rosa. the sonoma county sheriff's rural area crimes task force is now investigating, and he has a personal message for the thief. they were my family. they were my family pets. just please bring them home. please bring them home safely. the goats are named atlas, nacho and chili, and they're among eight pet goats he owns, all of which have names he's hoping someone who visits his goats instagram page, called rancho disco, can help solve the mystery. happening today in san jose, city planners are expected to debate the approving plan for a new costco, but there's a growing pushback from residents. renderings show that the planned development slated for the site on prospect road. this is near the saratoga
5:07 am
city line. planners today will review and perhaps certify the environmental impact report. the plan calls for three buildings to be demolished. this is where the west gate west shopping center now sits. opponents plan to attend today's hearing. they are actually raising some concerns over traffic and close proximity to a nearby high school. while costco is promising changes to the design plan to accommodate those concerns, so far it seems like the a's are trying to squeeze in a few last minute memories before closing the door on oakland forever. they are playing their final series at the place they've called home since 1968, and for one night anyway, they conjured up memories of championships past coming home, and the oakland a's have won the ball game. the a's last night beat the rangers on a walk off base hit, thrilling the coliseum crowd. that means we're now just down to two games left at the coliseum before the a's pack their bags for sacramento. our ginger conejero saab

following the emotional roller coaster ride for fans. she'll join us with a live report coming up in our next half hour. we knew it was coming. just sometimes just doesn't seem real, right? right. all right, well, this is real for you. live. look out in san jose this morning. meteorologist kari hall tracking those conditions for us. looks nice and pretty clear for the most part. kari. yeah, it's clear there. let's head to san francisco. where the clouds are a lot lower. it's drizzling, and we do have a much cooler start. you can't even see the top of the transamerica pyramid. so we're starting out with those low clouds as we get ready for a drop in temperatures. it will be a breezy day, and for the valleys, instead of seeing upper 90s and highs over 100 degrees. how about 70s and 80s today for the bay? it will be in the 60s and 70s and it will be warming up by the weekend. let's get a look at our south bay high temperatures in the low 80s today. up to 80 in san jose, 82 in morgan hill and for the east bay we're looking at mostly upper 70s low 80s for a much
5:09 am
more comfortable afternoon. we'll take a closer look at these temperatures and what's ahead coming up. mike, you've been giving us an idea of where we can fill up for less. yeah, we've been holding at the same best for the bay. today we're starting in contra costa county for that price of 419. it's been traveling around valero in concord on willow pass road this morning. we'll call out cupertino for the south bay low. 429 is the best we can do. aria gas and market on stevens creek boulevard and on the peninsula. higher prices. the low is 443 for san mateo county. arco on delaware street, the last number here. and that's in the city of san mateo. and then on the website gasbuddy.com. you can get those prices or you can update if they're wrong. you can help contribute to the knowledge out on the roadways. we're looking at a smooth flow of traffic and easy drive right now. we did have that crash. i told you we'd check on north 880 at marina boulevard. there's a crash on the shoulder. no injuries reported. tow trucks heading to the scene. no slowing. that's good news for the morning commute throughout the east bay. in fact, here's
5:10 am
the berkeley curve. a smooth drive toward the bay bridge with those taillights going around the bend to the right side there. no problem. at the toll plaza across the span and your approach is all these timing out to the minimum for the morning. back to you. thanks, mike. 509 right now, shining a light on the shortage of latino physicians. ahead on today in the bay, the event taking place in the south bay today to help address that shortfall. and an end of an era. and the very last blue light special is the last kmart shuts down. and lady gaga with a poker face before her big announcement complementing her upcoming movie. i'll tell you about that one two punch that has fans excited. keep it right here.

started and it's going to be nice and cool with a few clouds at 8:00. we're in the low 60s and it's only 70 degrees, and we won't see temperatures climbing much more from there. it's going to be a very comfortable afternoon, and this is our break from the high heat. we'll talk about the return of hot temperatures and our microclimate forecast coming up. and heading south away from us. these taillights move smoothly 101 through san rafael, continuing to the golden gate bridge, which is looking clear right now. we'll show you how things are shaping up. there may be a little slowing in another part of the north bay. we'll watch that coming up. well. good morning. very happy wednesday to you. more records on wall street. the s&p 500 hit a new

all time high 41st time this year. 41st time futures calling for a lower opening this morning. money coming off the table. perhaps san francisco's crowdstrike faced hard questions in washington on tuesday. i'll get to that in a second. visa also bay area getting ready to defend itself in court after the u.s. government accused it of being a monopoly. here's the attorney general. it is unlawfully blocking competition. it is depriving american banks, merchants and consumers of lower costs and product and innovation. it is charging a hidden toll on each of trillions of transactions, adding up to billions of dollars of fees imposed annually on american consumers and businesses. visa says the justice department is forgetting all about the other ways that consumers can pay, and points out those options are
5:15 am
growing. paypal, venmo and the like can come right out of your bank account directly. here's that crowdstrike hearing i was telling you about. the company apologized on capitol hill for that massive worldwide outage back in july. one congressman called it like something out of a movie. caroline ellison, who's in that blue hat there in the back, one of the fraudsters behind the ftx crypto coin scam was sentenced to two years in prison. her counterpart and former boyfriend sam bankman-fried, got 25. ellison testified against sbf. the prosecution called her help invaluable, bloomberg reporting that artificial intelligence company openai has talked to the white house about building a data center so big it will use five gigawatts of energy and how much is that, you ask? well, that's as much as a large american city. the report says the talks are still in the preliminary stage, and that it would be very difficult to find
5:16 am
a spot in the u.s. you could put a data center that uses the amount of power the city of miami does without having to build a huge number of power plants. well from the future to the past. the last full size kmart in mainland america is shutting down. it's in long island. it will shut down next month. i don't have strong memories of kmart and the blue light special. not because we were fancy or anything. my parents were teachers, but i can remember woolworths, did you have woolworths? yes. it was like a little diner that, you know, you could have ice cream and a sandwich at night. kind of old school. they're old school. they're all gone now. yeah. they are. all right. thanks, scott. well, we are celebrating hispanic heritage month, and this morning we're shining a light on the lack of latinx physicians taking a look at some of the statistics here. while 19% of the population is latinx, less than 7% are physicians, and only 2% are latina doctors. to highlight this, santa clara valley health care is hosting a
5:17 am
celebration of latin physician community today. ahead, in our streaming newscast at 8:00, we're talking to a santa clara valley physician to take a closer look at what's being done to introduce more latinos to the medical field. and trending this morning, we're about to get some new music from lady gaga. and that means those little monsters everywhere have a reason to celebrate. they're saying you're a bad influence on me. well guess what? that's life. that's life. funny as it seems, seems like it's going to be a good one right there. if you didn't know, little monsters are her fans. just so those who didn't know. so yesterday, the superstar revealing that her new album harley quinn drops on friday. it's named after her role in the new joker movie folie a deux, and the movie is expected to premiere next week. now that album is set to feature some covers like you just heard there, that's live. there's also get happy and smile. so some old

school music there. the twist. yeah, she could have done that. yeah see. all right. that'll be good. october 4th. the film is out. and friday, friday next week the fourth, i believe that's the film. film? yes. and the album is out this friday. there you go, there you go. all lined up. what about the weather? we're seeing some stuff lined up. no joke, no joker face. hopefully lining up, going down with those temperature numbers for one day. i know we'll take it. i'll take it. and then the next high pressure is lined up and it's on its way to slide in here and heat things up for the weekend. so let's get a look at what we are seeing right now. it's in the upper 50s in dublin and in palo alto and 60 right now in san jose. so we're starting out with some clouds. we'll see those clouds continue throughout the day as our high temperatures will be in some spots, about ten degrees, maybe even 15 degrees in some spots lower than it was yesterday. so east san jose will reach a high
5:19 am
of 81 degrees, and we'll be in the upper 70s and low 80s for much of the east bay in concord, 79 will be the high temperature in fremont, 76 degrees. this looks so great. this looks like what we are imagining when we think of fall with some mid 60s in daly city and 76 degrees in redwood city. it will be 68, in the mission district in san francisco and 62 in the marina district. jacket weather there and in mill valley. we're in the upper 60s for a high while in santa rosa, novato, nevada, napa will see a high of 77 degrees and 88. in ukiah. now, looking at what's ahead, the next area of high pressure will be coming in in time for the end of the week into the weekend, and it's going to be slow to move, so it's going to heat up our temperatures over the next several days. take a look at the changes here in walnut creek. we're going from a high of 74 to 86. and then 96 for friday. so those temperatures rebound very
5:20 am
quickly. on saturday it will be in the low 80s. and then we're going to see some 90s again for the start of next week. we're not done with that summer heat. in fact we're going to go back and forth from some milder weather to summer and it's going to be back and forth day to day throughout at least early next week in san francisco. it's going to be misting and drizzling today. cooler temperatures. and then we'll see highs in the 60s through the end of the week. mike, you saw some flashing lights in richmond. we did still see a couple of sets here. and you can see the red lights reflecting off the back of that overhead sign. there bridge richmond over towards san rafael, picking up a little bit of volume. these folks i think, may be heading across as their overnight crews. we talked about this richmond bridge, also the bay bridge haven't seen any major complications, but they may be on the move. yesterday we had a lot of slowing on the central freeway this morning. not the case, although the same projects are in place in the area. we're looking at west 37. that's the part of the north bay
5:21 am
we typically see slowing right on schedule. there highway 4 a little bit lighter than yesterday, but just a little break starting coming in toward pittsburgh. we're watching bay point. we're watching walnut creek with no delays, easy drive down the east shore of east bay. we're looking at marina, where there's still a crash on the shoulder for the northbound side of the nimitz, getting across to the peninsula and easy flow of traffic and your travel times throughout the east bay are looking great. as far as your drive through vasco road, coming out of contra costa county. back to you. thank you so much, mike. well, there's much more ahead for you right here on today in the bay this morning, including chicago. wednesdays are back. we have a preview of tonight's brand new season premiere of all three popular franchises. and we're going to actually talk with one of the actors about wh

quite a journey. it goes from france to sonoma county with a detour to broadway. it ends with one north bay woman getting another recognition for service to our country. more than 100 years ago. here's our garvin thomas. good morning team, i have a great story to share with you out of the north bay. sonoma to be exact. that's where musical theater veteran maeve smith signed on to direct hello girls, a broadway musical about american women who worked as telephone operators in france during world war one. doing research for the show may have
5:25 am
discovered one of the hello girls was actually buried in sonoma, but when she went to visit the grave, there was no headstone, no sign of veteran was buried there. so while she directed the play, maeve also connected with a network of people invested in the hello girls, and this summer was able to host a ceremony where juliet smith got her gravestone installed and her legacy cemented. you can experience the whole story at nbc bay area.com/bay area proud, as well as hundreds of other stories of people being good to each other in the bay area. thanks, garvin thomas i love those trending for you this morning. chicago wednesday. returning right here to nbc bay area. the premiere of chicago fire, chicago p.d. and chicago med's new seasons will make their highly anticipated debuts tonight. officer atwater badge number 52784. my time is limited. i got to talk with actors daniel curie, amy morton, and oliver platt, all part of different elements within that

chicago universe. i asked them each about their characters they portray on screen. he really is a person that is just like, really, empathetic and really just sort of leads with his heart on his sleeve, which as, as you can imagine, i think requires quite a great deal of bravery in a profession such as this one. as a firefighter, you can't sort of not like her because she's her intentions are always noble. it's just the execution can sometimes be a bit brusque. mostly i just love to be telling stories every week that that destigmatize mental health issues. you know, when there's 10 million people watching every week, that's a it's a really it's really important thing. and it's a real privilege to be a part of that conversation. and it was a privilege to talk with them all. it's an action packed night on nbc bay area. it all kicks off with chicago med at 8:00, followed by chicago p.d. at nine

and chicago fire at ten. it's your chicago wednesday, then, of course, stay tuned for nbc, bay area news at 11. bringing it all back to the bay area. there you go. all right. 526 right now, next up, we're having a lot of stories to get to this morning, including a plea to keep schools open. the show of resistance parents and students demonstrated this as city leaders in san francisco continue their plans for a possible school closures. a dramatic win for the oakland a's as they take game one in their final home stand. we'll have the details for tonight's final home game, and how fans continue to say their painful goodbyes. sy withta

morning, 530. right now. thanks for starting your day with us. i'm laura garcia. and i'm marcus washington. let's get over to meteorologist kari hall. she is tracking what we can expect from that forecast today and starting out. nice and foggy there in san francisco this morning. yes, this is going to provide the cooling that we'll see across all of the bay area. a stronger ocean breeze and that fog lingering near the coast. it's even drizzling right now. so you may need a jacket with a hood on as you head out in the city. it's in the upper 50s now, and we are at 60 degrees in san jose and looking at upper 50s and low 60s to start all across the bay area. as we take a look at san jose and our high temperatures, it's actually going to be cooler than our usual high temperature for this date. so in santa rosa, instead of seeing our normal high of 82, it will be 77 today. and in concord, 79 san francisco in the upper 60s and 80 for livermore and in san jose. we'll talk about the heat up ahead in a few minutes. and mike. the bay bridge for now, looking
5:32 am
pleasant, much more pleasant than yesterday. it was stacked up across yesterday. today a great job across at the toll plaza and at the bottom of the screen you see slowing on the incline. that's it. not like yesterday where we had a tough drive until just after 6:00 when they were cleared a project in san francisco. we're looking at a build at the top of the screen. highway 37 same thing over on the upper right highway four shows slowing through pittsburgh. so now contra costa county shows the build coming in your westbound commute for the most part there a nice drive out of the altamont. nothing major for the slowing into livermore and the dublin interchange. south bay moves smoothly. so to those bridges so good stuff as we're getting through the south bay with a little build here. our live camera in san jose, back to you. thanks so much, mike. 532 right now. governor gavin newsom signing a number of new bills into law before a deadline mandated by the state today in the bay's bob redell joins us live from alameda county this morning. and, bob, i understand the governor is set to sign yet another one later this morning. what do we know about it? good morning to you,
5:33 am
laura. at 11 a.m, governor gavin newsom expected to sign legislation that his office said is related to the oversight of oil and gas wells and community protections. not clear what impact, if any, that would have on prices at your local gas station. separately, you might recall that recently, the governor proposed oil refiners to keep minimum levels of oil in reserve to prevent spikes price spikes. but republican opponents say requiring those oil tanks increases gas prices in california and other states. and that can lead to shortages. but newsom's office is disputing those claims. it said that they're looking to have backups to avoid shortages, and there's already enough storage, they to say, meet those goals. the governor also just signed off on 24 laws aimed at gun control that his office says will add stronger protections against gun violence. the new laws will create stricter penalties for registered owners of guns used in crimes, will strengthen red flag laws, also known as a gun
5:34 am
violence restraining order, this removes guns from people who pose a serious threat to themselves or others, and provide stricter limits on gun access. the governor also signed three bills to cut red tape on farm worker housing. the first will study whether california should keep temporary housing complexes open. year round, creating stability for families and other streamlines. the approval process to build more farmworker housing and santa clara and santa cruz counties, farmworkers will also now be able to use sick leave to avoid smoke, heat or flooding conditions. also, some new other new laws that were signed and recently sb 1061 prohibits medical debt from being reported on credit reports. ab 2017 prohibits certain banks and credit unions from charging non-sufficient funds fees, and sb 1075 limits the amount credit unions can charge for overdraft fees. reporting live here in dublin. bob redell today in the bay. a lot going on there. thank

you very much, bob. well, new overnight, a tense and deadly situation unfolding aboard a bus in southern california. here's what we know so far. a gunman shot and killed a passenger on board that bus overnight. police there just held a news conference overnight and say the shooting led to a hijacking and chase officers, eventually using spike strips to stop the bus in downtown los angeles. now that led to a standoff. and after about an hour, the suspect surrendered and is now in custody, a source says there were only three people on board the bus, including the driver who was uninjured. if there's more details, of course we'll continue to follow and get them to you. happening today, the man investigators say shot and killed a coworker last friday in vta bus yard is scheduled to be arraigned. 33 year old bus operator min bowie is accused of shooting fellow driver. and it happened friday night. this is at the yard on south seventh street in san jose. over the weekend, deputies arrested that

suspect at his home on monday. they laid out some of the allegations suggesting that gambling and money owed may have played a role in that shooting. tensions are mounting between parents and administrators at san francisco unified. the troubled district continues to delay an announcement over potential school closures. portantino kraut schools. garden grove schools before last night's school board meeting, community members rallied outside the district office, saying that black and brown families would likely face the biggest impacts. the superintendent says the district continues to struggle with fiscal challenges and declining enrollment. but he assured the public students are in good hands during public comment. many parents and students complained. educators are not listening to them. i am a student and not a number. i'm here to speak against the proposed closure of june jordan school for equity from a student's perspective, i'm concerned about the path of my education and how things are going to be in the near future. so we actually asked the city

for support in addressing these challenges and appreciate that the mayor stepped up and agreed to provide additional resources and staff so that we can really move forward and tackle them with the urgency that they deserve. san francisco mayor london breed recently announced she has formed a support team for the school district. it's made up of city staff. she's also dedicating nearly $8.5 million for emergency needs. well, the a's play their final game in oakland this week, and as a painful goodbye continues, many fans are feeling like part of the bay area culture is being ripped away today in the bay's ginger conejero saab joins us live this morning with more on the team's rich history and so many memories. ginger so many memories and what a history there. marcus. good morning to you. part of that history shown on this wall here at the nbc bay area sports building in san francisco. you're seeing just some of the players and coaches that have contributed to that

history tony la russa, rickey henderson and dennis eckersley. our photojournalist josh keppel, making sure that i keep up on my a's history this morning, add to those memories a magical win last night coming home and the oakland a's have won the ball game at. what a dramatic way to win the game. a walk off win for the oakland a's last night as they take the game 5 to 4 over the rangers. jacob wilson providing the game winning single in the bottom of the ninth with zack gelof beating the tag at home. an estimated over 30,000 in attendance. many of those hearts cheering and breaking at the same time. what the oakland coliseum represented to me and many, many millions of people is the last town square people could get together, maybe have their differences with different logos, but at the end

games left in this home series. of course, we can expect many fans to come out to the coliseum and say their goodbyes in their own ways before the ends, then head to sacramento as their temporary home and eventually to las vegas. a lot of ways to say goodbye and we'll see all those fans following the a's and keeping tabs on them as they go in san francisco, ginger conejero saab today in the bay. the end of an era. all right. thanks, ginger. developing now. up and down florida's coast. gulf coast residents on hurricane watch in some local areas. the leaders there have already declared a state of emergency ahead of the arrival of what is now tropical storm helene. havana, cuba bracing for heavy rainfall. the storm, expected to reach hurricane strength as it moves through the gulf later today, perhaps becoming a category four by the time it makes landfall along the gulf coast. you see all the sandbags and what they're doing to get ready. meteorologist kari

what's gone wrong, what's gone wrong, particularly in pennsylvania. good morning. in july, when a gunman came within inches of shooting donald trump. a new preliminary report from a senate committee investigating the shooting found a number of mistakes by the secret service, the biggest of which we already knew. the building the gunman used so close to the stage that donald trump spoke from was not properly secured. we also learned that when local police realized there was a gunman on the roof frantically drawing their guns, the secret service did not pull trump from the stage. there were also problems with radio communication and even confusion about who was in charge. the senate yesterday passed a bill that would require the secret service to give presidential nominees the same level of protection as the sitting president. the house passed the same measure, 405, to zero. the house also ready to vote on the continuing resolution that will keep the government open and funded. that bill also has new money for the

so let's get a look at what's happening with that forecast calling for meteorologist to keep us in the know what's going on. right. it's going to change from day to day. so one day it's nice and comfortable. the next day you're outside and you're sweating. so you're just like what in the heck happened? so we're in the upper 50s, right now and we're starting out nice and cool all across the bay area. you'll notice more clouds throughout the morning and even into the afternoon, but that's going to keep those temperatures down. take a look at our highs for today versus what's our average high temperature for this date. and we are going to be cooler than what we typically see for this time in september with the santa rosa a high of 77 degrees, concord 79. and it's also going to be below average in san francisco, livermore slightly below average. but we are right where we should see those temperatures for san jose as we're headed for the upper 70s and low 80s, 77 will be the high in palo alto and in the east bay, a big drop about 10 to 15 degrees. when you compare it to yesterday's high temperatures. so then as we take it into the day tomorrow, it's

going to start to heat back up again and we'll see upper 80s, even a few low 90s fairfield, clear lake, ukiah, 90 degrees tomorrow, san francisco in the low 70s and will be in the upper 70s for oakland. so the cool down we had only lasts really a day or two. and then we start to heat up for the weekend. friday we're seeing upper 90s again and up to 97, in concord and palo alto on friday it will be 88 degrees and 93 in napa. so high pressure rolling right back in that's going to heat up. those temperatures shift our wind direction, and it's going to be slow to move as we go into next week. so when we take a look at san jose, we do have some more hot days ahead spiking all the way up to 93 on friday. but it will be cooler for the weekend and then hotter again for early next week. so yes, it's going to be hard to keep up here. you'll have to keep checking in every single morning to see what this day will bring. so today not bad, but it will be hotter by the end of the week. and in san francisco, mist and drizzle and
