trump's election interference case. jack smith makes his case for why donald trump should be charged tried for his actions leading up to january 6. the new filing claiming that he acted like a candidate rather than president of the united states when he tried to overturn the election. >> reporter: special counsel jack smith fighting to keep the january 6 case against donald trump alive. in a new filing with new evidence, smith tailoring his criminal case to survive the supreme court's ruling that presidents can't be prosecuted for carrying out official acts, writing that although trump was president during the charged conspiracies, his scheme was a fundamentally private one. smith also laying out new details about trump's conduct and conversations in the days and hours before his supporters stormed the capitol on january 6, 2021.

lebanon were trying to find shelter for a number of nights, trying to get awhay from the bombing, but it is not the only neighborhood that was struck by israel on wednesday. they also fired three missiles into another neighborhood which is where the leader of hezbollah, hassan nasrallah was killed last friday. and in the end, the lebanese health authority says at least six people were killed and another seven wounded in those combined attacks. now, in the meantime, israel continues to pound villages and areas in the south of lebanon. and it has warned residents who flee, who evacuated their homes from there, not to return home until further notice, because they said that those rates will continue. israel continues to call these strikes targeted and precise. but the lebanese authorities say apart from the six people who died, the day before another four to six people were killed in raids in eastern and southern lebanon. in the meantime, the ground
