we're getting a break from this rain. let's find out in just a moment. thank you so much for starting your weekend with us. i'm kira klapper cinthia pimentel has a quick look at that microclimate forecast. it was such a relief not to be driving through pouring rain this morning. yeah, that much needed relief is here. but this morning we are starting to push that activity. there are a few lingering spots right now that i'm tracking with storm ranger. our mobile doppler radar just hovering through the central bay very light up towards the north bay. also seeing some activity, but much lighter compared to what we've been dealing with the last three days. which is why i still have to tell you about this flood advisory for parts of sonoma county. so through santa rosa, up to healdsburg, that's the green. but i do have the flood warning for parts of the russian river at johnson's beach for a couple more hours. so definitely a situation to watch. we'll see cloudy skies, maybe squeeze out a sprinkle or two, but that much needed break for today. cleanup mode activated some showers for our sunday. spotty at times, and i'll track what's ahead for thanksgiving

in guerneville, folks say they've never seen this kind of flooding in november. i've lived here for over 33 years, and this is the earliest we've ever had any flooding like this. so it's going to be an interesting season. but as you can see, we can't really go anywhere. craig cerritos is stranded in his home. the nearby creek overflowed right on to craig's court. yeah, it surprised us. we weren't expecting it. and even with the forecast, we were like, it's not going to be that bad. we weren't expecting the flood at all. a flood warning has been issued for the russian river. it's running fast and furious. beaches and parks along the river are flooded and closed. the impacts of the storm are widespread, and it's just the start of the storm season. it's frightening. it really is so, yeah, as i said, this is the earliest i've ever experienced it. so yeah, we're in for a bumpy ride, folks. get prepared. that was jodi hernandez reporting for us in the south bay. many neighborhoods lost power overnight this morning.
