coverage, timing out all of this as many cities are still recovering from the storm damage. plus moving the bay area forward. a live report on the nonprofit helping bay area youth find housing and jobs. this is today in the bay. and here we go on a monday morning. thanks so much for starting your day with us. i'm laura garcia. 5:00 right. now that it is, i'm marcus washington. and of course, we have a lot for you this morning, mike. of course. keeping an eye on the roads. yeah, we'll get to that in just a bit. but let's talk about it coming into work today. the rain started. i'm back. yes, the rain is back for most of us. not everyone. last week it was focused on the north bay. this time it's the south bay. and it's all a part of this big storm system that we can see driving all of that rain across the region. and that area of low pressure that's pushing it into the bay area coastline. now we're going to see some waves of rain coming in over the next few hours, and looking at some of the heaviest rain, once again from san francisco on southward, our storm ranger tracking the
5:02 am
pockets of the heavier rain now moving across the peninsula and into the tri-valley as well as the south bay. a closer look shows even some spotty rain for parts of the north bay around santa rosa and moving over toward northern napa county and pacifica really picking up on some heavy rain right now that's extending down the peninsula into palo alto and then extending across the bay over toward fremont and hayward. so we are going to see at times some heavy rainfall, but it will be focused a little bit farther south compared to last week. but then as we go throughout the day, there should be a bit of a break in some of the activity kind of tapering off for some of us as we go throughout the day. back to you. kari. thank you. well, the latest storm, of course, comes as much of the bay area still recovering from that rain that moved out of here over the weekend. today in the bay's ginger conejero saab live on the peninsula where flooding concerns are still certainly front and center. ginger. it's hard for flooding not to be on
5:03 am
the minds of people on the peninsula and the south bay. as the rain starts to come down. and as kari mentioned, we did get a break over the weekend, but that might not be enough for people to fully recover. people here in palo alto starting to see the rain. we're close to downtown. it's not necessarily pouring just yet, but we are definitely starting to see that wet weather people potentially bracing themselves for the amount of rainfall that we saw in the north bay last week, the russian river surged over the weekend just below moderate flood stage. also over the weekend, authorities confirm a fatality in sonoma county, close to highway 116 and maze canyon road. a car was spotted in a flooded roadway saturday morning. first responders recovered. the man who was in that car, but he was pronounced dead at the scene. over in santa rosa, firefighters pulled another man's body from piner creek, though police say it's not clear if his death was storm related. now, going into the weekend, san francisco got soaked. a flash flood warning
5:04 am
went into effect for a couple of hours on friday. a couple neighborhoods really felt it and saw it come down. the mission district saw flooded streets and gutters and the western addition underpasses looked like pools, and the marina district saw flooded gutters, stalled trucks as well as the wet weather begins to return. a business in san francisco is ready in case the rains cause more minor flooding. luckily, we have lots of soil in bags, which basically double as sandbags, so we were able to like put those around and kind of divert water from coming in as much as we could. today is monday. we're heading into that thanksgiving holiday weekend just days away. tomorrow is when triple a begins its holiday season. a forecasted 80 million people are set to travel 50 miles or over for the holiday. we'll have to wait to see how this wet, wet weather really impacts flights coming in and out of the bay area. i know we already saw some delays last
5:05 am
week. we'll have to brace ourselves once again. we're live in palo alto, ginger conejero saab today in the bay. all right. thanks very much, ginger. and a reminder you can track the rain on the go using our free nbc bay area app. make sure you download it to see when the storm will be moving into your neighborhood. just scan the qr code on your screen to get your local weather your way from the people you know. this morning, mike is tracking that soggy commute. yeah, it should be a lighter commute. as far as the volume goes, we tend to see that the week of thanksgiving, but definitely the conditions as kari and ginger have been talking about, it's farther south than last week. so we're talking about the san mateo bridge and south. look at the blue puddling and ponding. not a lot of reports of flooding because there aren't very many folks on the roadways. we're seeing more flooding. look at that. reported up through san francisco and through that latitude, which saw a lot more rain over the weekend. we are looking at southbound to. 242 at 680. there may be a traffic break there. no major issues, but a traffic break could mean you need to slow those speeds and be flashing lights and we'll track that. but overall, that portion of the bay looking a little bit lighter. and look at
5:06 am
this not as much green or blue. things are tending to dry out, but you'll still have damp pavement up here, so keep that in mind. there may still be some stragglers for flooded intersections. back to you. thank you very much, mike. well, just into our newsroom, a dhl boeing cargo plane crashes into a home near lithuania's capital. surveillance video shows the moment it happened. you can see a huge, fiery explosion behind a building. one spanish crew member died. police say the cargo plane was carrying four people. the other three crew members who were spanish, german and lithuanian citizens are hurt, but they survived. the cause is under investigation. happening today. the man accused of sneaking into a middle school locker room in san jose is due back in court today. the hearing is set to decide whether travis street is competent to stand trial. he is accused of allegedly trying to record girls in a locker room. this is at bret hart middle school last month. well, the court had assigned at least one psychologist to examine him as
5:07 am
he. this was requested by his attorney. if street is found competent, the case will return to the original judge and proceed as usual. happening today on the peninsula as president elect donald trump vows to carry out mass deportations. a new push to better protect undocumented immigrants. one council member in redwood city plans to introduce a new ordinance, making it the latest bay area city, provided the city manager approves. council members may start debating it as soon as mid-december. other cities are fast tracking similar legislation, including los angeles, which adopted a similar resolution last week. well, this morning we are moving you forward as one organization is working to help young people stuck on the streets today in the bay's bob redell live for us this morning in the east bay. and bob is understand this assistant really is needed right now because the rate of youth homelessness in california picking back up to the pre-pandemic levels. unfortunately, you are correct. good morning to marcus and laura. most california kids we're talking about k through 12. they have the week off for
5:08 am
thanksgiving. they're excited to be at home with their families. sadly, there are a number of their fellow students who do not have a home to go to. more than 200,000 california students are unhoused. this is a sad statistic that we are reminded of, this being the last week of youth homeless awareness month. according to the public policy institute of california, the number of students in k through 12 without a place to live has returned to pre-pandemic levels. the number fell to around 3.7% during covid. then in 20 2223 bumped back up to 4.1%. that number represents just under 250,000 students k through 12 here in the state of california. so turntable, they're a nonprofit here in the bay area that is trying to help young people stuck on the streets, whether they're in alameda county, where i'm at cities like oakland, sf, anywhere in the bay area by providing them with one stop shopping, help for housing,
5:09 am
therapy and support in finding a job. it's easy to assume things are getting worse, but from what i'm seeing, it's getting better. when we continue to provide relationship based and holistic models where we don't expect the young people to go from this service. go here, go there, go there. oh, we don't do that. go over here. all of those fragmented parts in the community just stresses the young person out and wears them down. and where would you be without turntable? probably in the streets if i didn't. i didn't have turntable. i'd probably be in the streets. still. the bay area based robert craig films is donating 50% of its profits from five of its films on homelessness to turntable and other organizations. the film company recently released a documentary called americans with no address. the film's producer says this is what she found in
5:10 am
the programs that work best in helping the unhoused. building relationships. when every one of us as humans, we need connectivity and so programs that really build the relationships inside went with a holistic approach. but secondary had the wraparound services. housing is important. that's number one. but number two are the programs that provide the services that really adhere to the needs of an individual. in february, robert craig films will also release a feature film, a feature film on homelessness called no address starring william baldwin. reporting live. bob redell today in the bay. all right, bob, thank you. well, turning back to our weather coverage this morning, we are under a microclimate weather alert. we have a live look at storm ranger, our mobile doppler radar scanning the skies on san bruno mountain. another round of rain moving into the south bay. now, you know we had to wait for it last week. kari. yeah we did. we
5:11 am
waited all the way to friday, but then when it came down, it was quite heavy at times. and now we're seeing some of the lighter rain in san francisco after they bear the brunt of the storm on friday, and the rain will be mainly had the heavier rain, mainly south of san francisco tomorrow. still some spotty showers here and there, but on thanksgiving we will start out with some fog, but it will become sunny and chilly as once again we see a lot of changes here as we go throughout the week. a look at storm ranger when it's scanning, we are picking up on that heavy rain moving through the peninsula and extending across the bay into much of contra costa, alameda county. this morning, as we see the rain over fremont and extending over toward livermore, there will be a soggy morning commute for those areas, and then eventually we'll start to see the rain tapering off, even in the south bay, with some spotty rain into the afternoon. so for many drivers this mornin, mike, the story is the wet roads. yeah, really, that's the big story again as you guys are talking about. it's much farther
5:12 am
south than we dealt with last week's commutes. but we should have lighter traffic flowing around the area as many folks did leave town over the last week and weekend. we're looking at the blue puddling and ponding along the dumbarton bridge horizontal there that latitude, as well as coming over through the san jose hills and through much of the south bay. we're tracking no major issues there. a correction the traffic break is north 680 toward 242, not the opposite direction. we see no disturbance to the sensors, but watch for the areas and the lighter traffic flow and a damp roadways at the bay bridge. back to you. thanks, mike. 511 for you this morning. get ready to shop because we are days away from this year's biggest shopping event. ahead for you here on today in the bay. we're going to look at the average amount shoppers are expected to spend on black friday and cyber monday. plus, i was just excited to get to make these movies and it didn't disappoint. every day on set was was the best day you could possibly imagine. i got one on one with wicked's ethan slater about the film's success. also, the amount of money that movie brought in at the box

coming up in a few minutes. here's our live look at san jose. highway 101. this is the rain having the impact on the commute. also an impact on the commute. it's a vacation week for many of the school kids. still a work day though, so we got to check what's going on in the world of business. let's check in with silvana. silva. set to open higher as the markets kick off this holiday shortened week and investors react to president elect trump's pick for treasury secretary. hedge fund manager scott bessen. now he's seen as someone who would be supportive of the stock market and may favor a more gradual approach on tariffs. now the markets are coming off a winning week, with the dow rising about 2% to record highs and the s&p 500 and the nasdaq gaining more than 1.5% now in focus this week, data on housing, consumer confidence, inflation, durable goods and gdp. sony is reportedly working on a handheld console that can

savannah. yeah, you. 517 this morning, here is a live look over in washington, d.c, at the white house, where in a few hours, president biden will pardon a pair of turkeys. peach and blossom made their public debut yesterday. and today, the president will officially spare them from becoming thanksgiving dinner. now, peach and blossom were raised in minnesota. now, at 17 weeks old, they will return to a farm to live their lives out as ambassadors of the national turkey federation. the white house pardoning tradition started by president harry truman in 1947. those are some big birds. yum, yum. okay, not them, not them. no, but trending this morning, a wicked weekend at the box office. the musical adaptation took oz to the number one spot. are people born wicked or do they have wickedness thrust upon them? universal's movie version of the popular broadway musical earned $114 million this weekend. that's the
5:19 am
third biggest domestic debut of the year. i caught up with one of the stars, ethan slater. he plays a munchkin going to school with glinda and elphaba is. he's kind of like a lonely soul in a lot of ways. and when he arrives to shiz university, he's looking for community. he's he's looking for love. and i think he's leading with really good intentions, but he sometimes sort of stumbles and trips and winds up in a different place than he needs to be, which i think is a pretty relatable thing in a lot of ways to a lot of people. slater also told me they've already filmed part two of wicked. we'll find out what happens to buck, and his love story comes out next november. and we should note universal is nbc bay area's parent company. yeah. quite the show. yeah, they called wicked two. or is it called two? wicked. ooh, you should be on their marketing team. say the same thing. i saw people, you know, dressed with full green paint this weekend at the film. wow. oh, yeah. the
5:20 am
film. okay, good. just walking around the mall. yeah. yeah. all right. that paint could wash off today. yeah. don't wear today. we're seeing a lot of green on the radar today. that gravity. we're starting out with some rain across the south bay. much of the peninsula and into the east bay as well as we get a look at our temperatures anywhere from upper 40s to low 50s. as you're heading out the door, here's a look at this storm system that's affecting much of the central coast. this time into southern california and extending up into our south bay. but we've also seen that wave of heavy rain pushing farther north, and now we're getting some more of those downpours in marin county. this will continue to lift northward. and as we get a closer look at storm ranger, it is showing all of the yellows and reds, indicating the heavier rain moving through during your commute. heading up 101 into san francisco as well as across the bay into the east bay. we're seeing some of those heavier downpours right now looking live
5:21 am
at dublin, where the roads are wet, and will continue to see some of the heavier rain through 8:00. at 10:00, it's getting a little bit lighter and then we're mostly cloudy at noon and then just kind of off and on. at any point today we could see at least some light showers quickly moving through. our temperatures only making it into the mid to upper 50s. today it's going to be chilly out there. you will need the jacket on all day with oakland's high of 59 degrees and 55. in napa and 57 in livermore. tomorrow we are seeing more of the same. temperatures may be coming up a degree or two, but overall cool. and then going into wednesday, it's starting to come up a little bit as we get more sunshine with low 60s for those highs. looking at our hour by hour forecast still shows a lot of green here south of san francisco going throughout the day, but there will be some breaks in the activity for the afternoon, and there will also be at any point between today and early tomorrow, the scattered showers just moving on through, kind of staying unsettled. but then you can see
5:22 am
that line of the clearing skies starting to push in by tuesday night. we're only looking at, for most of us, about 3/10 of an inch of rainfall from parts of the east bay tri-valley down to the south bay. but it may be higher for morgan hill, where we're seeing the focus of that atmospheric river that's moving through areas to just our south. while up in santa rosa, there will be some rain, but it doesn't look nearly as much as what we had last week. and then we're going to see some clearing going into wednesday as well as thanksgiving day. looks great for travel and enjoying the holiday. there will possibly be the return of some scattered showers farther south, but not expecting that to affect the bay area. going toward the end of the week. so as we take a look at our 7-day forecast rain to start out and then fog in the mornings when those temperatures settle down into the upper 30s and low 40s. thanksgiving day starts out foggy, but will be sunny and highs in the low 60s and expect more of the same in the san francisco. mike, you're
5:23 am
looking toward a lighter commut. yeah, and that might make people inclined to drive a little faster because you can with lighter traffic, but don't because of the conditions. those demands slower speeds. look at all the blue puddling and ponding throughout the south bay. also, along the corridor with the dumbarton bridge all the way in through sunol, that windy portion of 84. be very careful through that area. anyway, during those storms we are looking at a pretty smooth drive to look at that just now. starting to have some break tapper southbound at vasco road coming out of contra costa county and westbound 582 typical sounds on signs on any early commute, but we're looking at a lighter volume of traffic. only 20 minute drive now getting out of contra costa county. back to you. thanks so much, mike. well, coming up next on today in the bay, nbc bay area responds. she bought a product that's supposed to relieve stress, but her purchase is actually increasing it. i'm consumer investigator chris chmura. n bay areabc

5:27 am
it and get a refund. the seller said, okay, but you have to return it in its original packaging. joanne said she didn't have the original packaging because the delivery people took it with them, and she couldn't find another box big enough for the thing. after weeks of back and forth, joanne asked us for a hand. we contacted walmart. here's what it did. it took back the chair and gave joanne her $1,564 back. we asked walmart for a comment, but it only told us it resolved this directly with the customer. joanne actually asked about the return policy for that chair before she purchased it, and that's a savvy move, especially if you're ever buying a large or expensive item. if you think a company is sitting on your refund, let us know. snap the qr code on screen right now to fill out our consumer complaint form online. thanks, chris. 527 right now. coming up next, the top stories we're following for you today, including more rain across the bay area. meteorologist kari hall tracking the wet weather and just how long it will last. plus fresh

courtroom, we are just hours away from hearing which could be the first step towards freedom for the menendez brothers. our kris sanchez breaking down the next steps in this case, also, president elect donald trump picking his potential cabinet. but can they survive the confirmation battle? we're live in washington with a new phase in the white house transition. this is today in the bay. here we go. monday morning, 5.30. right now. thanks for starting your day with us. i'm laura garcia. and i'm marcus washington. we do begin this half hour with a microclimate weather alert. as more wet weather arrives in the bay area. now in san francisco, some neighborhoods still trying to clean up from last storms. now, some businesses. they felt the first blow friday, only to have things get worse as the rain intensified over the weekend. the city's public works department will once again distribute sandbags this week, starting at 8:00 this morning at its operations yard on kansas street in potrero. let's turn now to meteorologist kari hall.
5:32 am
she's tracking what we can expect. well, we are going to see some scenes like that, but maybe not in the same area as we are going to have that possibility of some morning flooding, some standing water in those low lying spots on the roadways as heavy rain comes through as we are seeing this storm system now affecting much of the region, but a bigger focus on the central coast down to the south bay, we have seen a wave of the heavier downpours pushing north from the south bay now into the peninsula, approaching san francisco and across the bay into alameda county. this morning, as you're getting up and heading out, we are seeing some lighter rain for the north bay. that was where we had the really intense downpours last week, and now we're seeing pacifica over towards san mateo, as well as oakland waking up to some heavy rain. but that's also moving into the tri-valley, where that commute may be very sloppy. morgan hill will be one of the areas seeing the heaviest amount of rainfall for a longer period of time today. so as temperatures hold steady, we're going to see waves of rain
5:33 am
coming through with some breaks in the activity for parts of the bay area going into later today, i'll be tracking all of the changes for you. we'll talk about thanksgiving coming up. but mike, the driving conditions still a big concern even at the bay bridge. we talk about more of the rain being farther south than last week. but look, the wind blowing the flag around. as we get this to full screen, you'll see that rain actually coming down on the lands and across the roadway. a lighter volume of traffic expected, but be careful. bart says the tracks are wet, so they're slowing those trains as they typically do. standard operating procedure. now we see that road weather index showing the green across the north bay and in through the east bay as well. it's had enough time for that light rain to make those roadways pretty slick out there in many parts. look to the north. look way up here in the upper left side or the upper right side. we have guerneville upper left side of the screen, guerneville and all of the flooding like it was reported last week, compounded on those local roadways. do use caution when you see the standing water again. if it's a if it's a puddle of any sort. stay away from that if you can go around.
5:34 am
we're looking at the blue puddling and ponding along that horizontal on the dumbarton bridge, but no major problems right now. back to you. thank you mike. well, later today, the menendez brothers convicted of killing their parents in southern california 35 years ago, will make their first court appearance in years. today in the bay's kris sanchez joins us from our newsroom with more on what to expect. chris. well, good morning to you, marcus and laura. we expect to see the brothers in the courtroom, but on a screen because they're appearing via zoom. there have been calls for the two to be resentenced for the murders of their parents. but this hearing is related to their petition to have their convictions overturned altogether. eric, now 53, and lyle, now 56, are asking for their murder convictions to be overturned on the grounds of new evidence not considered in their murder trial. and that includes a letter from the younger brother, eric, detailing sexual abuse by their father. the brothers, who were 18 and 21 at the time, shot and killed their parents with shotguns in their beverly hills home. after two trials, they were convicted
5:35 am
and sentenced to life without parole. while the hearing is today, the judge has until tomorrow to respond to the habeas corpus petition, which is essentially an inmate's challenge of their conviction. the judge is set to tackle a couple of issues the habeas corpus petition based on the new evidence. that's emerged. but also, there's a special law in for california resentencing. if there's new evidence or if there's childhood trauma, or if, in fact, they have been rehabilitated, all of those things could result in them being sprung from prison. so that's related to the brothers other request, which is to be resentenced for. and that's scheduled for december 11th. between now and then, a new district attorney will take office. the current da, george gascon. you might remember him. former san francisco da recommended clemency, a shortening of their sentence and that they be eligible for parole. the brothers are serving their sentences at a san diego prison, which is why they will appear virtually. and while the
5:36 am
brothers won't be there in the courtroom in the flesh, the court still has to hold a lottery for the number of seats in the courtroom because of the very strong public interest. laura, i would imagine. thank you very much, chris. 5.35 right now. happening today. vice president kamala harris arrives in san francisco for her first bay area visit since losing the presidential election. harris is headed back to dc from hawaii, where she's been vacationing for the past week. all we know at this point is that she and her husband, doug emhoff, are scheduled to arrive sometime tonight. no further details are being released on their stay. president elect donald trump is rapidly announcing key picks to fill out his administration, so he's rounding out the heads of all 15 federal departments who will move on to the confirmation process. now, this comes as lawmakers who will have a say weigh in on those selected today in the bay brie jackson live in washington tracking it all for us. brie. good morning marcus. laura. so president elect trump has now selected nominees to
5:37 am
lead all 15 federal departments, and they will move on to the senate confirmation process, where mr. trump's picks are expected to face intense scrutiny despite republicans having control of the senate, president elect donald trump quickly adding names to his proposed cabinet, tapping brooke rollins as his choice to head the agriculture department. she's president of a right leaning think tank and hedge fund executive scott bassett as treasury secretary. they join a list of controversial picks expected to face pushback during the confirmation process, including trump's new selection for attorney general pam bondi, among other things, she's promoted false claims about the 2020 election. wilk pam bondi continue to tell the big lie, even under oath. there are also concerns about mr. trump's pick for director of national intelligence, tulsi gabbard, and her ties to foreign adversaries. the u.s. intelligence community has identified her as having
5:38 am
troubling relationships with america's foes. defense department nominee pete hegseth has come under fire for an alleged sexual assault in 2017. he denies any wrongdoing and was not charged. some senators are standing firmly behind the picks, others say let the vetting process play out. i'm a yes. i'm pam bondi, i'm a i'm a yes on pete hegseth. i'm a yes on tulsi gabbard. absolutely. everybody is going to have the opportunity to be able to go through this process, and we'll let the process work out. meanwhile, mike walz mr. trump's pick for national security adviser, met with his counterpart, jake sullivan, this weekend and is sending this warning for our adversaries out there that think this is a time of opportunity, that they can play one administration off the other. they're wrong. president elect trump officially taking office on inauguration day in less than two months, and some democrats are calling for deeper
5:39 am
vetting for all of the nominees. while many republicans, lawmakers agree. one republican senator, bill hagerty, argues that americans do not care about traditional fbi background checks for mr. trump's cabinet picks. back to you. a lot to cover there. brie. thank you. 538 this morning. now to a live look over at sierra at tahoe ski resort. this is near echo summit, about 15 miles south of lake tahoe. it's quite dark out there, but of course, that's it. later today, skiers and snowboarders will celebrate opening day there and just about every ski resort. over in sierra is open. at this point, all except kirkwood, which is scheduled to open next week. of course, meteorologist kari hall, of course, the beautiful sites out there. but the question is, what are those conditions? as we head up there this weekend? a lot of folks want to go. yeah, you have to be very careful with when you go and make sure that you know exactly what's happening with the road conditions before you hit the road. you don't want to get up there and then get turned around. so we are going to start
5:40 am
out dry this morning. and then as we go throughout the day, rain moves in and eventually changes over to snow. we'll see. going back from rain to snow for today into tomorrow, but it looks like it's all clear for wednesday, so that may be the better day to drive to and through the sierra. we're looking at lighter amounts of snowfall compared to last week's storm, about 1 to 8in, with some of the higher amounts farther to the south around kirkwood. but there will be that winter storm warning going up starting at 1:00 this afternoon. you want to make sure that you're aware of any road closures or chain controls that may be up. but the other factor in all the snow forecast is the wind and how it reduces the visibility. so some of those mountain ranges may see some of those gusts over 90mph between later this afternoon into early on wednesday. it's all because of this storm system that's driving that heavy rain this time, a little bit farther south. but there is a lot of activity going on here with this atmospheric river that's coming in. and mainly affecting the central coast to the south bay.

we will be tracking all of this and also talking about changes ahead with some drier conditions going into our thanksgiving holiday. and mike, you were saying that the roads are slick around the bay. yeah, much more widespread than on friday. last week's commute. last commute. we saw. we're looking over here toward the horizontal, coming in from pacifica, all the way across the bridges and over in through the east bay, with the most recent rain that kari has talked about, but the most recent slowing we see is in the south bay. pretty typs stretch around oakland road. pretty typical timing, a little less slowing, a little less volume of traffic. we talked about that for this week. there has been this crash of blocking possibly your two middle lanes southbound 101 as you're coming down through santa clara. so do watch that around lawrence expressway. that is one issue going on right now in the southbound direction. now tonight, want to give you a look ahead. there will be a sharks game tonight. so do know there may be more folks heading downtown for the game at 730. and that is no major traffic issue. but do note there will be some pedestrian traffic around

the shark tank. now we don't have any ferry service for golden gate ferry getting to and from angel island for this monday, tuesday and wednesday. they're doing some maintenance, so keep that in mind. that's one thing going on. and another look ahead is to chase center, where there's a game tonight for the warriors at 7 p.m. so we're hoping for the win and do what we wanted to last week. but we're looking at that as a possibility with possible traffic off the 280 extension, a little bit of traffic building up here at the bay bridge toll plaza, but much less than your typical monday that rain. the conditions are there, causing some slowing, but then there's also less traffic likely this week. back to you. thank you mike. well, major mix up at local medical examiner's office. the family finds out their loved one died years after their death. ahead for you here on today in the bay, we hear from both families involved and the way the medical examiner's office is now responding this morning. plus, a $5 million gift is helping to move the bay area forward the way it will help get unhoused families off the streets. keep
