those skies a little bit cloudy at times as we go through the middle portion of the day. if you get a peek at that sunset, could be nice as it filters in some of that light. while i do see a starting cloudy again tomorrow, i think we'll put more sun in our sunday. should be a dazzling day down here for the 49ers taking on at levi's stadium. our highs for today pretty similar to what we felt throughout the week. maybe a touch cooler in places we've just adjusted the numbers 1 or 2 degrees over the last couple of days, so we'll do upper 60s up there in the north bay wine country looks nice today as well as out in livermore. get some shopping done. we'll continue the mid 60s right here through san francisco, half moon bay, maybe even get into those 70s once again, continue the nice weather that we've had down here in the south bay. now do bundl up if you're going to caltrain. holiday train will start in the 60s as the trains get going, cool down into the 50s with that cloud cover and right behind in my backyard where i grew up, san rafael lighted boat parade. that's always a gorgeous sight out there. we continue to see

those temperatures cooling down into the low 50s. well, the models are fighting it out as to when our next rain chance will be. one of them wants to bring it in on wednesday. it's not really an agreement with the others, but i think our best chance could be until we get into next weekend and maybe tapping in into an atmospheric river. so those are some details that are still yet to be ironed out. i'll keep watching that. you watch the 7-day forecast, which looks good through the city 60s continuing. we'll cool it down and turn cloudy towards the end of the week, and our inland valleys upper seconds, maybe some low 70s also trending cooler and we'll watch for that rain chance towards the end of next week hopefully. all right. thanks for the warning cynthia. 20 past the hour. we have much more ahead on today in the bay. coming up the harlem globetrotters will soon take the court at chase

63 in san francisco, 66 out towards livermore and a similar feel down here into the south bay at 68 for san jose. further south, some low 70s down in gilroy. we'll cool it back down into our typical nights over the last couple of days, cooling down into the 50s. if you're going to the tunnels of joy, christmas lights out in brentwood, this is a great celebration. check out their website and the whole meaning behind it. it's a really nice celebration out there for tomorrow. much of the same as we go on into bears and 49ers. let's start at 11 a.m. when the party is getting started in the parking lot. cool 60s, a mix of sun and clouds, but we take it throughout the game. official kickoff at 125 upper 60s. i hope this is a better outcome than what we saw last weekend. and all of that snow. the sunshine come on guys, we can do it. that should be a nice evening out there in santa clara. all right. let's look together as to when we can get that storm door back

open. the european model wants to bring in a chance on wednesday, but it doesn't cover a lot of us in the bay area. the one that we are watching. and that could be much more significant. we're looking out towards next weekend where we could tap into that atmospheric river boost. now, since we are a couple of days ahead, we don't know exactly where that hit would be, who would get the higher totals. so definitely something to keep an eye on as the week goes on. speaking of the week, here's the next seven days upper 60s for the weekend. cooling it down a little bit as we go through the weekend. watch those pattern changes and maybe getting some clouds and squeezing some moisture out of those by the end of the week. the city, the peninsula also looks great. we'll cool it down into the low 60s and watch those clouds roll back in next weekend. middle of the month already? crazy. cynthia. thanks. already? crazy. cynthia. thanks. 47 past (♪♪) no! leonidas. no, no, no, no! ikea? ikea! shop a more convenient ikea with affordable delivery options and more.

morning. the group turning wheels. we'll do a bike build for children across the south bay. joining me to talk more about the event is michael elliott, the president of valley health foundation, and celine duarte with the santa clara county fairgrounds management corporation. good morning to both of you. thank you for being awake and camera ready so early on a saturday morning. michael, let's start with you. tell us about what's happening today. i understand we do this. we cover this every year. but tell our viewers about it. well, this is a more than 20 year tradition here in santa clara county, an event that was originally organized by a group of volunteer nurses at santa clara valley medical center. recognizing that so many kids in our community don't have access to exercise and outdoor play, and still to this day, as it has been for almost 100 years, a bike is the most requested present for kids during the holiday season, so making sure

that every kid in our community has access to a bike. because bikes are fun and joyful and delightful, and part of our childhood, and an important tool for exercise. so we've got 300 volunteers coming here today to build 500 bikes that will be distributed to charity organizations, to shelters, and at our pediatric community pediatric clinics as well. so it's just a beautiful, exciting day and we're happy to be here at the fairgrounds. can i just tell you, you should be on tv every day. you are perfect for this. i want to ask you though, registration is full. happy to be of service. all 500 bikes are. this event fills up instantly. or can people they're all spoken for somehow participate? please. we do this all year round because the need is all year round. so you can go to turning wheels for kids.org and you can donate the gift of a bike to a child this holiday. what a gift. and colleen not to put you on the spot because michael did so well. the santa clara county fairgrounds is really hosting this event. you

know, why is it so important to you to offer a space like this to support the local community? well, as a fairgrounds, it's important for us to give back to our community. there are so many things that we do here in the community. we have festivals and events year round and why not give back to our community and especially those less fortunate, our kids during the holiday season? we all enjoy when they wake up in the morning, they get to open those gifts and have those things. and so for families that may not have that opportunity, this is an opportunity for us to give back. we have the facilities and we have the space for parking for volunteers. so we're doing this weekend. we're so excited to partner with valley health to have them do their bike build. and then next weekend we're also doing another toy drive for sacred heart and san jose foods. so people are looking to still donate toys. they can bring them here to the fairgrounds, and then next weekend they'll be distributing those to the partners in our community as well. well, you are both doing such good for our community. we want to thank you and thank you
