and today, things are flowing here, but other places have been affected by the weather. we saw earlier today some flights fected in dallas, and of course, if we look at the map, we do expect some more delays caused by the weather over the weekend on the west coast, san francisco, portland, and seattle are all cities to keep an eye on. people traveling out of there, on the other side of the country, new orleans, also some storms that are affecting that area and the gulf coast. moving up the east coast, atlanta, charlotte, d.c., philly, new york, and boston, and then of course, chicago. a lot of the big cities, those big hub cities like chicago, atlanta, new york city, being affected by the weather or expected to be affected as the number of travelers expected to be screened by tsa picks up in the next few days. tsa was expecting to screen about 4 million passengers throughout the holidays. 3 million of those passing through mia, miami international airport here, where as you mentioned things have not been

12:05 pm
we're looking at a series of storms moving onshore. the streams, the creeks, the rivers so high already. we'll see a chance of flooding so we have flood watches in place. that's today. then tomorrow we're looking at heavy rain for oregon and also california. snow showers tracking across the rockies and yes, we'll be measuring the rain in inches, over 5 inches in some spots. that's a lot, where you see the red, the oranges, the yellows. and we'll be measuring the snow in feet, where you see the pinks and purples. especially the cascades and the northern rockies. let's talk about severe weather threat today. not quite as robust as yesterday or not quite as robust as it will be tomorrow. but still 3 million people under a marginal risk for severe storms. could see winds gusting up to 60 miles per hour. could see some hail as well. the tornado threat is low, but it's not zero. we're going to watch out for that. then by tomorrow, this risk really expands. we have an enhanced risk, that's 3 out of 5 on the severe weather risk scale. we're looking at places like
