into south san jose, as i was looking at some clouds that are keeping those temperatures just a little bit more mild, our day will include everybody in those 50s not really going to break into the 60s for the next couple of days. we'll keep it dry, but there is a big storm system that i'm watching our next atmospheric river. i'll be back with those details in about 15 minutes. kira. all right, cinthia, we'll see you then. thanks. we begin another weekend with breaking news out of the middle east this morning, where three more israeli hostages are free from hamas captivity. and in exchange, 183 palestinians released from israeli prisons. the three hostages are all men. unlike previous hostage releases, over the last few weekends, reporters and family members are noting how gaunt and frail these hostages appear, also different. the three men were interviewed by masked and armed hamas fighters before they were transferred into the custody of the red cross. the men spoke out against israel,

mother of his children, and potentntially aouple of his children as well. it all started on april 4th, 2023, when san francisco police found bob lee laying on main street. investigators immediately began compiling evidence and trying to piece together the last 12 hours of his life. they quickly learned the last person he was with was a man named nima momeni, and the two had been at the city's millennium tower. this is security camera video of lee and momeni together in an elevator, leaving momeni sister's home in the luxury building. it's about 2 a.m. they get into his white bmw convertible and drive off several security cameras from other buildings show the white bmw heading a few blocks away to main street under the bay bridge, where a nest camera from a ninth floor car window even catches. what investigators say is the moment nima momeni attacks bob lee, ending with nema throwing something over a fence into a caltrans yard. that's exactly where police find

a paring knife with bob lee's dna on the four inch blade and momeni dna on the handle. days later, as police are tracking nima momeni, a police officer captures what prosecutors say is damning video of him in a parking lot. it shows momeni talking to an attorney's investigator and making what prosecutors say are three stabbing motions, and then what investigators testified is momeni motioning like he threw a knife overhand. this is all video and other evidence the public has never seen until now. the dateline special looks deeper into nima momeni and his close relationship with his sister casar, a san francisco socialite married to a prominent cosmetic surgeon. it also looks at the life of the victim, cashapp co-founder bob lee. what was cazares relationship with bob? i knew that they were friend for the past few years, on and off again, just seeing each other casually. nothing sexual, just actual friendship. that's jeremy boivin speaking with dateline nbc. he knew both bob lee and nima momeni sister,

and was frequently referenced in the trial. in fact, prosecutors believe momeni was angry at lee over what he believed boivin had done to his sister. boivin has denied any wrongdoing. one of the many twists in a complicated tale of money, parties, drugs and murder. sergio quintana today in the bay. and if you missed the dateline episode last night, you can watch dateline under the bay bridge, beginning today. streaming on peacock. a federal judge has blocked elon musk's department of government efficiency from accessing. treasury department records. this comes after 19 states, including california, sued president trump to st doge employees from accessing those records that contain sensitive personal data like social security and bank account numbers. the lawsuit alleges that would violate federal law and raise security concerns. musk's department ofovernment efficiency, also known as doge, was created to discover and eliminate what the trump

started. so bundle up and make sure that things that need to be taken care of, like your pets and maybe some sensitive plants outdoors, come inside for a little bit of a toastier night. these numbers will recover a little bit as we go on into tuesday. we notice a couple more 40s on the board as we start to talk about some moisture that will be coming in. now, this is a long range outlook, so things could change, especially with the path of our next atmospheric river towards the middle part of the week. right now it is looking to take aim pretty much to the southern coast and into los angeles. but we look at thursday pretty much the entire state covered in some rainfall and the sierra snow continuing as we go on into friday, valentine's day as well. so something to watch for the next couple of days if that system shifts south, our rain totals could jump up significantly and that will increase. also, the chance of some landslides with our already saturated ground. i think the coast will feel it first there through san francisco and the peninsula. after a sunny and dry weekend,
