goodness, so much going on this weekend. let's check in now with cinthia pimentel for a look at our microclimate forecast. thankfully, with the chinese new year parade happening today in san francisco, the rain finally gone. at least for now. yeah, we were looking at the forecast last week and remember, i was like stormy, stormy, stormy saturday, a break and here we are. we've made it to saturday and the long holiday weekend. it's a cold one though, as that rain has pushed on out. 30 on the board right now. 34 from petaluma to pleasanton, san carlos. just a touch of mild 43 as you head on into parts of the peninsula. we are looking at those 40s but 39 right now to start in san jose. so enjoy the sunrise while we have it. there are some pretty pink sunrises in time for valentine's day weekend, because as we go on into the middle part of the day, you'll notice some filtered sunshine rolling around and it might even give us a pretty sunset. so if you see those nice sunsets out there, send me a picture. maybe we'll include it

in here for tomorrow. our highs are actually going to be a little bit cooler because of that cloud cover. we're looking at 59 for the city today and dry for all of the events going on. that will be the same out there towards livermore. only low 60s i'm looking at are parts of santa rosa and down here into san jose and gilroy. there are some changes, as i noted at the top of the hour, as we go on into our sunday, those clouds will stick around and we might even get a little bit of some sprinkles here. as we wake up early on sunday morning. we'll be trackcking thihere and how far south it goes, because right now i'm going to kp those best bets up there for the north bay. i stopped right there around 430. might start trickling in into san francisco for all of the events. with the nba all-star weekend going on, the rest of us remaining mostly cloudy could come down here into the south bay as we go on into dinner time, but it won't be a lot. the next one that i'm looking at is as we go on into the middle part of the week, until we get there, things are calm. and here's that shot there as we go on into wednesday. also
7:22 am
looking at some light amounts of rain. i don't think it's an atmospheric river at this point. and we could also get some snow into the sierra. i know it's ski week, lots of families heading up there, so watch for that midday midweek disturbance. now as far as the rest of the week going on our inland valleys, we are looking at temperatures slowly starting to warm up. after those couple of shots of rain tomorrow and through wednesday. the second half of the week is actually looking a little bit better as we go on into those mid to upper 60s. finally, some much needed warmth after quite the last couple of weeks that we've had. san francisco will stay cloudy and cool, so bring that jacket as we come on in for all the events in the city, and we'll watch. maybe some shower chances going on into tomorrow afternoon. yeah, just so thankful with all those fans for nba all star weekend inside right? it's nice today at least. all right cinthia thanks. we have much more ahead on today in the bay coming up forced to adjust during the pandemic a bay area nonprofit was undeterred. now, with a new system, it continues to help a lot of

sierra snow up there. and really, that will be about it as we g go on int the rest of the week. for that, we are looking at things starting to clear on up and maybe even starting to warm a little bit. watch the 7-day forecast. yes, a little bit of a bump here for sunday and wednesday, but then going on into the second half of the week we are looking at skies clearing and temperatures actually getting a little bit more mild going into those mid to upper 60. so that will be nice to enjoy. but for this weekend at least we don't have to deal with the rain today. maybe light for tomorrow, but i wouldn't cancel those plans just yet. oh, good. all rht cinthia,ig dave's been very excited about saving big with the comcast business 5-year price lock guarantee. five years? -five years. and he's not alone. -high five. it's five years of reliable gig speed internet.

francisco bay area curling club is scoring a lot of points with the curious. it's fun and it's weird. gabrielle coleman is one of our nbc bay area directors who tried curling on a dare, and in the 15 years since she made it to the olympic trials, uc berkeley student abby lynn got her start after her dad saw a facebook ad for a clinic. it's really a fantastic sport, and i think the weird parts are what makes it the most fun. lynn jus competed at the world university games, and she and coleman will compete at club nationals next month. i mean, it was really amazing honor to be able to represent my country and to wear the flag on my back. it's a dream. i never really expected to become a reality. maybe one day the olympic dream will become a reality. to the san francisco bay area curling club has been around since the 50s, but now that they have their own house, they're not only drawing in the curious, they're training curlers for the future, like carter and tucker hellman, who traded their baseball mitts for stones and brooms after seeing the u.s. men win their first
