ready to hetdhead out. right near the us issues 60. wet roads and morning community. as we go to shoe abc15 desert doppler. under the heaviest rain fall in mesa between the us 60 and loop 202. these showers are all tracking to the northeast and we are turn thatted flood advisory until 6:00 this east centrally. that green polygone there is the flood advisory. that means you couldn't -- you could encounter the ponding water. maybe gi yourself extra time especially if you travel through the east value mrips there's a chance for showers through the morning commute today. the best potential from now through 6:00. we could see lingering showers towards that 9:00 hour. as we head into this afternoon.

we've got weather a alert in the valley as we track showers moving true. a few isolated thunderstorms mainly impacting the east valley. the valley got hit hard last night. especially the west valley with flooding. it's quieter in the west valley. the east valley we're seeing showers. some producing pockets of heavier rain fall that could lead to ponding on the road flood advisory. all of these areas under the green box until 6:00 this morning. as i take you into some of the heaviest rain fall. most of it falling right in mesa right now. between the us 60 and the loop 202. this rain is slowly moving northeast. it's going to move from right north of the us 60 to the 202 and eventually into the higher terrain. wet roads if you have to travel along these areas.

roads getting -- getting hit the hardest. mcdowell road. hikingly road. power road and keep in mind as it moves north if you lif along these north-south roads you're in the path of the rain. up towards the higher terrain that's where this gach bavp is going to go. more areas of heavier rain fall near thomas and and into scottsdale over camelback mountain where we're seeing more heavier showers. those pushing east-northeast. and eventually those will be an impact here for the loop 101. along the loop 202 or east valley watch for the slick roads. mallry will have an update in a bit. >> we're tracking more showers in twin creek and south.

northeast and they could clip parts of the southeast slal as we go through the morning. the strongest storm has been to the northeast near pinetop-lakeside where we had a severe thunderstorm warning. small hail and heavy rain not out of the question. flood advisories near or call. as we go through the day there's a chance for showers through the morning commute. this is really going to be our best potential. the rain chances gradually to drop off. not to say we're in the clear for storm chances. those storm chances look lower here. a wet morning commute. so give yourself extra time. notice that the other next couple of days we're going to lose some of the rich monsoon moisture that's in mays and we'll goin dry poupt highs -- drier heading into the weekend.
