allison rodriguez joins us live, she's been covering this search. >> here's the time that little jesse wilson was found wandering around the neighborhood in the middle of the night. that happened in april. aber's call police at the time saying jesse was standing on a or corner, and he was wearing a school uniform, fox and no shoes at jesse didn't seem scared but he just wasn't saying much. >> i said the little boy, where do you live? and he was like, no. i said where's your mom backs are you hungry? and he said yes, so i gave him a piece of bread. >> jesse has been missing for more than three weeks now which is why law-enforcement came out

they do plan to do more searches in the future but they just don't have any details yet. >> it is a gamble that they were not allowed to take, to businesses busted, accused of running an illegal gambling operation. both shut down, and search warrants also served at two glendale homes. investigators haveee every year. and, a crime spree over after phoenix police arrested this guy accused of robbing for people at gunpoint in just three hours. investigators are telling us his luck finally ran out when he dropped his id at one of the seasons. that led police right to him. >> it is a gut wrenching interview and one that you only see right here on abc15.com.

after he was hit with a driver going 100 miles per hour. his wife was making dinner, waiting for him to come home from work when police came to the door instead. she's heartbroken over the loss and furious that the man suspected of killing her husband is already out of jail. >> it's not fare that he gets to go home and have warm food ready for him. he doesn't understand that he took away a little girls daddy. >> that is just devastating for the entire family. martinez has a nine -month-old daughter. the family is raising money to try to support her and pay for his funeral costs. in the meantime, the suspect is facing assault and manslaughter charges. bail was set at $1000 and he posted it and is due back in

and family will say goodbye to a loving brother, son and friend. he died in his sleep earlier this week. the funeral is at noon in tucson and calls the death still being investigated. water worries in the northeast valley, some homeowners wondering if the water they need will be there when they need it. a meeting is set for later today hoping to squash some of those fears. businesses homes in the foothills northeast of scottsdale. there is some concern dealt because scottsdale wants to move water haulers to a new spot to get their water. the homeowners are concerned because the water company says that could lead to overcrowding and possible missed orders. >> i'm concerned because they are talking about the inability to get us our water in a timely manner to make sure that our

no one and will run out of water and the issue came after he complained about safety. the worry was with the trucks pulling onto dynamite road. >> new this morning for the first time in more than two and years, more children are leaving dcs care than those coming into the system. the state saying they are doing a better job of finding adoptive parents and reuniting families. the backlog of abuse and neglect reports on the decline. this comes after child abuse cases where the agency had history with all of the families. more f-16 fighter jets could be coming to arizona. luke air force base in the tucson air guard station are both potential options. the changes would not happen though until next year. >> new gear for a canine

cooled air is what kept us temperatures lower. this morning, a different picture and no rain to speak of. in fact, you have those mostly clear skies and through the morning, plan on clear conditions. this unofficially comes up at 5:49 a.m. so you will see abundant in china here this morning. it's 87 degrees now but we still have enough humidity with those two points sitting in the mid- excuse, and enough moisture to ticket feel warmer, at least 3 so that heat index is right at 90 degrees. we have some breezes right now coming out of the west at 12 miles per hour, and through the day today, we will keep some of those breezes between five and 15 miles per hour to the afternoon. our temperature is warming to 80 degrees by a and it will still be a human day, so keep that in mind. temperatures will warm to 90 degrees by noon and our high

good morning and welcome back. it is 5:14 a.m. and if you are just joining us, we are taking a live look outside at tempe as we wait for that sun to rise. it is 87 degrees, at how warm only get? >> this morning jerry sandusky will be back in will testify. he is appealing his 2012 conviction of sexually abusing ten boys. this is the first day of a three-day appeal hearing. sandusky is facing a more than 30 your conviction taste on allegations that his trial lawyers were ineffective. this will be the first time that we will all hear from sandusky himself because he did not testify in previous trials.

and we have a flood warning posted in effect until 3:15 3:15 p.m. this afternoon. for the valley, it is all dry this morning on abc 15 desert doppler and, you'll notice that it's dry across the state, as we begin the process of losing some of that monsoon moisture and tapping into some of that drier air setting in. you can see that drier air on our water that will help suppress the storm chances today. not just around the valley but, there is a chance for storms in higher terrain but the coverage will be much less than we have seen in the last few days. slight chance of a few storms across higher terrain, and, tomorrow also looking sunny and dry. and it might not be a bad we

police say covering so much ground is an easy. >> it's amazing how big the desert areas, it's trying to find a needle in a haystack. >> searching remote areas multiple agencies were on hand including fbi agents and police. they searched the desert areas and also an abandoned housing development between southern and brooks road. the boy has gone wondering before, and police did pick him up, back on april 20 fifth. he's been missing now for almost an entire month. the fbi began helping just days before his disappearance and detectives went through the home just one day after that. yesterday they went through jesse's home a second time but it's not clear right now what they were looking four, or if

live in buckeye, allison rodriguez, abc 15. >> it was a wild chase taking place on valley freeways as men tried to ditch police in a stolen toe truck. here is how all of this played out. you can see the truck flying down interstate ten and wild horse pass, just going buy himself. moments later, that long line of flashing lights right behind him, then he goes the wrong way on high rain on loop 202. r there sitting in the street. we also have exclusive video of the driver getting loaded into an ambulance. he was actually bitten by a canine police officer after police say he tried to run away, this time on foot. >> 533, let's talk about something really unique and bizarre. overnight there was a motorcycle mystery that unfolded in the east valley.

fire crews here on the scene of a crash, but the problem here is, there was no writer. the motorcycle was found on the us 60 interchange, right there on the board between tempe and mesa. initial calls were showing concern that the rider may have plunged off of one of the ramps there but, it does not appear that that was the case. >> we need your help solving a crime this morning after a hard- working immigrant is gunned down in co police are hoping that an $11,000 reward right help you identify the man who shot the 36 or old at 7011. his family is hoping the surveillance video get some answers. that is of course the photo of the man killed. the killer storming into the store, and we want this person too, as soon as possible behind

coming up throughout the weekend. it was supposed to be a normal day at work but it was anything but. only on abc 15, we are hearing from that clerk. police i that this guy walked into a car wash near peer nice valley mall with an 18-inch long machete, and robbed it the place. the clerk and the counter said he recognized him as a regular customer but this time he was waiting that long machete in her face. to me but, if i could open up the register for him. i was terrified. >> it sounds like he was kind of trying to be courteous, i suppose. police say he made off with about $250 cash and they caught up to him about an hour later. with the help of a partial license plate the click was able to provide, there he is. >> another story that our

fired tempe worker was caught on camera keying his bosses corvette. the employee was let go and when he came back for his tools, the boss tells us there was major damage left behind. the bosses car has been in the shop getting fixed, but he's glad that the suspect was tracked down and arrested. >> i just had a feeling. and i even said something, you stand behind me and i said, you aren't car, are you? $4000 is a lot of money. people pay it back. >> now to a consumer alert for you, a big shortage of construction workers here in arizona and it could mean tougher times finding a new home. but it is and also up an opportunity if you are looking for work. homebuilders like toll brothers are seeing more demand for new housing but many of those sites are sitting idle waiting for crews to get to work.

moisture levels will also helps suppress the storm chances. we could see some pop ups along the east and northeast, but i don't expect them to move into the phoenix metro. slight chance of a few pop-ups as well but, that's really it. it's looking nice and dry with clear skies into tomorrow morning. watch for storms if you are traveling from the high country out to the east and southeast for the valley, dry tomorrow and dry into sunday tomorrow, plan on slightly hotter temperatures, and under those mostly clear skies, tomorrow though is getting hotter with temperatures up near 110 by sunday. >> i told you about a crash is the couple of minutes ago on loop 101 in the north valley. now we have a look at that from our adot camera. it's partially blocking the left side of the ramp here, we don't have too many details but
