developing now, a bombshell out of the midwest where a murder conviction has been overturned in the case surrounding the social media phenomenon making it's a netflix series and tonight the judge overturned the conviction of brendan dassey. the judge criticized investigators and the defense attorney saying they made false promises to the then 16-year- old whose developmental disabilities. he must be released within 90 days unless prosecutors decide to retry him.

downtown campus today. students in tempe, asu west and the tech campus return this weekend. the fall semester starts next thursday ? [ music ] ?? one sorority hoping the catch the new student's attention, alpha phi put out this elaborate recruitment video with a custom song, jeeps and helicopter tours. they spent between 200 and $400,000 to make it. the national office now rejecting that claim. in a statement to abc 15 tonight writing in part with today's technology, a talented artistic team can produce a video like this for just a few thousand dollars, and that's what our chapter spent as well.

you're headed to the cardinals game tonight at the university of phoenix stadium, it's hot and humid out there. kickoff about 99 degrees. good thing they'll be inside, roof closed, temperatures in the 70s. but after the game is over heading out, temperatures still in the 90s out there in glendale. right now we are tracking a few isolated showers here and there across the state. one over the last hour, hour and a half near the loop 303 and sun city west, and now another batch coming fountain hills. gusty winds in the filths area. the rain -- fountain hills air. the rain itself still out to the east and sinking to the south, and so much falling areas north of there that a flood advisory is until effectful until flood advisory near san carlos, and storms near safford kicking up the heavy rain and a flood advisory issued for them as well, that's the green you see here on the map. we have over a hundred strikes

still brewing up along the rim as well. now over the weekend, some spot will get hit again, the valley forecast stays dry. storms continue to the east and southeast on futurecast, but there are even chances up to the north and farther out to the northwest too that the model isn't picking up, so higher terrain still has a chance of storms through the weekend forecast. right now we can see the clouds building on the north side of the superstitions. 104 degrees right now with the dewpoint at 61, and the is kicking up out of the west northwest at 12 miles per hour, so a slight chance at rain at 10 percent in the valley forecast for the next couple of hours, then dry later on tonight, and dropping into the mid to upper 90s as we approach sunset this evening, but still at 10 had in flail and -- 104 in glendale and tempe, and 100 in deer valley. anthem 94, sedona 88, and flagstaff at 56. tonight 40s and 50s along the rim. phoenix dropping to the 80s,

casa grande at 101, and 93 in prescott for tomorrow. a closer look at the valley, lows tonight in the # 0s for the -- 80s for the most part. tempe and ahwatukee 104, and 106 the high in avondale, glendale, and peoria. we are under an air quality alert and uv alert through the weekend, so keep that in mind. if you're headed out in the late morning or early afternoon try to avoid the triple digits, be careful, that's when you're miles an hour likely to get burned. the uv index peaks betwee 11:00 and 2:00. there's the next seven days for you. 105 saturday, 106 sunday, and 107 monday. the valley forecast staying dry through the weekend and early next week, then monsoon moisture returns and a slight chance of storms return wednesday, thursday and friday. >> reporter: welcome back to cardinals stadium. football is back, and what's the best part of going to a football game? >> reporter: the cooler weather? >> reporter: tailgating. >> reporter: they're all out there having a good time, and
