we start several shootings. a hit-and-run in phoenix. officers have one clue as to who the driver may be. >> police say he had a gun of bullets and then was shot. nearly three days later, the city of milwaukee looks like a war zone as protesters take to the streets. investigators say this guy was snapping dirty pictures of boys at a popular valley gym. we are learning that is not it. parents, what you need to know.

charlie's which is near seventh avenue. our crews are on the scene there, obviously, as we move the camera just around a little bit. we are trying to find out exactly who was hurt and who might be responsible. you see the large crime scene there that has been roped off. give us a few more minutes. we will reset that and revisit and i'll let you know what is happening in our community. let's move to another story. phoenix police are searching for the driver involved in a deadly hit-and-up. the victim in this case, a woman in a wheelchair who was apparently abc 15 is live near 478 had the street. justin, any idea what exactly occurred her here? >> you know, i just talked with investigators. they are giving me a better indication of what happened. as you look right here at this bike lane, that woman is actually trying to get up on to this sidewalk right here. unfortunately, she was hit before she could do this. investigators are out here looking on this street looking for parts of a truck they believe were involved in this. they

hospital trying to save her life. unfortunately, she did die. they do know she lived in the area. folks who live in this area recognize at least that wheelchair. she's believed to be in her 50s or 60s. police are not saying who she is, but they are looking for a dark-colored truck truck. and they don't know the make of ford. you know any info this, they want to hear from you. and coming up in the 5:00 hour, we are going to talk about a witness. they saw -- they came up on this crash shortly after it happened. and they shortly -- just a desperate scene out here. and jessie wilson is last seen. now his search and rescue has turned into a recovery mission. and

searching for jessie. and volunteers are no longer helping withing this search. and it is likely the operation will recover a body. however, awe knorrtys say there is still hope -- authorities say there is still hope they'll find jessie alive. earlier this week, we saw massive searches break out, but no sign of the little boy. neighbors are still concerned, even scared for him. >> i can't believe that. he hasn't come back home. and for us, that is very scary. that he comes home, you know. i hope that that boy, he's okay, you know, somewhere and hopefully just scared, you know. >> and so many of us sharing in that hope this morning. and the tipline open in the case. remember, you can call that number any time. childcare center at a very popular valley health club. joining us live with a school. >>reporter: well, dan and danielle, investigators first told us that an employee here at lifetime fitness was caught taking dirty pictures of children. according to this civil lawsuit that was just filed, that is not all that happened. documents are revealing that edward orr took a video of a four-year-old little girl naked. she was changing in the shower stall in facility. in the video, investigators say you can see him looking around to make sure no one was coming. that video ended up on a child morn website. that is how investigators were first tipped off about him. the victim's attorney claim that lifetime fitness hired him to work around kids without the fingerprints required by law. we asked lifetime fitness what is their policy when it comes to hiring employees when they work around children? we'll have the answer coming up

in our state. supporters got more than enough signatureings, but opponents filed a lawsuit. they say the text was confusing and it was misleading for those who signed that petition, yes. back at the live desk, the unrest in milwaukee i want to talk about. look at the images coming in. this following the shooting death of an armed suspect and an angry crowd now targeting the city throwing bricks, rocks, sliding gas -- lighting gas stations on fire. the riots and they are still happening ugh even right now. an officer was injured early this morning after the angry crowd threw objects at those officers. and they then have to move in armored vehicles to protect the officers. and one officer was shot in the chaos and has serious issues. in hand cuffs there in milwaukee. and we need to know

we are learning that a three-year-old child was dead after that child was shot. retaliation. the victims at another person were sitting in the car when shots were fired when somebody who ran boy. our sister station wptb is covering this as breaking news. at last check, we look at some of the images coming in. it's a fluid situation, but as of right now, dan, it sounds like nobody has been arrested or at least no suspects have been identified. only on abc 15, a father on a road trip with his young father takes a turn when the rental car they are in is reported stolen. he says it is what happened next with the dps trooper that really spoiled the trip. >> and fully up in the air the whole time. and slowly. and suddenly out of the blue. and blow -- our trooper absolutely said yes, i will shoot you.

chris, we were talking about this. the images coming out of louisiana are just incredible. >> this is something else. hitting home for my family. my wife is right there from la fayette, louisiana. they are just getting devastated. more than 10,000 people from in shelters as these dangerous floods continue to grow. more is expected. part of the i-10. that major artery there. portions of it are shut down. the federal government has declared a major disaster. some areas are still flooded. you can only see t cars and the roofs of homes here. this is something else. four people have died. the national guard is staying busy with rescues. the number is 20,000 people being rescued. >> it's a huge task. they need help not just now, but in the near future and the next few months. the red cross from arizona is taking action.

home. and a new reporting pediatrics, finding the babies are sleeping not very dangerous environments. researchersening looing at video recordings for the homes of 150 infants. even though they knew they were being recorded, most parents did not follow safe sleeping practices. many placing their babies on their stomachs or sides surrounding them with loose blankets or stuffed an ma'ams. that can be a problem and putting them in bed with the adults. a big no no. let's talk now about your most accurate forecast. we pollution advisory. if you have respiratory issues or maybe your children do, just keep that in mind. and maybe before you send them out the door or get to your school, talk to your teacher about limiting their time outdoors. we're going to see higher concentrations of that ozone pollutant. in is going to happen as the air becomes stagnant or abundant sunshine. give early heads up that we are under the ozone pollution. as we look live, all quiet here this morning.

we were tracking storms. not if case here this morning. it is all dry, and it is going to stay dry for the morning commute. it is mild out there though. we are sit right at 88-degrees in phoenix. luckily not dealing with the heat index this morning. our dew points are sitting in the upper 50s. they are not high enough to make it feel too uncomfortable out there. our humidity is on the low end. notice our sunrise at 5:51 in case you are making plans right around that to get outdoors. when you steepest side, it is going to be warm. we are going to stay warm to mild as we go through the early morning. the outdoor activities. the earlier you can get them done, the better. the cooler spots. mesa, also chandler. both coming in at # 1. 8 #. your valley, you're checking in still right at 90 degrees this morning. and we are going to heat up pretty quickly this morning. and we are sitting at 88 degrees now. we're going to be back in the 90s at 9:00. and up to 94 by

11:00. by lunchtime, we're already at 102 degrees. we have high pressure sitting just to our west. that is going to keep our forecast in the valley dry, but also hot. we will track some storms across the higher terrain in our state and we'll just have to keep a close eye on them as some of them could skirt pretty close to that northern maricopa county line and northeast. we could also get some gusty winds off the higher terrain and into the valley that could pick up ouroboroses. i am not expecting rain in the phoenix or even tomorrow. it won't be until wednesday that we start to see those storm chances gradually return. wednesday into thursday especially, and those storm chances stay at at least a 10% as we head into the weekend. but the next couple of days staying dry and getting hot. you notice it is in the hundreds again before lunchtime, and by this afternoon, 109. 10 # on tuesday before we start to see those temperatures trend down. we'll be right back. hey there, today's tech
