put on quite a show, lightning thunder and heavy rains. lets talk about what is going to be happening today. here's a look at the radar right now the temperatures are 82 degrees, the humidity lower today than yesterday. the dew points are still in the 60s. look at these temperatures, lower than we have seen this a while and below average for sure. coming up we going to talk about when we will see more rain chances. we staying on top of

lets get out there. i know you just got to the scene, what are you finding out. >> reporter: the victim is a rapper from california that resides in phoenix. he was celebrating his birthday at this strip club, he walked out of the club, he was celebrating with families members and they said they are not sure why moments later shots were herd ringing out. this is a motel next door. when the management heard the shots they came out. the man was found dead in the bushes. the police are expecting to rap up in an hour or two. they are waiting for the medical examer to come out.

identity. we being told that the rapper was celebrating his birthday. somewhere between the club and the motel he was found shot in the bushes. over glendale. a man was shot in a parking lot and is npt with serious injuries. there are no suspects in custody. the search is on for a driver involved in this hit and run crash. police telling us the motorcyclist was hit by someone driving a silver malibu. the driver is in the hospital

to catching the guy. you see these images, it's hard to believe that anybody could could have survived this crash near 59th avenue. a truck and suv collided here. both drivers were rushed to the hospital with nonlife threatening injuries. the truck is flammable. a car slammed into the cvs here. family members told us the driver was a young woman. her name has not been released. the crash turned the car into a twisted piece of metal.

know the name of a man that was killed by phoenix police. an officer was checking out a spish car when the -- suspicious car when the man lunged at him. the suspect tried to ru the police officer shot him. police storm a south phoenix home and arrest a man wanted for gunning down a seven/11 clerk. we say a couple of people hand cuffed and released a short time later. a third person in the home was arrested.

detective work, and the cooperation of the community, that's what brought this case to a close. the police said the suspect is joseph fatigoni. the terrifying moments were caught on surveillance. after failing a lie test joseph fatigoni confessed confessed to the crime. we now know what was going on at this home. a viewer sent in this video showing an arrest. the man was armed and the police said he committed a shooting. eventually the man came out of the home and nobody was hurt. the man is facing charges from

the woman is going to be charged and released. a man in alabama is accused of killing five people including a pregnant woman. officers made the discovery inside of a home. a baby was flds but was unharmed. the suspect knew at least one of the victims. the reason for the killing has this next story is so sad it's hard to talk about. a five year old girl it found dead after an amber alert was issued for her in minnesota saturday. authorities issued the alert after she was kidnapped by a family friend. the suspect is behind bars. the girl's mom said he was

home. when she woke up both of them were missing. a bit of relief in california. some evacuations are lifted from the fires. crews are making progress on the fire. it's burned more than 37,000- acres. 100 homes have been destroyed and 200 buildings as well. it's 70% contained but the fire is sparking other there is threats of looting. this week officials have arrested three people trying to get away with a truck. firefighters said the fire's erratic behavior should be reason enough for looters to stay away. as the waters recede in louisiana we are getting a look

yesterday. the winds are five to 10 miles per hour. look at your sunday forecast, this is going to be a 101 degrees today. our uv index is at 10. new today, we have an ozone advisory in effect here today. no other weather alerts but a 20% chance for isolated showers for us in the valley. by 10:00 degrees. we are in the mid 90s by 1:00 and we hit the triple digits late afternoon to early evening. low 90s by 9:00 p.m. here's the future cast. we usually need that daytime heating to see if these storms are going to pop up. the best thunderstorm chances are up north.

near at the knights in hotel. all that people know is that they heard shots fired. after they heard the shots the management of the motel saw the rapper dead in the bushes. here's what the family told us. >> i am in shock. i did fot want to believe it. to see him laying like, how could someone be so sick and hateful to take someone's life on their birthday birthday. >> reporter: that photo was provided to is by a family friend. he was celebrating his birthday at a phoenix strip club.

was over here at the knights inn. he was not checked into the hotel. the police are on the scene waiting for the medical examiner to transport the body. a burglar caught on camera at a mesa pharmacy. police said the counter while employees were busy with other customers. he grabbed prescription medicines and ran out of the store. if you have any information about the crime you are asked to call 480 witness. a canine officer has died

injured hikers. the hikers had minor injuries. the dog was taken to a vet for heat exhaustion. he was transferred to a critical care clinic and seemed to improve but then passed away. the dog served with the police department for one year. he is credited for several drug seizures. the police chief said we lost one of our own. investigators are looking into a spish fire, this is the second fire in less than six months in this location. no injuries have been reported. also in mesa the red cross is helping more than a dozen people that need a place to stay after a fire ripped through their homes.

this is abc 15 news, taking action. a shooting in phoenix killing one person overnight, it was at his birthday celebration. another overnight shooting in glandale. check out this video from one of our viewers. we look at the forecast. if we are expecting any wet weather, we will let you know coming up. first breaking news, it was supposed to be a celebration of life and now friends and family are mourning his death.

body was found. do they have any leads on the suspect? >> reporter: none that they are releasing to us. the police are still on the scene putting together what happened and how the body ended up over here at the knights inn motel. this man who friends and family are identifying to deluxe, was celebrate celebrating his birthday at the strip club across the street from the knights inn. the management from the motel heard shots and they found the body inside of the bushes.

investigating a shooting at a lounge in glendale. a man was shot in the parking lot. he was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries. no word on his condition. there are no suspects in custody. we are working to get the description from the police sphcht the search is on for a driver involved in this hit and run crash. police sowed told us a motorcyclist silver chevy malibu. a second motorcyclist was able to avoid getting hit. if you have any information call the police. bad weather postponed a prayer vigil for the knxv, abc 15 serial shooter.

arrested for the crime. the video shows an unrecognizable figure pointing a gun at two clerks. the figure is joseph fatigoni. this happened a week and a half ago. the phoenix police said they are surprised at the speed of how fast that case got solved. >> in detective work and cooperation from the community, we brought the case to a close. >> joseph fatigoni is facing a number of charges including murder. police have identified a man who was shot near 20th street friday morning.

on officer. the officer was checking out a suspicious car when the suspect pun muched him and grabbed the officer's weapon. the suspect tried to run but collapsed and died. the oif has a broken nose but the detective was not hurt. >> a man called called the police and claimed that a man in the house shot someone. nobody was hurt and the man was taken into custody. the man is facing charges. we have an update on a horrible crash this phoenix.
