saturday was great. this morning we are starting out try again. across the state the conditions are all dry. nothing to worry about this morning. we are kicking off the week with drier conditions and slider -- and slightly hotter temperatures. temperatures in the 100 this afternoon. i will break that down shortly. news, phoenix police are trying to track down whoever shot two people at a popular nightspot in phoenix. nick ciletti is on the scene with the newest information. >> reporter: at 16th st. and bethany home in front of cj tallies pub, you can see this entire shopping strip has been blocked off with police tape.

this area processing what happened. this is what we know, phoenix police tell us about 2:00 there was a fight outside the bar between four guys. it got out of hand. two tried to leave and police tell us they started hitting two other guys. one person was shot in the lower leg and the other person in the upper leg. we can working on somebody in the doorway. it doesn't seem like the guy had a chance to leave. what we do now is that those suspects drove off to the north on 16th st. and we are told they drove off in a gold chevy blazer. that is all we have been told. working to get an update from detectives. we're also trying to get an update on what is happening in the condition of the victims.

>> three people recovering after a motorcycle and a cyclist crashed near 44th st. in van buren. cruising three people were treated on the scene. no serious injuries. part of the cloud that was road is -- part of the road that was closed is now open. a high-speed chase and window ends up with a car in a building. >> this may be connected to an attempted abduction say they were initially in that area after a call came in for an attempted abduction. it is believed the silver sedan was being tailed by a car. one man says that's exactly what happened and it was his mom who took action to make sure these guys didn't get away. >> my mom was there and she attempted to stop them. when my sister got away she got into the car with my mom. the people took off so my mom

>> police say no one was in the bakery at the time so no injuries there. two people in the silver sedan went to the hospital and are expected to be okay. one man tried to run from the scene, he was taken into custody. this is still an active investigation. the all clear after panic at lax last night. this after people inside thought they heard gunshots and took off running ordered as authorities searched the terminus. -- terminals. reports appeared to have been triggered by loud noises. three terminals were shut down, roads were closed and flights delayed. everything is up and running by 11:00 last night. they are still trying to get

to airlines. , abuse of power, intimidation, low morale are the latest accusations aimed at the tsa. katie conner joins us live from sky harbor airport. and insider trusted you enough to share major concerns.>> reporter: this has to do with your safety. tsa is the last stop between you and a bad guy. this former employee told me the tsa doesn't follow their own protocol. >> there have been days i have been on x-ray five hours straight. you're only supposed to be there 30 minutes. >> that is julie, a former tsa officer at sky harbor. she says often times the tsa doesn't follow protocol because of understaffing. we checked with the union who represents some tsa employees and learned even more disturbing information. the biggest problem seems to be ongoing training for officers.

-- >> reporter: it looks like we don't have that interview clip. one man tells us employees, when they raise concerns, they are the ones who get targeted. i'll have more on that coming up. we did reach out to tsa and they have not responded. a fire near chandler and mcclintock, crews say this one is suspicious. it was a rental home and a tenant moved out yesterday morning. the fire started in the porch and spread to the garage and attic. the next fire is in tempe, just minutes away near railroad and a priest. the family heard what sounded like the bathroom exhaust fan making a strange noise. they didn't realize it was a

the family did make it out safely. the top section of their home is unlivable. that is still under investigation. his trial was supposed to start next month but last week accused murder leonard marino asked for a change of counsel due to irreconcilable differences. now he is expected back in court today. this time he's asking for his right to a speedy trial. he's accused of killing jorge vargas marina was 15 years old at the time of that shooting and pleaded not guilty. a man mcso says was behind the shooting spree on the beeline highway back in court today. james david walker on the -- opened fire on several people and officers back in may. he's facing 40 charges, including aggravated assault, armed robbery and kidnapping. walker says he is not guilty. the murder trial for man

he is the man accused of gunning down his uncle at a locally owned carwash in 2014. he went to his uncle's work, shot him and sat under a tree until police got there. investigators have not said what the motive was. he faces a first-degree murder charge. brand-new federal drone rules go into effect today. this is for drones weighing less than 55 pounds. their op monitor, use them to monitor cross -- crops or construction work, filming movies, etc. -- meaning these rules are not for the twins you play with. the rules also limit the use during the day and 30 minutes before sunrise and after sunset. the guidelines were originally announced in june. election season is upon us.

the polls across arizona for primaries. a lot of town and city races but also some city races. john mccain is going for his sixth term in office. sheriff joe arpaio facing his biggest number of components in any election. we will cover every inch of this primary election throughout the day tomorrow. back to school for thousands of college students. northern arab -- northern arizona university and grand canyon university both start both seeing big growth, even adding extra on-campus housing for incoming freshmen. hopefully they will have nice weather conditions. >> i think today is a perfect day as far as the weather. we are catching a break from the monsoon action. even though it has been an active week clearing up the storm chances and the valley is looking all dry as we are lacking the monsoon moisture.
