>> an officer responded and walked in behind me near where those two stood near the crime tape. it happened just before 3:00 a.m. the officer got out of the patrol car and matched the description earlier this week he approached the suspect that's when police say he grabbed a knife in his pocket. he fired and shot the suspect and rushed to a hospital and expected to be okay. with i don't know much more about it except that he's an adult male. fear valley is shut down. police are asking everyone to avoid the area if possible. >> we have more breaking news this friday morning. for the first time in a decade,

this afternoon. the 10% chance for the next hour or so, a bit quieter as storms get going in the high country. by lunchtime, into this evening, early evening, we have a 10% chance of a few more storms and dryer air clears out. any storms developing could bring dust to the valley, gusty winds and some localized heavy rainfall with the dryer air, we're clearing out the storm chances. it won't be until the middle of next week we see storms a high of 103. 10% chance of storms and look at the forecast, talking highs in the 100s but low 100s and the morning temperatures in the 70s in the valley. not bad if you're staying in town for the holiday. if you're heading up north for the holiday, to maybe flagstaff, a chance of storms today but
