residents and firefighters. back to you. right now from the abc15 live dress tracking a sdrat search on lake pleasant to find a missing boater. certificate certificate joins us live tonight and nobody has seen this guy since last night. >> reporter: that's right and we're learning that the search for 24-year old man was actually called as a possible drowning yesterday in this area of skorpon bay. we have video from yesterday went down to the skorp i can't even bay to talk to people. the helicopter circled the lake. the crews are searching the water using so he nar. the man got out to swim at one point and when we got back to shore he was gone. he knows how to swim but wasn't wearing a life jacket. the lake is busy with the holiday and boaters are being cautious. >> you kind of get all caught up and stuff. you just got to keep your head on straight and you're supposed

flames with the jet ski and luckily no one was injured dramatic rescue playing out at south mountain. our cameras the only one there as crews brought in a helicopter to fly out a biker. he flipped his bike and hit his head on a rock. with signs of the severe concussion he was rushd to the hospital where at last check he was listed in stable condition. traffic just a nightmare for those of you trying to get a it took an hour and 20 minutes to go just 7 miles on interstate 60. the back up 30 miles long right now. problem areas i17 southbound, and the 17 between bum bell bee and black canyon city. a lot of people getting out of town and coming back. >> can't fight the weather beautiful across the valley and the state. sunny skies. hard to find any clouds that are out there tonight. dry conditions tonight.

hurricane newton all in minutes. update out of phoenix police are on the hunt for a pair of gunman after a wild shoot out. the wild chain of events all unfolding overnight. that's where we abc15 reduce reduce. talked with people living in the apartment now left with pretty seergs damage. >> that's right the apartment now boarded up. the residents had to pick through the debris their shoes. the police say the shooting actually happened right down this road but the victim kept driving right into the apartment. >> all of the sudden i hear like at least four gunshots, boom boom boom boom, i hear the car peelg off and then boom and everything went black. >> reporter: the victim's car had driven straight through the wall where his roommates were sleeping sending the beds flying

this phoenix family all day long detectives have been going in and out of the home where the invasion happened early this morning. >> reporter: around 3 this morning the homeowner woke up to several men inside his home stealing his stuff. the homeowner grabbed the dwun and started shooting at the suspects. >> 911 is hearing the shots being fired. >> reporter: when police got here they were able to rescue the homeowner and the 9-year old daughter searched the nearby neighborhood for the suspects but they were gone. right now police officers are talking with neighbors to nail down a description and as soon as we hear one we will pass it along to you. connecticut abc15 news. thank you there is also a hunt for a robber accused of stabbing a man. he managed to escape and called for help as a nearby convenience store the attackers still on the

here's what's happening this is we will to the south of afrz airs and valley. the current conditions with the hurricane a category 1 storm. wind speeds increased to 85 miles per hour and gusts increased to 104. just last hour the latest indications those were still at around 92 miles per hour. it will move to the northwest as a category 1 storm overnight tomorrow through tomorrow morning. watch what happens we take this into tuesday and it begins to tropical storm and then depression. those remnants expected to come into southern arizona southeastern arizona. right now the track of this is going to be to the southeast of the valley. so the biggest impacts would be across southeastern arizona. still several days away. the track could change one thing that does look certain some of the tropical moisture will be moving in and that means we will be increasing our shower and thunderstorm chances statewide and some of those could be on

showers and thunderstorms. some of the rain. that will be the biggest potential as you look at rain chances just a slight increase in monsoon moisture across the state. we'll leave that at 10%. most of the state dry tomorrow. 20% in phoenix coming on wednesday. 30% chance on thursday with isolated lingering chances as we wrap up the week. and isolated rain chances between 30 and 40% well. precipitation changes could be a little bit over the next couple of days as the track changes as it pushes to the north. beautiful shot. under sunny skies sitting under 100 degrees. falling into the 70s overnight and warmup quickly. upper 80s by ten. a little more cloud cover in the tuesday forecast with partly cloudy skies as we go through the evening and very slight rain chances and highs tomorrow where we topped out at 1 on 01 today.
