team will continue searching for a missing boater late into the night while the family tries to help any way they can. maryellen resendez has been with the family, and joins us now from lake pleasant, and it's going to be so difficult for them. >> reporter: very, very emotional day for them especially now that the sun starting to set, and it's late into the day, and still no good word. the family has been arriving and they're also taking, you know, obviously some action on their own. the 24-year-old was boating with a prudent person of friend on sunday when he got -- group of friend on sunday when he got lost and never made it back to the boat. when friends returned to where they were swimming they tried to look for him, but he was gone. sheriff deputies used a sonar system and robot to search the

down quick. we've already seen two flood advisories issued across southern arizona so far today as the moisture cruises in, and those rain showers begin. it's going to get worse overnight and tomorrow, and the key area to watch out for is going to be across southeast arizona. this is where we expect widespread heavy rain starting overnight and continuing through tomorrow morning. at this point all of the models keep most of it far too east for the valley to get any substantial rain fall but the atmosphere is going to have a lot of moisture in it, so if we start to see showers and thunderstorms in the area, possibly extending into tomorrow afternoon we could see isolated spots that get close to an inch. overall though we're expecting most of the valley to get less than a quarter of an inch. tonight 10 percent, overnight we bump it to 30 percent continuing into tomorrow morning. then into midday wednesday, a 20 percent chance of the forecast as the flash flood watch continues. overnight wednesday into

to 10 percent, and we could see a few more storms on thursday before the moisture clears out heading into the weekend. but here's the rain fall forecast, not just for tomorrow, but tonight, tomorrow, and even on thursday. so the high country potentially up to a quarter of an inch. they're going to be the driest, and northwest arizona left out of the mix all together. southeast arizona could get two to four inches, and the valley could stretch anywhere from nothing to up to a half an inch, mainly in the east valley locations that are closer to the edge of where that moisture lies. forecast lows tonight, down into the 50s for prescott and payson. 46 in flagstaff, and tomorrow looks at these highs, 70s and 60s along the rim. southeast arizona only in the 70s tomorrow afternoon with phoenix hitting 91, about 12 degrees below average. and coming up we'll talk about the temperatures into the weekend. only because of dna has a

at 10 percent. then up it to 20 percent overnight. midnight, 1:00 a.m., 2:00 a.m., then into the 6:00 hour, and prior to that about 5:00 a.m. we ramp the chances up to 30 percent. keep them going through the morning forecast, and take them down in the mid-afternoon. a slight up tick in the mid to late afternoon, then back down tomorrow evening. the best bet is tomorrow morning for rain. most of it staying east and southeast of us. here's what we're looking at for the latest trends in our precipitation. most of the valley less than a quarter of an inch. some of us could get nothing from there. there's a chance that parts of the east valley could see up to a half inch, and then we'll have to watch for stronger thunderstorms that develop because in those spots where they do, the rain fall forecast could be a lot higher. but the bulk of this looking to stay east and southeast of the valley, so mainly watching southeast arizona for a wet
