now hours later protesters have gathered and they're clearly angry. they've been destroying police vehicles, injuring several officers, and one tv crew had to get away after the protesters started rocking their van. at that mayor is pleading for calm. and closer to home, a hotel turning into the frightening scene of a robbery. a man is on the run after walking into this resident's inn and leaving empty handed. ck ball of fire in one man's backyard. we brought this to you at 6:00 as breaking news. >> a car and two trailers going up in smoke, but amazingly the flames didn't spread to a nearby fire. >> jason is live on the scene, and a hear a neighbor tried to put the fire out? >> reporter: yes, there's the burned out trailer. a man visiting the neighbors over here grabbed this hose, ran into the backyard, but this wasn't much of a fight against

so let's take a look at that video. some of the other neighbors grabbed their phones and shot this video showing a flaming fifth wheel trailer and two cars, and also firefighters who were not able to save the vehicles, but did keep the flames from spreading to nearby homes, so that's the good news. the man that owns the trailers says he has no idea what 6 started the fire, and the cars, he was actually working on them for friends. >> one was squirting water in the back trying to bring it down, but it wasn't helping so we called 911. >> neighbors came down and said the trailer in the backyard was on fe, so i called 911. what can i do? clean it up. >> reporter: fire investigators are out here looking for a cause, and they don't have anything yet, but the were collecting videos like the ones we just showed you hoping to find clues in there. guys back to you well a lot of clouds and

for the terrorists. >> clinton and trump will face off in the first presidential debate on monday, and it just got even easier to watch. abc news teaming up with facebook to stream all three upcoming the debates. the first one is in new york and you can watch it live right here on abc 15. now for the forecast, and showers starting to pop up late tonight across the valley once again, so i want to track a couple of heavy pockets right now in scottsdale as we and label some of the streets between 64th and shea and heading north. they'll cross the 101 shortly, and farther back to the west an isolated shower near sun city moving north and northeast, crossing 99th avenue sunday. more rain north of new river and i-17, and we have showers to track across the higher terrain starting to wind down a bit, but it's been a soggy day up there.

-- some places like williams seeing over two inches of rain today, and there's a chance of more in the forecast into tomorrow as well. so again, all of this moisture getting pulled up from what was once hurricane paine, now not even a tropical depression anymore, it's been downgraded to a post-tropical cyclone, just a remnant low, but it will continue to progress toward the baja peninsula slowly over the next 12 to 24 hours meaning we're still pulling the moisture in. dewpoint and hid saying high tomorrow, and we could see scattered showers break out once again in the afternoon hours. so the valley chance, about 20 percent tomorrow. higher chances in the higher terrain up to the north throughout the day, and a better chance up north into thursday with a slight chance still lingering into the valley as well as we deal with the next storm system coming in. here's the next four days, we leave it at 40 percent for the higher terrain storm chances. 20 percent here in the valley wednesday and thursday, and then drier air in on friday and

the area of low pressure digging do you think out of the pacific northwest into the great basin. this is going to be bringing that chance of showers and thunderstorms into the thursday forecast as it interacts with some of the moisture still left behind from paine, and we'll crank up the winds and bring in the cooler air bringing valley highs back to the 80s by the end of the week. 84 degrees right now. dewpoint in the upper 50s, and winds backing off after a breezy day today. most of the valley i the low to mid-80s. we have spots in the 70s like cave creek and anthem, and also to the west, buckeye at 77 right now. across the state low 60s in prescott and sedona. flagstaff at 52. these spots up north that have been seeing the 30s in the overnight hours won't get that cold tonight. upper 40s to low 50s in play. the cloud cover that's sitting over the state will trap the
