>> stay with us for good morning america and have a great monday. this is abc15 news, taking action. >> a protest is planned for today and before you head out the door, we'll tell you where you should probably avoid. a gas station becomes a crime scene after a man shot is and killed. the candidates are nearly neck and neck in a lot of the polls and you can expect the glovers to come off. it's the first televised debate and you can watch it right here. >> 4:30 and waking up bright and early. i don't know how many people said to me over the weekend how great the weather was. >> perfect in the 90s. a beautiful weekend but i'm tracking changes in the form of rain chances.

and you'll notice a few more high clouds drifting in from the south. we start the day with high clouds. and i can't rule out a stray shower. it won't be until this evening that we start to bring back the rain chances. we're sitting in the mid-80s. a mild start warming to 90 today. we talk about the increasing winds and the storm chances in just a few minutes. news. salt river police officers are investigating after a man was shot dead at a gas station. let's take you to the scene. justin pazera is live near hayden. anybody in custody? >> reporter: that's the good thing. police are telling us that two people are in custody in this case. that's the good news. and here's the deal. they are looking for two witnesses. they were in the parking lot

on and went inside to alert the clerk and then left. they are looking for two witnesses or anyone else in the area that possibly saw all of this going down. police were looking for the suspect's car. there was a brief pursuit and they were able to catch up to the car. two people were taken into custody for questioning. a 35-year-old african-american male was shot and killed right in this gas station parking lot. at this poin on the motive. right now police are not identifying the victim because they have to notify his family. >> that's the newest information. and breaking overnight, a bicyclist was hit by the i-17 and camelback. this is considered a hit-and- run. the bicycle was crossing

turn. the person has non-life- threatening injuries. six days of protests will today will number 7. it's a sight all too familiar. protesters filling the streets, all in response to the death of a man by police. a midnight curfew in charlotte was lifted and protesters tried to block a major interstate. the question -- will this be the will we see more protesting. >> and it's being called moral monday and not directly inked to the shooting death in charlotte but the shooting death of a 19-year-old in tempe, months ago. this could become a big problem for drivers in the area. >> reporter: the organizer plans to shut down the tempe bridge even though the police

for dalvin hollands. he robbed a walgreens, led police on a chase, and then he was shot and killed. police thought he had a weapon. but the gun was never found. and the lieutenant's body camera was not on. they want the lieutenant fired or for him to resign. the protests will intensify. police don't this to happen. this was protest a months ago in downtown phoenix. and this was also led by jared moppin. police blocked access to i-10 and used pepper spray to control them. protesters will be asking for justice for michelle -- shot and killed by a phoenix police officer. organizers say the protests today will be peaceful but of course tempe police will have

now to a developing story in phoenix. went to let you know, many of you have been calling the newsroom. and we're -- a photo of guns warning people to stay home today. several concerned parents and students shared the post to the abc 15 facebook page. we have reached out to the school district and th taking this very seriously. dan, we have calls in to them. and if you have information, send it to share at abc15.com. at least 10 people were hurt in a three car crash. a young girl is in critical condition after being thrown from one of the cars. five other people are listed in serious condition. you think you know the ins and outs of this case, think again.

shocking moments, you'll only see this on abc 15. the yoga teacher found not guilty of sexual acts at a bar mitzvah is now telling her side of the story. the boys who almost landed her in jail thought that her breasts were family property. >> they came into that room. i was passed out. and they could pretty much do whatever >> reporter: the family that hosted the party paid for her breast augmentation. and the adults asked her to show her breasts and later in the night, the boys drugged her. was there audio? there was. that proves her innocence.

afternoon. a 20-year-old suspected of opening fire at a department shore in seattle will be in court today. five people were killed in the attack at a macy's. officers are now looking into shatan's ex-girlfriend and whether she worked at macy's. scottsdale medical marijuana dispensary called harvest of scottsdale. >> the million dollars dispensary is now one of the largest in the state. they have an open house. not just to medical marijuana patients. >> there are a lot of stereotypes about medical marijuana dispensaries. s in an opportunity to invite people and show them what

and in snow ma, california -- sonoma, california, evacuations are taking place. the vegetation in the area is extremely dry and brittle. and the terrain is difficult to access here. so right now it's only 10% contained. at this point doesn't sound like any injuries but a lot of concerns. i almost called in sick af gut figuratively. there's something to say for the ball bouncing your way. but when you get blown out of the stadium. the red birds ran into a buffalo bill shaped wall. the cards taking on the rams in glendale on sunday.

clouds are increasing from the southeast. and our satellite is a little glitchy. you can see the clouds moving in across the valley. we'll start the day with cloud cover. and i'm looking at sprinkles early this morning. it's very, very light. and much of it well to the southeast. we'll watch some of the southeastern valley spots for a slight chance of a stray sprinkle or a very, very light shower this morning. as we go through the rain chances will gradually increase. what we have is an area of low pressure, a storm system sitting to the southwest. it's bringing in the moisture and it's going to kick up the moisture. watch that line of rain. it gradually works its way north. then tomorrow, more chances of rain and we could get thunderstorms tomorrow. so tomorrow's storm chances are up a little higher. a 10% chance early this

work its way north. and then we could see it move to the phoenix metro later on. and overnight tonight a little quieter before storm chances start to kick up through the day on tuesday. and we'll see the storm chances through thursday before we bring some drier air in here. the storm chances will go up in the high country but not until tomorrow except for the white mountains. so for today, the 10% chance through 6 a.m. for a slight chance of a sprinkle or a shower in the southeast valley. and as we go into this evening. the 10% chance between 4:00 and 8:00 this evening for a few light showers. 84degrees is the current temperature. i think we'll drop before we start to warm up. the high, 90 degrees. the temperature lower as the
