longer here. instead, you can see neighbors adding to an already growing tribute to the boy. in the past hour, police say this boy was being watched at home today by his mother and two siblings. police say the boy went into the parent's bedroom, found a handgun and that's when the mother heard a bang and found her son with a gunshot wound. police say the gun belonged to the boy's father who was not home. nobody has been arrested. neighbors have been trying to piece together what happened described as quiet. they set up this makeshift memorial but there is still a lot of raw emotion and mixed emotions in this community. >> it was neglectful to leave the gun out but it still heart wrenching to lose your child. that's something you have to live with. >> again, avondale police saying they haven't filed any charges were made any arrests in this case. they are still

it didn't take long to look through surveillance and find out who mcso needed to arrest for a burglary at a pawn shop. this guy, eric fernandez they say did all the damage yesterday and 99th and bell. however, we still don't know if he took anything. police are stumped by a pool of blood in the middle of a bullhead city street. they don't know if somebody had a medical emergency or if the blood is connected to a crime. this story gets even stranger because next to the blood, police say they found a hat, a pair of shoes, and keys. we will keep you posted. caregivers are comical -- or criminals? sheriff's deputies arrested a bunch of people claiming to own a medicinal marijuana business but it was a drug warehouse. they say the lab could make $14

coming up through goodyear and apoaching litchfield. as we get some of these streets labeled, i-10 between estrella parkway getting moderate frame dish moderate rainfall which will increase over the next 10 minutes. we've got that heavier batch from the south and it's going to continue to progress north through litchfield park. there is another round behind it so more rain over the next hour. we will keep tracking it for you. meantime, lots of power at -- showernd to the east and north and chances increase for more in the forecast overnight. we are continuing to pull moisture from the south. some of that remnant moisture from what was once tropical storm rosalind. we will pull that up, increased two points going into tomorrow. as we what futurecast take away, you will notice by tomorrow morning early afternoon, two points possibly in the 60s in the valley. a humid day and rain chances at

74 degrees at 8 am and 90 degrees at noon. mid-90s through the afternoon forecast. here is the latest on futurecast in terms of clouds and rainfall. it puts the timing early tomorrow morning about 3 am. stoffel start to berube down to the south and pushing to the valley. anytime between 5 am and 10 am is fair game tomorrow morning and tomorrow afternoon looks like most of the action is in the early morning hours of north before we see a chance increase in the te and evening here in the valley. a slight chance friday and then we see drier air pushing for the weekend. phoenix, a 30% chance, a 60% chance of north for showers and thunderstorms tomorrow. there is that drying trend clearing out storms by saturday and sunday. here are the hazards to watch out for. gusty winds, blowing dust, which we have already seen this evening. those will continue to be medium threats as well as heavy pockets of rain. those that get rain could see

a new page of controversy for sheriff paul babeu. sources tell us the fbi has subpoenaed records related to how babeu's office used seized criminal money also known as rico funds. is like money laundering. and they've also accused babeu of using the funds to fuel his campaign. it may already be illegal campaigning with government resources. or if they're just being used to make the sheriff look good, as he runs for congress.

federal alert. a woman got a call from somebody claiming to be with the maricopa county sheriff's office, telling her there was a warrant for her arrest and she needed to pay with a money. card. she did it. detectives track the funds and found it was linked to a money- laundering ring and georgia. if you bring a sword to a family fight, you're going to jail. that is what happened hughes. he got into an argument with his step daughter and her husband outside an apartment complex. that's when witnesses say he was pulled out a sword and swung it. three valley schools and one in tucson are making the grade according to federal standards. jack barnes elementary and fuller elementary school, university high school in tucson, and vista del sol in

just into the live desk, we're trying to put together what went wrong in carolina today in an elementary school where someone walked in, firing shots. we now know the teenager accused of the shooting is in custody but we have just learned he contacted his grandparents and they were the ones to go to the home and find the teenager's father dead. we don't know if it was paternal or maternal grandparents but these details just coming in. that teenager is accused of shooting and killing his father and then going to the

all of those three people are expected to survive. we will keep the updates coming out of south carolina. showers and thunderstorms moving into the rally right now. a live look from our phoenix children's hospital camera. dark clouds over there. the camera bouncing around as wind picks up. as we track those wind speeds for you, they are strongest in chandler at 23 miles per hour but we are feeling then pick up in the west valley near luke air force base where they are getting closer to the shower here that is moving through. stronger stuff a little farther down to the south of i-10 coming off at higher terrain and moving through good year over the next 15 to 20 minutes or so. we have once all over litchfield park and one further south which is heavier and will bring the heavy rain and lightning into good year. a few showers popping up elsewhere across parts of phoenix and scottsdale at this hour. rain chances are going to increase overnight into thursday. all the way up to 30% in the

court records show he has been fighting for that job for years, even suing the city of phoenix saying he was mistreated at the firehouse, saying it was retribution for whistleblowing about drug use and other issues. abc15 went to his home that he shares with his wife. we were looking for answers but we didn't get any. wilson did try to defend himself in court. >> i didn't do that. >> you need to talk to your attorney. i have received information from the police. >> reporter: while the victim was being attacked, she says she was a virgin and that's what got things to stop. officers say she is so brave to report it to police and the sketch is the key in this case. from the live desk now, the excuses one man gave after police say he hit and killed a man on the highway who was trying to fix a flat tire on the i-17.

further up there along the 303 also seeing that shower, which was the first to come in earlier. that made it across portions of the 303. rain picking up in intensity to the east of i-17 south of sunny slope and more rain showers along the 101 as well. this is going to be tapering off in the next hour or so in then we increased chances going into the overnight forecast and early tomorrow morning. we still have lots to track in the higher terrain the next several hours and the chance of storms in these spots tomorrow at about a 60% shot for places like site -- like flagstaff. 80% chance in the morning in the valley starting in the 70s. by noon, 90 degrees, rain shower chances tapering off in the early afternoon but pick back up again in the later afternoon and evening to 20%. temperatures near average, highs in the mid 90s and we see that drop off into the 80s after sunset. we are at 93 degrees, dew point
