any arrests. we of course will keep you posted on what we hear from phoenix police. we are pressing them for answers this morning. the search continuing for little jessie wilson missing for more than two months. mary ellen resendez is joining us live from buckeye. mary ellen resendez, you just got done speaking with that boy's mom. >> reporter: yes. this is the biological grandmother actually, nick, that we spoke with. her name is cynthia lauderdale. she is the called this rescue group, asking them to help search for him. they are searching for 10-year- old jessie wilson. he went missing july 17th and has not been found since. it has been about two and a half months. his biological grandmother still wants to find him. he has hope they will find him still alive. but of course she is being realistic about this. the group that is going out with her today is the arizona

they will be searching some of the outer areas of buckeye. they're waiting for the rest of the team members to show up before they hit the outer areas. now, we spoke with sin knee aa short time ago. it's an emotional day for her. she says she certainly hopes they will find jessie. but she wants him found. cynthia has been fighting for jessie for about six years now and continues to fight for his two siblings. she says the court fight isn't over. she is hoping to get back as well as the two other children. we will have the exclusive interview on the evening newscast. again, we spoke with her. it's the first time that anyone has spoken with her. it has been an emotional event. any time that you have a missing child. this will be a two-day event. they will be searching today and tomorrow until dark. we're live in buckeye, mary ellen resendez, abc 15 news. a man who police believe was walking to a football game

crossing the street. he was crosss tate um last night and scottsdale christian was playing a game steps through the road. he later died. the driver was not impaired or speeding. no charges are expected. body cam video makes it clear here at least in this case. we're getting an expert opinion though on whether or not a deadly officer-involved shooting in kingman really was justified. you can judge for yourself. we want to warn you right now that you're about to see and hear how it all went down. >> drop the gun. >> hang on. hang on. >> drop the gun. >> taser. judge really hard to hear those gunshots go off. but we sat down with andy anderson, a retired assistant police chief, who is an expert witness. he says that officers are there to arrest kay for having a stolen gun. s.w.a.t. clearly identifies itself. the suspect is told to drop the

anderson, the next few seconds so lied identify in his opinion that this was all justified. >> he showed up at that door with a gun in his hand, deadly force. and the officers did everything that they could to try not to use deadly force against him by going to the taser. they didn't have to do that. that was above and beyond for them to do that. >> kay was killed. one officer is still recovering in the hospital. another was braised by a bullet. in the meantime near san diego, protests slightly quieter than the last few after police released the full video of when they shot and killed alongo who used to live in the valley. it shows him being shot after i raised both hands and took what is described as a shooting stance. businesses in the area have been asked to close early. that will last for the entire weekend. police are taking precautions for possible riots and looting after the release of the video while prosecutors decide if any charges will be filed against

charlotte say they will release all of that dash cam and body camera video from the deadly shooting that sparked riots in the city. that could happen as soon as next week, once the family of scott gets to see it first. 29-year-old angela charge is accused of second degree murder. her 3-month-old baby died. she left the little girl in a full bathtub for more than 25 minutes alone. this happened last saturday and the child was taken off life support three days later. well, quit clowning around is the message from police this morning after fourteens are arrested for posing clowns, posing threats to west valley schools. nothing funny about this one. they keep popping up. schools on high alert after getting threats of kidnapping kids and killing teachers. >> it's startling for me as a

i tell them to be brave and strong. on the inside, i'm guyingib side and i want to bring them home and lock them in their rooms and not let them go outside. >> well, mesa police are asking parents to keep a close eye on the computer activity of their kids. they want to get these clowns off the street asap. nick. >> one man facing serious jail time after he is accused of setting off fireworks in wal- mart. his buddies cops arresting this guy here, saying he's the one who lit a firework inside the wal-mart which led to this big fire. it happened back in june at indian school. people were seen scrambling to get another of the store, not sure what was going on. bailey could be forced to pay for repairs as well as jail time. she ended up risking her life for her purse. a lot of us think our lives are in our purse. right?

activity out there. we're told that a guy armed with a gun walked into there and robbed that place. he fired the gun one time. thankfully nobody hit here. but police are searching for the gunman. a valley mom heart broken and shocked after her 18-year- old daughter's body is found in a buckeye canal. gutierrez was found last friday so badly beaten it took days to identify her. whoever is responsible is still out there this morning as her mom plans on to her final moments with her daughter. >> i hugged her and said i loved her. she said she loved me. i'm glad that i got to say that. you don't get to say sometimes -- sometimes say what you need to say to someone before it's too late. >> a individual he i will is planned at surprise park tomorrow night. the gofundme account information is posted on abc15.com. well, drinking and driving and hitting a police cruiser in the process, yikes, officers

they believe was drunk caused a lot of the damage last night. near 17th street and union hill. now, fortunately no one was hurt in that incident. and there's a picture of the aftermath. scary situation there. let get to this other story. a brush fire in the west valley, forcing fire crews to work throughout the night. look at the embers burning there. air 15 was over the scene. this is 91st avenue and southern as the smoke hovered over the neighborhood there. many people could see and smell the smoke. crews have a good handle on it but won't take their eyes off of it yet until it is completely out. make sure that they're safe there. let's talk about your most accurate forecast. better to be battling this today than tomorrow when we will start to see the winds pick up. here is a live look outside right now. some spots in the valley are seeing clouds, especially in the distance. at least outside of our queen

out there this morning. some spots have warmed up a bit. in the 80s in glendale. 79 in le convenient. the warm-up has already started. we won't drop more than this in the morning. mid to upper 70s currently across the valley. current wind speeds are not bad either if here measuring at all. some spots quiet like chandler and deer valley this morning. now, we just wrapped up monsoon. that ended yesterday. here is how we stacked up in case you're curious. a lot of people like to ee track of this. we were below average every month for rainfall. at least at phoenix sky harbor. the total fell short as well. this monsoon wasn't complete non-soon as we were joking about. but still below average from what we were expecting. futurecast here, as we press play on this one here, you can see as we take it into the afternoon, we're staying clear in the valley. i wanted to show you the broad picture in case you had plans to go up north. a stray shower up there.

valley, you won't see anything today. what you will see overnight is increased cloud activity. you see that pushing on through there. as we continue this into tomorrow morning, that will thin out a lot. a few clouds but mostly clear. we will start to see the green, the rain chances down to the south. we're staying pretty dry. no rain chances in your forecast for the next couple of days and even into monday morning the commute looks dry. getting back today as we break down the temperatures hour hour. 86 by noon. we're at 96 by 3:00. warm throughout the rest of the afternoon. a very warm one. but slightly above average. we're not too far off from that. here is a look at the pollen forecast. in the medium category today, tomorrow and monday. if you suffer from allergies, looking out for the main ones at the bottom part of your screen. for today across the valley, look at this, the average is 94 degrees. we're close to that.

trump support hers don't have -- supporters don't have much faith in the election system. half of those who have a favorable opinion of trump have little confidence that votes will be counted fairly. trump says that he thinks that things are stacked unfairly against him. speaking of trump, he is in the battle ground state of pennsylvania today for a rally. hillary clinton is spending her saturday relaxing, perhaps doing debate prep. she has no official events on the schedule for today but will be in state. everyone may need a break after the twitter storm and war of worlds. the two vp candidates will have a debate. they are preparing already. campaign sources said that they were been studying binders of materials and holding prep sessions. on the democratic side, tim kaine has been in north carolina since thursday.
