our top story, search for missing jessie well son. the buckeye boy disappeared in july and the renewed push to find this young boy. megan, who is behind this search? >> well, it was -- >>reporter: well, it was jessie's grandmother that really wanted this to happen. we have search crews out here. this is a nonprofit group who's taking a break righted now but more and they'll be standing out here in the deserts of avon dale and buckeye planning to search well into the night and back out again in the morning. jessie's grandmother says she's never been the same since he's been missing. she hasn't seen him in six years because he was adopted but has been fighting for custody of the little boy the whole time. she's fighting for custody of the other two siblings. if she would have been granted custody, jessie would not be missing rite now she says.

the search nor jessie wilson turning into an around the clock effort in buckeye as groups are out there searching for the boy. we have team coverage from the search area. megan, why the new push tonight after he's been pushing for nearly three months now? >>reporter: well, kim, this is a plea from a family member refusing to give up hope no matter how long.

this is what a nonprofit private rescue team and volunteers and they've moved their search to avondale in the outskirts of buckeye and jessie's grandmother is with them today. her name is cynthia and hasn't seen him in six years since he was adopted. she's been trying to get custody and hopes he's found so she can bring him with her. one of her biggest fears this happens and why. >> every day is a challenge for me. i'm just hoping that, you know, he's found and justice is served if there's been foul play. but if not, i hope he's found alive. >>reporter: right now, crews going out back to search again as you can see right now. heading out we're taking shift ands breaks and she wants closure and hoping this team will bring that to her.

home and abc 15 says she'll continue our team coverage with just how this group operates. >>reporter: arizona extreme terrain search and rescue planned to search the outer areas of buckeye, mostly desert areas for the next two days and they plan to go around the clock. >> there's gonna be a very difficult search and time consuming. >>reporter: using all terrain, they're hoping to find 10 year- d missing in july. >> i hope somehow he's out there and managed to survive but at the same time, the biggest thing we're looking for is help this family find closure. >>reporter: volunteers also plan to comb the terrain by horse, foot back, and air by drones. this gets personal because he himself lost a child. >> it's something that i more than understand.

arizona voters. johnson's visit is the first of three candidates this week. on tuesday donald trump will be in prescot valley. this will be his sixth campaign stop in arizona and democratic vice presidential candidate tim kaine next saturday. you've likely heard about the election hacking that's happening in arizona and illinois. secretary of homeland security saying no manipulation of data has been seen. jay johnson said hackers have made their way into election systems but haven't messed with the voting information. so far, 21 states have contacted for the agency for helping safeguard their election systems. after the first record setting presidential keppy date between donald trump and hillary clinton, we're diving into claims from both candidates. trump was right when murders in new york city are up while clinton invited russia to hack
