that area. brand-new video of a shooting in phoenix near 32nd st. and thomas. the victim was shot multiple times and is expected to survive. it is unknown if anybody was arrested. summer temperatures might be gone but the desert heat can be very dangerous. >> there is a death investigation underway in peoria after five-month-old baby was found dead inside a car. nick ciletti is live with more on this. first, how hot did it get yesterday? >> i ju temperatures were only in the low 80s. what you have to remember is inside of a car temperatures can soar 30 degrees. that happens in half an hour time. right now i'm working to figure out how long that baby boy was left inside the car. here is what we know, the baby was left in the care of two people at the time. we are working to figure out what the relationship was. at some point one caretaker

they took the baby out of the car and tried to revive the baby. even a neighbor performing cpr to try to save the boy five. >> my kids came in and said this baby needs help. i ran in and did cpr but no success. >> reporter: police are telling us they have the two care makers -- caretakers in the custody. there telling us charges could be possible. coming up, we are taking action and will run through some tips this tragic doesn't happen again. we now know the name of a six-year-old boy who died in a deadly crash in south phoenix. two trucks collided near the intersection of a 40th st. and broadway. one of them carrying three kids in the bed of a truck. all three were thrown from the crash. six-year-old tiebreak jenks sons

one man charged with dui and manslaughter police tell us he admitted to being high and drunk . as for the other children and passengers in the truck, they are expected to survive. certainly you never know what you encounter on the roads. one motorcyclist slammed into a wrong way driver on the loop 303 near bethany home road. we are told dps got the call around 7:00 last night after the driver, a woman in her 30s was on the motorcycle when she was hit. she was wearing a helmet and a jacket. those are two major contributing factors that led to what appears to her recovery. dps says the wrong way driver went into what is being described as a physiological upset -- episode. i don't know what that means. it caused disorientation. the driver was cited for going the wrong way. students returning to class in surprise might see

of a flasher near campus. this letter was posted on the paradise honors high school facebook page. school officials say a man was on the sidewalk of mountain vista road near the campus on friday and was exposing himself. officers searched for that man but they never found him. the race to the white house is down to 35 days. donald trump is dealing with fallout from the new york times story exposing his tax returns. that story has given the clinton camp powerful ammo. trump was quick to fire back with targeting personal attacks. new york times says an anonymous tipster sent them trumps 1995 tax return. they say -- records show a $916 million loss. a number so large trump could have legally have paid no federal taxes for up to 18 years . while trumps team called a genius, others say this is an insult.

town halls will be held today to learn about the general election ballot proposition. tonight's mountain -- town hall is that the college mountain community library. running through the end of the month. october 27 is the last one. a volatile situation in los angeles after two deadly officer involved shootings in 24 hours. the latest last night. lapd got calls about a man in the area with a gun gang unit officers responded. they noticed two men walking down the street. one matched the description in the call. officers say they tried to talk to that person and the shots were fired. one witness says officers just started shooting. >> the police officer in front of him shot him one time. he fell on the ground and then the officer that was in front of him took a few steps and shot him three more times. >> one man was hit and died at the hospital. no officers were injured.

it doesn't end there. >> that shooting happened in the same area where in 18 you will was shot and killed on saturday. that is prompting riots like this in that area. this is brand-new video just into the newsroom. you can see the protesters there taking to the streets of self los angeles . they are demanding -- south los angeles. they are demanding police release the names of the officers involved in that shooting. there is tension between the police and the public several cities across the country the justice department is about to announce grants to help departments hire new officers. $119 million in funding will be awarded to 184 agencies to help create 900 positions. atty. general. loretta lynch will announce -- plans in dallas today. let's talk about the forecast. after a rainy sunday desert doppler is all dry.

i'm live in phoenix. it is the season for hiring major retailers announcing their holiday hiring plans. macy's, one of the big retailers, hiring 83,000 people companywide. that is about the same number compared to last year. target is also going to need a lot of people. the company hiring about 70,000 people. us post office just here in people. interviews are starting this month. >> we look forward to getting them every year. we get repeat applicants each year. they learn the system and they seem to like it and keep reapplying. we look forward to them and we especially like the newer people, they know -- we know they will come back in the following years. >> reporter: coming up, we will talk about how much some of these companies pay.

it will still be humid this morning. dew points across western arizona already dropping. that is drier air that is starting to push and. eventually pushes all of the moisture out of here and we will see our dew points dropping through the day in the valley down into the 30s by this afternoon. much drier air heading our way. also cooler air heading our way. pushing in behind that storm system that rolled through yesterday that brought the showers and thunderstorms to the vall y the day. those are storms pushing to the east. cooler, drier air sticking around through the next few days. future cast will show you we will keep the mostly clear skies in our forecast through today and into tomorrow and the following day. mostly clear conditions. across the state things are quieting down. 10% chance of a stray shower or thunderstorm through the white mountains today. also far southeast arizona has a slight chance. we will all clear out storm
