80s. by this afternoon slightly warmer temperatures. in the uppers to around -- upper 80s to around 90. phoenix with a high of 90. the most accurate forecast is tracking warmer temperatures over the next couple of days. moisture is also making a return. that means rain chances are back in the forecast by this weekend. we will talk more about that and the temperatures in a little bit. i want to update latest with hurricane matthew. is now a category four storm with the eye of the storm still east of the miami area and tracking toward the northwest, eventually ride along the east coast of the florida. you can see outside of the eye to the east, still over open water, plenty of rain already moving into florida. pretty soon that category four storm will work its way up the coast. the eye of the storm could clip right by that eastern coast as

into tomorrow. this is a very dangerous storm. we will have more on the track and the impact in a bit. i know folks in florida are preparing and bracing for the worst. >> because matthew is now a category four, more than 2 million people are being urged to evacuate. also breaking right now, we have learned disney world will close at 3 pm today -- actually, 2:00 our time and remain closed through tomorr >> the death toll in haiti because of matthew is now up to 108. officials warning people in florida to take this threat seriously. help is on the way but it is better to get a head start. >> national guard members will make sure those who wait until the last minute to evacuate can do so as safely as possible. don't take a chance somebody will be there to make sure that

guard members have been deployed. this could be one of the worst storms to hit florida. right now in east valley several suspicious fires in chandler. they started in late april with the most recent one happening four days ago. chandler police now have a guy in custody and they think he is connected to all eight fires. we will continue to bring you updates on abc 15 teen mobile and online route the afternoon. we will have live coverage beginning at 4:00. right now phoenix police are searching for involved in an armed robbery near 51st avenue. and osborne. the victim was walking westbound when the suspect approached him and demanded his cell phone. he gave it to them and they took off. the victim was shot at but not hit. police are working on a suspect description. a second armed robbery. the suspects ransacked an apartment at this complex your 24th avenue. and thomas. at least one person was home in

several items were stolen including a tv and laptop. video you will only see here on abc 15. phoenix police making their final arrest in a murder from more than a month ago. officers swarmed 61st avenue. and thomas road and took a man and woman into custody. we're not sure why she was cuffed but you might remember back on september 1 25-year-old mario cho lopp was playing a card game when suspects forced their way in with automatic guns. the victim was shot and the suspects took gun -- guns and drugs. three other people were arrested last friday and are in jail. another crime alerted police hope you can recognize this guy. this is the surveillance video from a goodwill store in chandler. police tell us the man on your screen fired a shot inside that story a week ago today. it happened near ray and alma school. he got away.

startling news photos in arizona and the rest of the southwest. if our temperatures keep going up we could be in for a mega- droughts. researchers just said we can't turn back time if we start to reduce our carbon footprint. if we don't droughts will be far more severe. the good news is right now our drought, we have drought, but it's not as bad as it could be. only 94% of the state in drought conditions. we look forward to the winter time to get snowpack in the forecast today. just a gorgeous day on tap as we look at this time lapse. you can see a few high clouds that we have been watching. they are moving across of the southern portion of the valley. the east valley as well. the high clouds started moving in yesterday evening. we are seeing some of those clouds. no rain to speak of

the cloud cover. that moisture being pulled in from the southwest. we will keep some high clouds streaming into today and tomorrow across southern arizona. eventually we are tracking a disturbance that will develop to the southwest. that disturbance will move into our state by saturday. that will bring some rain chances. in the meantime, today plan on dry conditions across the state. tomorrow also mostly clad -- mostly sunny and dry. late tomorrow night into saturday is when we could start to see fe . rain chances in the valley up to 30% a chance for scattered showers. at least scattered showers in the valley in the morning with a few thunderstorms through the air -- through the afternoon. we will watch for that saturday. early sunday morning a lingering 10% chance of rain early in the day. after that we will dry out and clear up for the rest of sunday. saturday looking to be the day to watch out for scattered

we are getting some pockets of heavy rain within the outer bands. the strongest wind near the core of the storm. watch this track. going into this evening at 5:00 the core of that storm gets closer. there is the potential we could see match eye of the storm make landfall possibly right along the eastern coast of florida. somewhere between fort lauderdale and west palm beach as a category four hurricane. it will track up the coast. the darker red colors are where the strongest wind will extend into florida several miles and even tropical storm force wind in the orange. possibly extending across the entire peninsula. is something we will watch closely. possible landfall by this evening acid tracks up the coast tonight into tomorrow. red cross volunteers are taking action. there pitching in matthew is about to make landfall.

right now it is still producing wind at 140 miles an hour with gusts upwards of 160 miles an hour. it will likely remain a category four hurricane as it works north, northwest and possibly clipping by just east of the florida peninsula or making landfall along the eastern coast. we will watch it closely. here is the deal. not just tonight but into tomorrow still a category four hurricane as it works north and closer to the georgia coast li. it will weekend but could still be a category two hurricane as it impacts the coast of the carolinas. looking ahead into next week some models indicating we could see this system wrap its way around as it weakens to a tropical storm. a lot of uncertainty as to what it is going to do after this weekend. it will be one we will be talking about for several days. we will keep you posted on the latest developments through the
