they knocked they saw the door wasn't locked. it didn't even have a handle. when they looked inside they saw several gun and thought they heard someone. turns out no one was inside. a high speed chase ending with a driver shot and killed by a dps trooper. it all started when troopers tried to stop the guy on the i10 but he took off. and evidently hit several dps cars on the loop 101 before getting out of his car that's when we're told the troopers say they saw him pull a that trooper opened fire killing him. a weekend shooting in phoenix turned deadly. we learned he tide at the hospital. the men were arguing when they opened fire. from the live desk it is looking like at least seven years behind bars for a man who

valley. maheen, court documents show his plan was to plow up a local motor vehicle's office. he was arrested in july. before that could happen at his parent's home in tucson, he's scheduled to be sentenced next month. a trooper getting caught up in a -- it happened overnight -fpt two people were taken to the hospital. then about 15 minutes later a second crash happened involving no word what caused either crash. another above average day with the highs up above average. very warm, 93 today in scotsdale. 93 in dear valley. we had high clouds moving through. of course no rain out there but will make for a beautiful sunset tonight. you can share those weather photos with us, the sunset

we've taken a couple of degrees off those highs right now at phoenix harbor. 92 in scottsdale. so here's the plan. light winds of the valley tonight. mostly clear skies. by 11:00 we'll be down to 80 tomorrow. another warm one, very similar temperatures to what we had out there today. mid-90s back on our forecast. breezes around five to 10 miles per hour. they will be higher across the high country. how strong winds get and could it affect the valley. >> we tracked him but we know a man accused of breaking into a house shot and killed the family dog. cops say he was using one of the stolen credit card the day after. police arrested him over the weekend. this man accused of killing three chihuahua puppies.

a spokesperson saying they're doing all they can with a high amount of online traffic and that things should be running quicker now. police diving a dumpster searching for cars and neighborhoods looking for a missing little girl who is actually just swimming with a friend the entire time. now some pretty tough questions for the person who was supposed to be watching her. scene. >> reporter: just around the corner from that liquor store is where the little girl lives. back this direction, look at that camping world billboard just around the corner from that is where they finally found that girl at another apartment complex. police automatically thought the worse. 8-year-old tim bodack has not been seen since saturday evening. her guardian mom's boyfriend had not seen her for 48 hours

70s during the 7:00 hour and headed up to 95 again tomorrow. light winds in the valley as we look at tomorrow out of that southwesterly direction at 25 miles per hour. in the morning it'll be out of the east-southeast and shifting to the west-southwest. quiet weather with those winds here in the valley tomorrow and sky conditions plenty of sunshine. we will have passing clouds. highs will be in the 90s. above average highs. 91 for us. all of us valley wide will be above we have a disturbance that's going to pass north of the state tonight. it does bring a very slight chance for a few sprinkles or light shower around page, the grand canyon. we see a few storms not looking for anything significant with the rain chances across the high country tonight into tomorrow as the system moves through. however it will bring some breezes north. we stay dry and quiet here in the valley. as you look at the futurecast here's where most of the cloud cover will be as we head into
