tell police who this driver is. he crashed not injuring anyone or any other officers involved in this or drivers. the problem though, now he's gone from the scene. police are still looking for him right now. the tow truck just got easy here and no one was seriously hurt. a 17-year-old is safe at this hour after being rescued from piestewa peak. this is video from early this morning. we are told the seen was feeling fatigued and needed help off the mountain. that was very early this morning. six others were with him an none of them were hurt or injured. those firefighters doing what they do, rescuing people.

officer-involved shooting. >> reporter: we are finding out this morning this guy had a long rap sheet an just got out of prison 10 months ago. you have to imagine he's probably going back after police were forced to open fire on this guy here on van buren street. they got a call about a guy with a gun. when they got here, the suspect had a handgun and was wearing body armor. he was actually hiding behind a ran behind and electrical box. police shot up that electrical box and the electric company just got here to repair that. that suspect was shot multiple times and he is in the hospital expected to survive. . another critical day for sheriff joe arpaio. the justice department is expected to file a criminal charge against the long-time sheriff of maricopa county. katie connor is live in phoenix

mcso headquarters where arpaio spends most of his time. soon he'll head to federal court, where he'll be criminally charged. today we expect him charged for viling court orders in that case and his attorneys say he'll plead not guilty by a court filing, which means there won't be an arrest. his attorneys are hoping for a if convicted, he could spend six months behind bars. as for the upcoming election, he can still run. if he loses, though, the charges still stick. he is saying this is all politically motivated and he's already calling federal prosecutors corrupt and deplorable. back to you. >> sheriff joe arpaio is up for reelection this year. starting today, early voting

. police in garland texas chasing a robbery suspect here, running on a busy highway. unbelievable. he runs across several lanes of traffic before an officer used his stun gun to stop him. cars whizzing by there. he's then handcuffed and placed under arrest. that's just amazing. >> unbelievable. very dangerous. suspect accused of killing two palm springs police officers will face a judge. the man was taken into custody following a 12-hour standoff with police and he could be eligible for the death penalty. the only surviving suspect in the paris attacks no longer has legal representation. the attorneys for salah abdeslam resigned, saying the

jersey. a united airlines plane clipped the wing of a parked plane on the taxi there. nobody was hurt but both of the planes were damaged. another scare for american airlines. the bacteria that causes legionnaires' disease found in the water of four maintenance hangars in texas. at least one worker became sick from this and they are now installing filters on all showers and faucets and providing bottled water to all employees. the source the be an outside water company. more tough news for wells fargo, the bank now being accused of not letting employees take bathroom breaks. the accusations coming out after an exemployee says they were denied the bathroom breaks, one form of intimidation used by managers. he also cites getting harassed,

small offenses. comcast is paying the biggest fine the fcc has ever given. the cable company is accused of charging customers for services and equipment they didn't ask for. the fcc received more than a thousand complaints from customers. comcast will pay $2.3 million as the penalty and will be under the watch of regulators for the next five years. some kids are on but some could be heading for the bus this morning. >> it's not going to be too cold this morning. it's cool with temperatures in the 60s across much of the valley. even phoenix coming in in the 60s, so it's a cooler morning than we have felt the last couple days but certainly not cold out there. very comfortable as you step outside. it will be another warm day and
