now, 71 degrees at phoenix sky harbor. low to mid-60s and we won't have a big warmup. the hourly forecast is coming up in a few minutes. a shooting investigation is underway in phoenix. it seems a man and his girlfriend have conflicting stories about what unfolded. we know a 33-year-old man was shot in the leg near 35th avenue and cactus last night. after he was shot, he went to this home and called 911. no word on who fired the gun. also happening late last night, two people on a motorcycle, one was injured after a crash and neither person was wearing a helmet. the good news, they are expected to survive.

motorcycle hit a truck and the bike burst into flames. they were at 48th street between southern and broadway. the man died at the scene and the woman is still in the hospital and we are told she was in rough shape. a north carolina bombing at the gop over the weekend and now there are major concerns here in the valley. the question this morning, is anything different there due to that scare? be added security here at the headquarters here. but yesterday they got quite a scare. everybody had to just walk out of this building. phoenix police are taking this very seriously. they searched this gop headquarters for two hours looking for that bomb. an employee here got the message that there was a bomb in the building. she said they have been getting a lot of phone calls about candidates, some just some

paige, maybe fair weather clouds in the valley today. nothing that will make the day not sunny. it's nice and clear with not a lot going on. but we are going to see an increase in winds for today, not as windy as it was this past weekend but still windy, gusts up to 15 miles an hour today in the valley, even stronger winds in the northern part keep in mind if you're driving through the high country, those higher profile vehicles can be more at risk for the winds. air quality is moderate today, dust could be a little bit of an issue. pollen is moderate and the uv index is high today, burn times under a half hour. the most accurate forecast for you, a lot of us in the 60s

70. 75 by 9:00, 82 by 11:00, then we'll reach 91 for the high in phoenix and 67 for the overnight low. nice cool comfortable conditions tonight. wednesday we getto 92, kind of a carbon copy of today. thursday we warm up to 96 degree dips down into our atmosphere into our part of arizona. not going to bring us any rain but it will make the winds strong once again. take a look at the weekend, saturday 94 degrees, 93 on sunday, then by monday low 90s with more clouds building in. i think we could see a cooldown next week. in a few minutes we'll take a look at the most accurate running forecast, in case you want to get exercise in before work this morning.
