cars. police right-hand turn sure if it's connected to what happened here. >> reporting live, joe bartel. thanks so much joe. another developing story. this one out of peoria. where sheriff deputies are still searching for a driver who took off after a crash in peoria. now to the most accurate forecast. showers breaking out across the state as we moisture. ahead of the next storm system coming off of the pacific. i'm going to show you what we're tracking. a few stray sprinkles here and there. showers and thunderstorms activity developing to the south have moved into tucson. it's also hitting areas southwest of there. and we have scattered showers right now that we're tracking across northern portions of our state with a few thunderstorms in the mix as well. this is where most of the action is going to stay over the next several hours but here in the valley a slight chance

at 10%. we'll be in the 80s until about 11:00 tonight and going into tomorrow. drier air starts to move in. high pressure starts to rebuild and that's going to send temperatures soaring. we're going to talk about the records that could be in jeopardy coming up in a few minutes. it's monday that includes our presidential candidate donald trump the spending the day in florida. talking about voter fraud what he calls a rigged system and the media. >> the media isn't just against me, they're against all that's really what they're against. they're not against me. they're against what we represent. >> the crowd cheering when trump said he wasn't only going to win florida but the whole election. hillary clinton meanwhile making a campaign swing through battleground new hampshire with elizabeth warren. warren taken aim at trump for this said at the last event. >> get this donald, nasty women

women vote. >> insiders say clinton and her campaign are feeling confident about her path to the white house. they're now focused on helping democrats take on the senate. the abc news tracking poll shows clinton leading 15 to 28%. that 12 point lead nationwide comes on the heel of the third and final debate. a cnnorc poll shows most voters believe clinton looks like plenty of voters in our state have made up their minds. more than 3.3 million ballots have been mailed out. if you haven't gotten an early ballot you can still request one by october 28th. if you're mailing it it has to be returned by november 2nd. neighbors uniting in the north valley taking to the streets tonight. they want the governor to stop sending excons into happy valley. melissa blasius live.

we can see that. >> absolutely. and this movement went from a few concerned neighbors to literally hundreds of families. take a look at them out here protesting now. they say no one can -- before they are moved into an adult reentry center that was once some spend weeks and months for intensive treatment programs or if they're homeless upon release from prison. opponents made signs directed at governor dosey that if he believes that these centers should be built he should have one in their neighborhood. neighbors say they've noticed more crime since the opening of the center. >> we've never had a break-in and we had one in the last two

hospital. no word yet on their condition. and a child died after a dresser fell on her. the parents are not facing any criminal charges. the woman accused of terrorism in arizona pleading not guilty in court today. michelle bastian and her husband plan to set off a bo where he is currently serving time. police say she failed bomb making instructions to her husband. a convicted terrorist in arizona will be sentenced. kareem was found guilty of trying to set a bomb at a drawing contest.

water from flooding in july of 2015. starting tomorrow, the homes will be demolished. this may take a few weeks. homeowners were part of a voluntary buy out. one those properties are cleared out the town will take over and keep that area vacant in case of any more flooding. it was back to school today for students in stafford. seven schools were shut down for weeks following major flooding. just taking a look at the pictures of that reconstruction. one building is still closed. those students will go to school in a different campus. michael vance opening fire on two officers with an ak47. he stole a patrol car. ditched it. carjacked another car. officers found his relatives killed during their search for vance. a second suspect though is in

hauling cattle slammed into a row of cars. that 10-mile back up left drivers stranded for hours. dps is looking into the cause and why that semi driver couldn't stop on time. new details tonight on a deadly crash over the weekend. phoenix police say trisha yatkes was killed when a man drove his car through a red light. the truck slammed into yakas car causing him to hit a truck another woman in serious condition tonight. randall nelson admitted to drinking before that crash. the man accused of molesting a 10-year-old child is off the streets tonight after a mother takes off following a disgusting discovery.

that she found pornographic pictures of her daughter in an sd card. she says she confronted him and he tried to attack her while trying to get the card back. authorities found shell casings in the patio. hunt came clean and said he was mad about the dog. dramatic video from a police ride along that ended in gunfire and a man hunt. a woman out on a ride along with a police officer in mad era li stop turned violent. the dash cam shows the officer trying to pull over a white mazda. when that car takes off and someone inside opens fire shattering the window. a woman inside suffers minor cuts from broken glass. we're tracking a massive rate of undocumented workers in buffalo.

developing tonight, someone killed wild horses. >> some of this video may -- video is sad and you may find it disturbing. >> reporter: detectives believe there may have been two other people with him. animal advocates are just horrified. not only because someone would do this. but because of how brutal this was. >> whoever shot this horse maliciously didn't just shoot to kill. there was at least four or five bullet wounds in him. officials have released this picture of the dead horse. his name kay. all of the horses under attack were just babies. tonight we're learning more about the savagery of this attack. volunteers telling us the killer actually mutilated the dead foal. this happened around 6:00 p.m. last friday. some of the volunteers are so shaken up they were visibly crying. >> it's very heartbreaking. very afraid for our other horses that are out there. >> reporter: animal advocates

created thousands of unauthorized accounts. 5 degrees above normal. not near the record today. but we will be near daily records by the end of the week. and today marked the 20th consecutive day this october at 90 or more. the record is 21 set back in 1991. we're going to tie that tomorrow with another day in the 90s and we'll shatter it by the end of the week. a record that jeopardy is that 21 days for the month or i should say the 29 days for the month of october that was set back in 1952. that's nine consecutive days even if we hit 90 plus for the rest of the month we're only going to make it up to 28. that record will hold tight. 1952. there's the cloud coverage though. it really thickened up this afternoon. we're at 89 degrees now.

humidity at 27%. our dewpoint in the low 50s and winds now at six-miles-per- hour. so light winds and lots of clouds in the evening. we hold on to a 10% shot of a stray shower here and there but again we're not expecting really anything measurable in the valley. temperatures are going to stay in the 80s through 9:00 p.m. it's going to take a while for us to cool down with all of the cloud coverage blanketing the area. we still have one spot in the 90s at this hour. that's glendale at 92. if you look at the numbers across the valley. most of us in the mid- to upper 80s. 75degrees. rain showers rolling in that area. 60 in flagstaff. 66 in show low and low 70s in sedona, prescott, payson and show low. clouds continue to stream in. all of this moisture getting pulled in ahead of this pacific storm system which is not coming our way but it's opening up that flow from the southwest

as we go into tomorrow, the pattern is going to start to change. in the meantime tonight there is a chance of a few stray showers here and there. we did have some activity in tucson and some heavy pockets of rain to the west. across northern arizona, as we look at abc13 doppler, scattered showers up there too. futurecast shows and some of these spots along the rim could see action tomorrow too. but our valley forecast looks much drier tomorrow and more sunshine in that forecast tomorrow as well. here's futurecast the big picture going through the middle of the week. next ridge of high pressure starting to build in. this is what's going to send temperatures soaring once again. by thursday we're going to be in record territory with a high of 97 degrees. one degree shy of that record. let me take you through the next seven days and we'll talk about the changes coming in. we will see a subtle drop in temperatures as we go into friday and saturday.
