southwest city of quedda, terrorists storming killing police trainees, and started a battle to rescue 200 others. more than 88 people were wounded, suffering gunshot wounds, some sustaining injuries after jumping off the roof to escape the attack. the government says between four and six attackers, at least three gunmen approached the training center shooting the guard in the watchtower first, and then entering the training center. two attackers then exploded suicide vests. the counterterrorism operation was long and bloody. video from the scene shows ambulances rushing out of the main entrance and fire engines rushing in. it was the army and the frontier corp. who fought back. these attacks are not rare. this part of pakistan is constantly simmering. an ongoing low level insurgency with separatists and islamist groups launching attacks in the area, but no one has yet claimed responsibility for this one. interesting numbers in hurricane matthew's destruction of haiti.

breaking news from overseas. a deadly terrorist attack in pakistan. at least 48 police trainees were killed when gunmen stormed a training center and detonated their suicide vests. no claims of responsibility yet, but attackers are believed to be islamic militants linked to al qaeda. one attacker was killed by security forces. over in france, demolition crews are set to begin tearing down a refugee camp known as the jungle. nearly 2,000 migrants were bused out of the town yesterday heading to dozens of reception centers elsewhere in the country. once there, they have to apply for asylum. france hopes to completely clear out the camp by the end of the week. iraqi leaders say the fight for mosul is progressing ahead of schedule with isis fighters under attack from three directions. the u.s. is helping with the mission providing air strikes against isis targets, but also ground support to the iraqis. abc's martha raddatz got an up-close look at those american efforts.
