it happened at 11th street and roosevelt. the police telling us it started as a westerly check and that is when police found the guy shot. we're asking to get a better description of the suspects. right now, all we know is that police are looking for two adult guys. police believe that this is an isolated incident over drugs. and while inch sleeping -- while you were sleeping, buckeye place taking several robbery suspects into custody. they're accused of holding people at gun point. the eloy gallegos stole items from the victim and took off. the officers later tracking them down and arresting them. thankfully, that victim was not hurt. and -- from the 202. subject is armed -- . >> we have a -- guys that car following the vehicle from a distance. >> caught on video, a bizarre chase in the east valley last night that shirtless suspect

jumping on several different freeways before heading to in and out and who has time for food during a chase. after he fueled up with the food, the suspect bolted from the truck around ray road and chandler boulevard, ran into the backyard of a home where he eventually gave up. we are waiting to learn the name of the driver. hopefully we'll get that later today. and all right, time now for the most accurate forecast. we had some high clouds drifting in all morning long. filtered sunshine as expected. all is dry across the and instead, the temperatures are warming pretty quickly. we're up to 89 degrees and at phoenix sky harbor. the temperatures above average and we have not hit our high temperature yet. today, get ready for a record- breaking day. our temperature likely claims to 99 degrees. and we still have 10 more degrees to go before topping out at 99. and that will put us 15 degrees above the average and if we hit 99, that would break the record on this date which, is 98

calling on the judge in his racial profiling case to get lost. and a day after the justice department filed criminal contempt of the court charges, they want the judge in his racial profiling case removed or recused and they claim the judge has had off-the-record meetings with the court- appointed monitor in this case. folks in prescott valley shocked to hear about a multistate sex laboring in their neighborhood. two men and a woman are accused prostitution. eight women under the age of 22 were found in a home. one of the victims is 17 years old. the prescott county police and homeland security are involved because the ring allegedly operated in arizona and in california. they're not revealing the names of those arrested. and football players at notre dame prep are hoping the game in casa grande will not be the last of the season. their head coach has been suspended by the school as it

you look carefully, you will see all of the damage there. we actually went out to glendale after the fact to get a look at some of the damage ourselves. the truck was gone. the store was boarded up at that time and no word on when the store will reopen. police in mesa are trying to predict the crime -- trying to predict the crime before it happens. peoria is trying a tactic called predictive policing. mesa is going to do the same thing. they're about to begin with the program putting police in crime they're in the right place at the right time and can deter crime from happen. in downtown phoenix, about to get a big makeover. developers will put $25 million into a remodel of the retail destination. the makeover is expected to add retail and office space and include a hotel. renovations are expected to start next year. and a terrible tragedy on the road when several cars collide in tampa. how other drivers stop to save

. five people killed in a multicar crash involving a fire in tampa this morning. >> and terrible. three adults and two children gone when one car was hit head- on and another car burst into flames. a good samaritan helped pull the kids out of the car. their conditions are unknown now, but the victim's ages range from 9 years old to 39 years old. witnesses said street racing is what caused this and there is

by police. one person killed, 17 others in a six-alarm fire lighting up new york's upper east side. including 8 firefighters. the crews put out the flames, which took hours to put out. the flame started on the top floor and burned through the entire building. two nearby buildings and they were also damaged and traffic in that area was horrible. several streets were shut down. a delta jet getting a soaking at seattle's sea-tac airport. th fire. the flight had to make a u-turn in the air last night after taking watch for hong kong. that emergency light came on, though, and landed safely. no one was hurt. and in casa grande, investigators are trying to figure out what caused a fire on top of a new hospital wing that was under construction there. the black smoke is from the petroleum-based product lining the roof. the fire was quickly extinguished and the seal in the infrastructure kept the flames from spreading.

high clouds, but more of the filtered sunshine across the valley and that is the case of north, too, as we look with our casino live cam near camp verde. you see more of the high clouds and no rain with the sun peaking through a bit on the road. as we look into the north. the high clouds have been drifting in all through the morning across the valley and across the state, but they're not very thick. you're going to notice filtered sunshine through the afternoon. and there is -- they're not thick enough to stop the temperatures from warming up. that is why we have some spot we're seeing the 90s in cave creek and anthem. and a lot of upper 80s and cities that will be in the 90s like chandler, gilbert and maricopa and goodyear. already warming up out there into that lunch hour. and the 90s are setting in across the valley and officially at 89 degrees -- degrees on phoenix sky harbor and into the low to warm 90s by noon and toasty by lunchtime,

watch for the high temperature, the record high temperature by 4 when we hit 99 degrees. that would be a new record high- topping the old record of 98 degrees. so, a very warm day on tap. unseasonably warm and, again, despite the cloud cover that is sticking around, we're in for a warm one. remember, if you're going to be outside, stay hydrated and this is not the summer. we tend to look forward to cooler temperatures. not the case today and certainly important to be safe under the conditions and we're also going to be watching the not because it looks to being a record breaker but it's going to come close to the triple- digit mark. as of now, the latest we have seen is a 100 degrees temperature in phoenix was on october 23rd of 2003, the latest date ever. today, if we hit that, that would set a new record in itself. hopefully we don't. again, we'll watch it through the afternoon. we'll keep you posted as soon as we see the high temperature. and the high pressure is in control over the region. that is what is giving us defeat.

changes. that ridge shifts to the east and we'll see the clouds as the disturbance approaches our state. that is bringing in the moisture. we're not going to see rain from it but we'll see more cloud cover and eventually the temperatures will start to trend down. today, though, as you watch future cast, we're staying dry. high clouds across the state into the afternoon and into the night and tomorrow. plan on more cloud cover. and by tomorrow evening, the rain collapses develop in high country in northern arizona. and here in the valley, it doesn't look like we're going to see enough moisture for rain chances and those clouds will stick around and there might be a sprinkle or two light tomorrow night and into some of our higher terrain as we go into tomorrow night and early on saturday morning. but, rain chances below 10% for the valley. the best potential is up north and then by saturday through the day, we're clearing things up and clearing out the clouds in the valley. we'll keep a 10% chance in the forecast for northern arizona as we go through the weekend

the roadway has been repaired and reopened. and he admitted to having drugs go new christopher is heading to prison the next four years. just last month, he pleaded guilty to possession charges after sheriff's deputies raided his home in april and found more than 250 grams of ecstasy, a meth lab, and counterfeit cash within reach of children. his girlfriend was also arrested. and people a crime alert out of queen creek right now. take a look at this wanted poster. the suspect is accu holding up a taco bell near rittenhouse and he was armed. he took off with an undisclosed amount of money. luckily no one was hurt. and we have a couple of crime alerts to pass to you. first in north central phoenix, this duo is behind bars for stealing patio furniture. they're connected to some 20 cases and stolen property worth thousands of dollars. so, what can you do about it? >> i was worried so i changed my stuff up really quick.

terrified residents running into the streets over 100 after shocks throughout the night. several buildings collapsing in a town of tamarino. rescue teams working around the clock and searching for anyone who may still be trapped. huge boulders blocking roads. this 15th century church caught collapsing into rubble. already weakened by the 6.2 earthquake in late august in the same region that killed daylight brought the first assessments. extensive damage across the picturesque and mountainous terrains. the schools are closed throughout the quake zone and some residents have been moved to shelters. several people suffered from life injuries but so far, officials say, there are no deaths. and residents say because of the deadly august quake 12 miles from here, lives were saved. people were already on the much their hopes when that second much stronger tremor hit.

line. there will be 4500 holiday helpers in stores across the country. apple just released iphone 7 and 7 plus last month and already, there are rumors about 3 new iphone that's could be coming out next year and this is the 10th anniversary of the iphone. and they will have screens between 4.7 and 5 1/2 inches and feature a glass back and they had them on the phone before the iphone 5. and apple is hitting a snag with one of the products. and those air pods are not ready to be released just yet and the company said it needs more time to get them ready for sale. apple would not elaborate as to what the holdup is but we're going to learn more in san francisco today. good morning. joe ducey here and a lot of you may have spent money on the phone. we're hearing about glitches, how about solutions. >> i like it so far. the home button is different

the valley as we see the record high temperatures and today, even if we don't hit record temperatures, we're going to be warm across the valley and look at the high temperatures. upper 90s and everywhere with mesa, gilbert and chandler at 88 and 99 at tempe and 97 in peoria and in spots like good year and again, even that is warm and talking about warm temperatures and really, the state is a warmer day. the low 90s to bullhead city to court second degree and 97 in gila bend and in flagstaff, 70 degrees and that is not bad there and we have the 80s along the rim from kingman to sedona and payson. and tonight, a bit of a mild night. we're going to keep the clouds around and that means the temperatures around the valley 8 drop into the 70s. fortys and 50s across northern arizona for lows and you will notice a lot of low 70s as we kick off friday morning and mainly partly cloudy skies for friday and again, not looking
