across the state this year. 30 since labor day weekend. dna evidence finally helping crack a terrifying sex assault case in phoenix. it has been four years since this attack happened. officers think anthony salazar, accuse of snatching two women off the streets, sexually assaulting them in an alley and setting them free. police say this went down in may 2012 near 19th avenue. and osborne. a dna match all these years later helped bars. officers say he was working with another man to commit these heinous crimes. no word if the other man has been arrested. these guys from phoenix are accused of working together to rob in buckeye man at gunpoint. the two are facing charges this morning. we are told one demanded items from a guy outside his home. they say he even popped off several shots before grabbing stuff and taking off. police tracked down and arrested them both.

let's talk about this hot weather we have been experiencing. >> unusual. i know it's phoenix and the desert but yesterday we hit 100. that's not only the record high temperature for the day with the latest we have ever seen triple digits in the valley. hot yesterday. today still warm. we will stay just below the record. the record is 97. we will stay at 94. temperatures trended down to the weekend. i will show you that in the most accurate forecast. the drive on i-10 is slowing down in the west valley. we just jumped out to a 14 minute desert drive time. this will be i-10 eastbound starting at loop 101. the delays don't start until about 67th avenue. the drive time takes you to the 17. things are looking better the time you hit the 40. i-17 southbound to the i-10
