mcdowel from 44th to 8th. it's unclear for how long. detectives are on scene trying to figure out how this whole thing went down. it happened earlier this morning at the break room bar and grill. the man was shot and killed but also a woman in her 30s was shot in the leg. a man also in his 30s was shot in the back. police are trying to piece this all together. especially what is the relationship people, if there is any, and also if there is a suspect out there or one in custody. those are the questions that we're taking to phoenix police. stay with us on air and online at abc15.com. we will bring you the updates when we get them. 8:00 on the nose right now. it's going to be a busy next few days here in the valley as we brace for a visit from both presidential nominees. in a few hours, donald trump will be speaking to a crowd at the phoenix convention center. on wednesday, hillary clinton will be here.

out where exactly she will be speaking. trump's rally starting at 3:00. thousands are expected to show up, in support and protest. a heads-up if you do go. the group bikers for trump are planning to be there. we are told as many as 300 of them could show up to the rally. meanwhile another bombshell against hillary clinton. the fbi announcing they are looking into new e-mails meaning this case is not necessarily thought. this morning she is calling on the feds to release even more information, saying let's get the info out there. the fbi came across these on a device belonging to anthony weiner, the estranged husband of a clinton top aide who is also being investigated. reaction from both of your candidates. >> it is imperative that the bureau explain this issue in question, whatever it is, without any delay. because right now, your guess

our crews saw at least one person being take known custody. no word if anyone was seriously hurt. abc 15 first on scene at this investigation at 19th avenue and union hills where a woman was j walking and hit by a car. she is in critical condition this morning. the driver stayed on scene. police do not believe drug or alcohol were factors. a bad crash near indian school. you can see all of that debris on the freeway. dps says only one vehicle involved here. the car was speeding, hit a wall. new details about the restraining order that ending up sending leslie merit junior back to jail. the one time freeway shooting suspect. an 18-year-old glendale woman got a restraining order against him. she claims she is pregnant with his child and he has threatened to call her. he called her his property because of the child inside her. that's what the paperwork said. he allegedly violated the

released. we could not reach merit for comment. a scary scene on the i-10 last night. this caused miles of backups. a viewer sent us this video. you see the ladder truck. the man on the overpass. the trying to get him down with the ladder. police were able to negotiate with the guy to get him down and to safety. the man suspected of shooting out of the hospital this morning. he is now behind bars. we just got his mug shot. and we showed you the dash cam video yesterday. he was on a bike when he pulled a gun on the police and started shooting. an officer was grazed by a bull set and then they returned fire. staying in tucson, a teacher arrested this morning and police putting out the mug shot. eddie rodriguez had inappropriate sexual conduct

campus. and the investigation isn't over. police say they are looking for other perspective victims. you have probably seen this crazy video out of chick go. just incredible. the ntsb investigating this unclesly here. they say that the american airlines flight experienced a rare and furious engine failure. that happens when parts break off and are spewed outside of the engine. a lot of people try to get out. at least 21 people were treated, mostly for smoke inhalation. according to the owner of this bar, it might have been a huge misunderstanding. a neighboring business called police saying they saw a guy with a gun run inside. now, police surrounded the place. they used a loud speaker, shouted more than a dozen times informer this guy to come out. it turns out he was a regular,

the votes of minorities, making it a crime to collect early ballots and return them to the polls. so for now the law stands. no word if there are any plans to appeal this to the u.s. supreme court. is it shaming or is it social pressure. is there a difference. many questioning the latest flyer from the republican party in arizona. it compares the turnout of voters to neighbors attached to the voter history and they can see yours. >> pressure is a good thing. we also call it encouragement for people to get their ballots and vote. >> democrats also used a similar flyer. the only difference, it doesn't list neighbors by name. the gop says the same flyer had a positive effect two years ago. this morning the voting machines around the valley are making the grade.

bullhead city, 70. 74 in lake havasu. let's look at your forecast for today. warm. 94 degrees for us here. we talked about the winds. they won't be too bad for us today. just light breezes. your uv index will be at a 6. that's in the high category of we don't have any storm chances in the forecast for today. we're going to be pretty dry. here is a look at the temperature breakdown for us on this saturday here. you see we will be in the 80s flirting with 90 by 1:00. hanging into the mid-90s by 3:00. by 9:00 p.m. expecting temperatures in the upper 70s. could be in the 80s in some spots of the valley. your futurecast looks like this. we will see clouds today. so we will keep things mostly clear. even though we will see a few

you see a lot of that pushes up north. and tomorrow morning, we're expecting things to be pretty clear as we stop this around 10:00. clouds will build again throughout the day. we will see some of those clouds around the state by tomorrow evening. for us here in the valley, now, i wanted to show new for perspective. the average is 83 degrees. that sounds nice. but we will be 10 degrees above that in some spots today. we will hills today. 92 in scottsdale. 93 in peoria. 93 in goodyear. buckeye topping out the 93 under mostly clear skies. across the state, it will be warmer all the way around. look at the temperatures up north. 83 in sedona. upper 60s in the grand canyon. if you haven't gone yet, you don't like it too cold, it will be nice right now. out to the west, we will keep
