morning after the wonderful rain we got yesterday. we will check on that in just a second. for is some news from coast to coast this morning. we are learning a so called monster accused of holding a moment captain in south carolina has a pretty dark past. todd is a realtor in south carolina and a registered sex offender. after a ki case he got on the list and court records reveal when he was 16 he held a gun to his 14- year-old neighbor's head and tied her up and rape her. the records also mention he would finally hit children. he even shot a dog and admitted he often thought of hurting people and had a fascination with guns. investigators in south carolina are still looking for the victim 's boyfriend another possible bodies on the property.

guests are returning to their rooms at the paris las vegas hotel. there was an unexpected outage late last night forcing evacuations for thousands of people. the hotel is going as far as booking the rooms for guests at the rooms of competitors. they are blaming the outage on the fire compression system. was sent to this. we can learn more about a disturbing investigation into several oakland police officers. they ar exploiting the daughter of a dispatcher. the 19-year-old women says all of this happened she was working as a prostitute. she said some of the sexual activity happened before she turned 18 and she is now suing several departments and two dozen officers involved in those sexual escapades. meanwhile, i want to see

cave creek. and a few showers too especially along the foothills and most of the phoenix metro looking dry. i do think most of us will stay dry through the morning commute but there is a 10% chance of a stray shower or thunderstorm and the best potential for that will be across the far east valley. we are already seeing some of those spotty showers east of goldfield. they could work their way north impacting apache junction and apache hills. from young over to payson it is moving to the northwest so plaxo is looking like a wet morning commute as these places work in. this is something i will keep watching but keep that in mind. today that storm system that brought the rain yesterday will

it will take the best rain potential further up to the northeast so the northeast pocket other state has the best shot at more showers and storms today. but we could see a stray shower here in the valley this morning and possibly a few showers moving into the valley this afternoon. that is why i am keeping that lingering chance of rain in the forecast. the best potential will be across northeast arizona into this afternoon saturday we are starting to dry things out across the state. that 10% chance in the forecast could bumped -- bump up a bit into the early evening. i think after 7:00 those rain chances coming out of the forecast and we really dry things out. it is dried this weekend but just a slight chance of a shower across the higher terrain but otherwise plan on mostly sunny skies and warming temperatures.
