we had some thicker clouds across the north valley looking north over camelback mountain with mostly sunny conditions across the valley now. said earlier rain mainly was east of the valley and did not quite make it into many of our valley cities except for apache junks and and gilbert got apache junks and -- kuchen apache junction and gilbert. out to continue to see these showers and storms through the morning. moving from southeast to the northwest they are tracking across the terrain and they will continue to develop in these areas as we go into this afternoon. show low still has a chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms. we are seeing some of these thunderstorms producing heavier pockets of rain. there is a chance in flagstaff

storms into this afternoon. the valley is starting the process of drying out. the better rain chances are going to shift northeast of the phoenix metro through today because the storm system that brought the rain yesterday is starting to make its way to the northeast taking the potential for rain along the mogollon rim. we dry out tonight and as we head into the weekend that st the east with the dry conditions on top across the state through the weekend. as you look at futurecast with me the storms will still be across that northeast pocket of our state. there is a slight chance we could see a shower work its way into the valley this afternoon, but those chances are of 10% through the early evening. tonight we start to dry out and tomorrow is a slight chance of a few pockets across the higher terrain.

we do have some lingering clouds across the north portions of the valley. but we have been dry pretty much over the phoenix metro. apache junction got some light showers earlier this morning but now all is dry despite the clouds still lingering. we also have some clouds north of the valley and this is the cliff castle casino cam. you can see the clouds thicker over the i-17. this area is an area we will be watching. basically over the higher terrain east and northeast of the phoenix area is where we will see the best potential. we even have a severe thunderstorm just north of stafford solely tracking to the northwest. it is in effect for another 10 minutes as it moves from the southeast to the northwest.

producing some quarter-sized hail chick and winds also some pockets of heavy rain seesaw the flood advisory in the green polygon just been issued for the storm as it continues to move north and tracking further north over the higher terrain. the most active spots will be the higher terrain and white mountains into this afternoon with just a shower here in the valley. i think after 6:00 we will clear out those rain chances and it will be dryer tonight. in the high country the 50% chance of rain today and tomorrow starting to dry out of north dryer also into sunday with dry weather heading our way into next week. temperature wise it has been gorgeous this morning and it has been very slow to warm.

in the 60s like chandler in maricopa. 72 right now and ahwatukee. it is cooler in the east valley versus the west valley because we started with rain out in the east as opposed to the west valley. into the afternoon we will all gradually warm into the 80s eventually across much of the valley with phoenix topping out at 82 degrees. and a few spots will only make it into otherwise, fountain hills his 80 degrees with 81 in goodyear. as you look across the state temperatures are in the 50s and 60s across northern arizona and mid to upper 80s out west. overnight tonight it will be chilly of north and 50s in kingman and lows to the 40s in show low. here in the valley we will see those lows drop to the 60s by
