will be the strongest next. let's give you a check on the roads right now. we do have a crash out in the east valley. it's just off of the 202. right at that interchange as you're trying to get on and off throughout the freeway. we'll give you a closer look at i-10 out in the west valley next. phoenix police involved in a standoff over night we on the scene. several neighbors waking up to the sounds of them speaking into one of those megahorns. police were trying to use those loud speakers to communicate. they also called in a k-9-unit. it's not yet known who the person is or why police wanted to talk to them in the first place but that's what's

democratic challenger ann kerrpatrick has really lamered him on. of course we've reported that those premiums here in arizona are going to skyrocket some 116%. when i sat down with congresswoman kirkpatrick she told me she would work with legislators. now it really is up to all across arizona to decide who they want to see in office. those polls open less than an hour. we're taking a close are look at security concerns across the valley. >> thanks nick. two propositions you will see on the ballot today. they have to do with marijuana and wages. there's a push to raise minimum wage in our state to $12 an hour by the year 2020. also you're going to be voting

legalize recreational marijuana. if passed our state would allow anyone to possess up to an ounce of marijuana. it would eliminate black markets and raise money for k-12 schools. of course as we've been mentioning all morning the polls open at 6:00. back and of voter harvesting. abc15's katie connor. >> well it's now legal dan to go out and collect a ton of ballots. employees here can't turn those ballots away legally. about 18 hours over the weekend it was legal to collect people's ballots and then turn them in.

the u.s. supreme court reinstated the law making it once again a felony. there's a bigger problem with this law. >> there's not really anything in the law that talks about the enforcement. it just says that it's a felony. >> and the county attorney says he will investigate any complaints of of voter harvesting submitted by law enforcement. they tell me that this law is very difficult to because once the ballots are dropped off at a center like this it's really difficult to do any further investigating how they actually got here in the first place. dan. >> katie connor i guess the safe bet is take it yourself and drop it it off. >> one question that you might have is how do you know that your vote will actually be counted. well the justice department identified 607 spots including ours where they belief an extra

going to notice some high clouds moving in especially across central phoenix in the east valley. those clouds building in over the last few hours. but we're not seeing any rain. it's going to be a dry morning but you'll notice those clouds sticking around through the morning before we get clearing skies. and then we'll see mostly sunny conditions through the day today. passing clouds to start the day. temperatures down to the 60s and 70s across much of the if you are heading out to the polls soon know that temperatures will be a bit cool as we start the day. but then we'll start to gradually warm and it will be tywarmer day today than even yesterday. so we're up to 75 by 10:00 a.m. then the low 80s by lunchtime. gusts near 25 miles an hour and today's high 89 degrees. that puts us two degrees high of the record high temperature.
