campus. high school students from 6 schools left class to march to the capital. phoenix union high school district think adults helped ignite the school walkout. we asked the students about that and they disputed it. >> this wasn't an adult using you? >> it's teenagers, we want our voices heard. we don't think this is correct. we are all from immigrant relatives our parents. >> someone with the advocacy group they did help plan the walkout. the protests or the students idea. an abc 15 exclusive. social media threats against police and trump supporters. valley man was questioned overnight after people sound the alarm concerning some tweets. one saying let me know where the riots are phoenix. trying to kill at least 4 cops and 20 old white people. know what people -- no word on arrest.

it shaping up to be a beautiful morning. clear skies and another morning where our temperatures are gradually warming. we are in the low to mid-70s. 73 in mesa. 75 chandler and your valley. lendale checking in higher at 77. but something else to note and you probably have felt them, those breezes. picking up through the morning. running between 5 and 15mph. a few stronger wind gusts near 25mph. those breezes will stay elevated at least through mid afternoon. he will continue to feel easy conditions through mid afternoon for the winds back off. most accurate forecast, the cooler day with highs in the low 80s. will look ahead at the weekend and if you're going to the asu game we have a forecast for that.

the election and the maricopa county recorder's office is still tallying votes. they are back to counting remaining ballots. we have more from the recorder's office on just how many are still left to go. back were talking about more than 400,000 early and provisional ballots being counted right now. inside the elections office. as much as many of us want this to be over, the processing and counting of ballots is expected to continue for days. she's in charge of counting the ballots and she says the delays is normal but saying this whole thing is unacceptable. >> i would've had the office working through the entire weekend. there is no reason why those ballots shouldn't of been counted. >> we feel we have done a good job over the past 28 years. and i still feel that way. >> reporter: the office is expected to update the results every day at 5 pm until the job is done. we are told it could be done as early as tomorrow. reporting from phoenix.

going to go to the white house for a press briefing regarding the meeting between obama and trump. can you tell us if there's anything specific the president- elect trump told the president about how he plans to govern the country? >> had an opportunity to visit briefly with president obama about the meeting. there are many details that they will keep between the 2 of them. a couple of things i can share with you, the president indicated that they had an opportunity to discuss foreign policy and the mystic issues. some of those a foreign-policy issues came up in the context of the president's upcoming trip overseas. the president described to president-elect some of the

with some of our allies and partners. it was an opportunity for them to talk about the issues. in advance of the president's trip in the conversations he expects to have. there also was an opportunity for the 2 leaders to talk about staffing and organizing the white house. that is complicated business. any white house is expected to be structured in a way with multiple challenges or multiple crises at the same time. the president-elect indicated a lot of interest in understanding the strategy of organizing and staffing a white house. that is something obama has thought about extensively. they spent a large portion of the meeting discussing the importance of properly staffing

blue skies as we take a live look with our felix valley can. butchers gradually -- phoenix valley can. temperatures gradually warming. are valley can is pointed toward maricopa. this is an area where we have seen blowing dust. because of the strong winds. not seeing anything too bad that it will still be key to watch for pockets of blowing dust. in spots south of the valley near solar open or the typical spots. if you are familiar with the area you know their spots where we tend to get dust channels. the wind still elevated at this hour. that could certainly happen again we see dust get kicked up . it's important to keep in mind if you traveling down to tucson. we have those breezes around the valley coming in between 10- 20mph across the phoenix area. sustained it 18 miles per hour out of the east in scottsdale out of the east.

east at 17mph. breezy and on top of that we have dust that have been gusting at times between 20 and 25mph. the strongest wind gusts recorded in scottsdale. near 30mph. as we go through the next few hours the breezes are sticking around. will stay breezy in the valley and across southeast arizona. we're getting breezes along the rim. the strongest so far down into some. we over the next few hours it's going to stay breezy. by mid afternoon and evening the winds back off but through the next few hours in case you're going out to grab lunch it will be breezy with gusts in the valley between 20-25mph and stronger across southeast arizona. as we go to the mid afternoon. the windsor kicking up because we have a storm system sitting
