valley neighborhoods targeted for the street shooter. something to be a little concerned about. abc15's katie conner is tracking the story for us. any leads in this one? >> reporter: fortunately police do have some leads over the weekend 20 people called after their car window was shot out. you can actually see the damage from a few of the cases. jonah vmas out that showed the car come back around and shoot out of the car. these cases took place during different times of the day but all in the northwest part of the valley. fortunately, no one was hurt but the street shooter has already targeted make it cars before. he shot at a man waiting off a stop sign and right now the investigation is unfolding.

a horrible crash has slipped two people dead and those who were killed may not have seen this guy coming he was going so fast. it is just off 35th avenue. that is where allison rodriguez is for us right now. what is the latest? >> reporter: chris, typically we can be closer to these types of crashes but look at far back

the perspective on how severe this impact was with investigators swarming the area now. they were going so fast that neighbors heard the whole thing. they sent us some video of the vehicles involved. two are dead and police are telling us this morning two men driving in a white bmw came speeding down 35th avenue plowing right into a small honda civic. there is debris for hundreds of feet. the officer telling me about 1000 feet because the impact was so bad. the two men in the honda were killed. the sound of the crash was so loud it startled neighbors here. >> i was doing laundry here and i heard a really loud bang.

phoenix police say it will be quite some time for the area to be shut down. this is affecting the light rail. in the next couple of hours it will be shut down throughout the morning and you have to take it bus to get around this area. as far as the road here at the 19th avenue, it is closed and mallory is standing by how to get around it. south of dunlop is where you will see this says seventh avenue is your best option. you would think the 17 would look worse, but it is not doing too bad. i will give you a quick look from our adot camera. loop 101 eastbound near 19th avenue is heavy here. the moon is getting ready to such to the west and if you are checking out either of

valley woman hit and killed. she was walking across the street with her children and her family is now asking you for help. nick ciletti is live. tragedy does not begin to describe, right? >> reporter: absolutely. this is at the memorial that continues to grow in chandler. the young mother taken too soon . she went out for a casual stroll with her kids, and ended in tragedy. they are told the victim in this case is 35 year-old pamela hessel bacher. these are photos from the family 's gofundme page. it looks like so far they have raised $2800. chandler police tell us pamela was walking with her children saturday night when the suspect came and ran a red light.
