any rain or even snow for the higher terrain. a very very slight chance for the northern portion of our state. a dry system for us. the cold front with it is going to be powerful and send temperatures down. plummeting into the upper 60s to low 70s across the valley by thursday. phoenix from 89 to 85 on wednesday, 71 on thursday, and still in the 70s fridays before we start to see the temperatures back in the # 0s through the -- 80s through the tomorrow generally light winds but starting wednesday afternoon they pick up in the high country and by wednesday evening and thursday gusts here about 25 miles per hour. gusts across northern arizona aktd 35 miles per hour -- about 35 miles per hour. into the 80s at lunchtime and nearing that record of 90 in phoenix. mesa 87. chandler and queen creek also at 87.
