get them but let's talk about the weather. >> gorgeous start this morning. mostly sunny skies. it was a cool start in the 50s. now we're warming up under these sunny conditions. 75 right now. winds at 5 miles per hour. mesa at 75 right now. we'll be up to 89 this afternoon in fact putting us just one degree shy of a record that was set back in 1999. we'll be watching that closely. we'll still have those 80s out there and phoenix not the only one on record watch today. the record 70. record in tuscan 89. forecasted high of 88. we'll have more on this forecast and some huge changes. i'll let you know what this can happen coming up.

attacking a homeless woman. he faces kidnapping sexual assault. surveillance video joe shows a woman carrying a woman out of a bar in scottsdale. he then took her home and raped her over and over again. he is expected back in court in december. police and dps trying to figure out what caused this crash. not many details right here. but we do know that there were injuries. that crash some traffic delays. and another crash along 67th avenue. this one involving a motorcycle. we were there as rescue crews. they were working on that rider right there right in the middle of the intersection. it looks like that motorcycle did slam right into the side of that car. and while you were sleeping crews were working to get the driver out of this damaged suv. we're told it slammed into a poll on 19th avenue.

trying to figure out exactly how this happened. we're working to find out if that driver had any serious injuries. and the smoke is still lingering up north. it went up in flames near sedona. the i-17 route remains closed in the northbound lanes. new from overnight a case involving a kingman woman is being reviewed after officers say she released her pit bull on an officer two different police responded to some kind of disturbance there. the officer says as he walked up to the home the woman warned him about the dog. the officer bitten on the arm. also from overnight a fight in surprise leaves a teenager with stab wounds. this one happened near boldered avenue near cactus. parents of the 17-year-old

assaulted. the one who was stabbed is expected to be okay. now to a crime alert first on abc15 car windows shot out in several west valley neighborhoods. the investigation now growing. the first case reported last week. we are now told more than 20 car windows have been shot out in recent days in north phoenix and in glendale. surveillance video caught the suspect's car on camera. with stock rims if you car call police. tough on drugs then but what about now? only on abc15 we are revealing a new side of a former county attorney. our cameras caught up with rick romly right after he finished going to bat for his cousin. from 1989-2004 and during that time he took on several high profile cases and now his cousin is convicted of making and dealing spice. >> were you thinking about the

winds willing gusting to 205 miles an hour and hanging on through thursday. the high country and even northeastern arizona. that's where we could have some gusts reaching 40 miles per hour with those sustained winds. as you look at the water vapor. here's where we have moisture aloft. huge storm system off to the northwest drawing some clouds into southern california. that's keeping things sunny for this ridge shifts off to the east. taking that warm nice weather over into parts of texas. we turn our attention to the storm system that is off to the north and northwest right now. it kicks a cold front here as we go through wednesday. it's not going to be a huge rain or snow maker for the state of arizona. it is going to be bringing not only those winds but much cooler high temperatures and cold overnight low temperatures for some high country locations.
