sky 7 hd is live over a brush fire that just broke out in livermore. crews are battling that at south limb road near 580. >> the fire broke out just before 10:30 this morning and firefiters estited it burned about 10 acres so far. you can see some of the charred areas smolders. that's where the windmills are. you can see the fires by that windmill farm at the altamont pass. >> you can see the wind blowing the smoke as well. we know no hom have been threatened. no word yet how it started. a helicopternd plane have been helping put that fire out from the air. >> we'll continue to follow this and bring you updates throughout

>> tips from the public have helped them identify a man suspected of stabbing a dog several times last week they're not yet release willing the suspect's names but they have contacted his attorney. they say the man could be arrest as soon as today. authorities are trying to determine the appropriate charges. the attack happened la thursday after lenny, an american bulldog, and the suspect's pitbull began behaving aggressively toward each other. that's when th suspect stabbed lenny four times. other dog owners used the park say the attack is stunning. >> all the dogs run off leash. all the dogs are well-behaved. if your dog is not, you usual know not to come here. >> the stabbed dog is recovering at home after surry to remove his spleen. the dog is expected to make a full recovery. >> sad news today regarding a los angeles bay area television and radio anchor, did mcel hatten has died.
