s ♪ we begin with developing news in berkeley where two people have been shot. sky 7 hd is over the scene right now. >> police are hunt for at least one suspect. that happened on sacramento street. sacramento was closed between arby and russell. from berkeley with the latest. >> well, cheryl, police actually just confirmed for us that one of those two men has died at the hospital receny. this is a very busy section of sacramto street. we're just a couple blocks away from arby avenue. you can see the street is still shut down and detectives are out here. when the shooting happened,

there were a number of peopl walking, talki their kids to school. there's a laundromat and detectives appeared to be inside a if you minus ago talking to potential witnesses. police aren't saying how many shots were fired but homicide detectiv circled at least half a dozen bullet holes. theyeceived a number of 9-1-1 calls after the shooting. one said there was a man down. officers got here and found two male victims lying on the sidewalk. both had been shot, both tak to a local hospital where one of the men has now died it is what the motive may be police don't know but they're sang it was not a drive-by. >> this is quite unusual for this community. so early in the morning. particularly concerning that there were community members going to school, work. >> now, as for the suspects, police are lookg for one, possibly two men. they ran away after the shooting

through the parking lot of the laundromat. police are searching for witnesses. there were a number of people out here on sacramento street at the time of the shooting. with all of the businesses detectives are hoping they may surveillance video they they plan to collect lat this afternoon. cecilia vega, abc 7 news. >> thank you. in other news a new report shows pg&e uncovered dozens of pipeline leaks in an inspection ordered by t state following last month's deadly explosion and fire. this morning jackie spear is meeting with other leaders to discuss those findings. terry mcswney is live in san mateo coun with more. hi, terry. >> hell to you. the congress woman is meeting across the street in her office on el camino rea and 4th avenue. many meeting not only wit elected officials from san mateo county but also with pg&e officials is going much longer than anticipated. that may mean something, maybe

not. we don't know. but we know why it was called in the physical place, the congresswoman saying the urgency is obvious. the meeting chaired by spear and local officials follows a report from pg& that their crews found 38 gas leaks during inspections of their 2500 mile long gas pipe system. four were high pressu lines, the kind that blew in san bruno killing eight and destroyin dozens of homes. 38 leaks is not an alarming number of leaks. >> that's a frly normal outcome with that. we have thousands of miles of transmission lines, many more thousa miles of distributio lines and we test them on an ongoing basis. the representive has specific concerns. a representative from uth san francisco wants to know when the utility will replac the pipeline running right through virtually every neiborhood in that city. >> my bigge issue is if that pipeline was in a high-risk list threyears ago, what happens to remove it if it's still high

afternn. jess macy has a history of violence. investigators say heilled donna gross of concord. an autopsy just revealed gross was strangled. she worked in the forens unit. it houses the mo violent patients. several employees say safety has been an issue at the hospital for years. administrators say they can't talk about the case because of employee confidentiality but they are hosting a meeting tomorrow morning to talk about security. >> a state-wide amber alert issued for a 13-year-old girl abducted from san bruno no county. she was taken from her home early sunday more by a 22-year-old man who her father says made friends with the girl over the internet. she 5-3, 120 pounds and brown hair and brown eyes.
