>> terry, thanks very much. a million dollar warehouse fire in san carlos destroyed decades of memorabilia of neil young this morning. trying to figure out why it started inside the warehouse. some of that was saved, wasn't it? >> actually, cheryl, a majority of the memorabilia was saved even though it took those firefighters about an hour to put out th fire. we'll show you where it all began at the front that's charred there. what was lt included not only memorabilia but music gear, cars and more. what was sav is being hauled out to anher warehouse nearby. on the exterior it seemed like an average though unfortunate early morning building fire but thenir fhters found out more about what they were trying to save inside this san carlos warehouse. >> we were given information by the business owner that the

to eavesdropping on a group opposed to smart meter. william devereaux joined a group last week using the name ralph telling them he wanted to learn more about smart meter and try to help. a woman noticed his in-mail account actually belonged to devereaux, a pg&e executive who she had previousl met. he said recently i attempt to join a discussion group without revealing my role wi the smart meter program as i should have and i apologize for that. devereaux said his only intent was to improve communi outreach for the smart meter program. no word pg&e plans to take any disciplinary action. >> local transportation officials say it's time to consider whether the bay area needs another bridge. the toll authority wilconsider spending $400,000 to study the

possibily of connecting the east b to the peninsula. the idea of a mid-bayrossing between san brun and the peninsula was dismissed back in 2002 after a two-year study. that found a new bridge or second trans bay tube would be too expensive. they say things have changed enough to consider another option. >> a new government report says job openings dropped for a second saight month. hiring is likely to remain weak over the next several months. employers advertised nearly 3 million jobs at the end of september. that's a drop of 163,000 jobs from the previous month. this after at latest jobs report found employers added 151,000 jobs in october, the most in five months. the nation unemployment rate is 9.6% still. california's is higher at 12.4%. >> we do have some encouraging
