getting the famous delicacy on your thanksgiving day table. >> terry with more. >> certainly a legitimate concern for consumers. these are the crabbers wondering when they can make a living. don't judge a crabby its shell. these were caught off the san francisco coast and this batch, one fromalf moon bay, and the other from bodega, are sent to a processi plant in santa rosa. there they will be cooked and opened to see if there's enough mussel inside those shell or if they need time to muscle up. >> it takes a little while for the shells to fill full of meat and we don't want to fish on a crab until they're the finest most luscious crab that you can eat until they take their final hot tub. >> the season coulbe delayed a

day or a few weeks. all results on the meat of the crab. any delay is a hit in the pocketbook. >> we have no her income anymore. our salmon season's gone so we all depend on this crab fishing. we know the crabs are really, really nice out there so probably a day or two we'll be fishing. >> the lack of local crab is a big disappointment for the customers but not a back breaker. >> it could have an impact where it keeps people away from the area. yes. will it impact our business? not so much. we'rgoing to do what we do best. >> for mike and jill from canada, last night's dinner was a most disappointing occasion. >> saw a menu that said dungeness crab from van cover, british columbia. i wouldn't want to come here for crab from back up in canada. >> what i heard from the crabbers and restaurant owners is what california needs to level out when the harvest of the crabs is made. to stretch out theeason so you

have fresh crab coming in. they need a law limiting the number of crab pots a boat can bring ou to do the crabbing. govern schwarzenegger twice vetoed a bill. they're hoping governor brown is a different story. >> terry, thanks very much. alameda county police in newark need your help catching armed gunmen that reached a new low in crime. they forced their way into a chuck e. cheese friday night. they forced 40 people into a storeroom. >> cheryl, wt was supposed to be a fun night has turned into a horrifying nightmare while parents and children were eating pizza and playing games. three masked gunmen robbed the place. police have no suspects and very few leads. this whole thing unfolded saturday night just befo 10 p.m. at this chuck e. cheese

about one hour before closing time. thre masked gunmen put everyone into a storeroom. from inside, parents and employees called 9-1-1 to report the robbery in progress and stayed on the phone with dispatchers while police officers surrounded the place. they had no idea if the gunmen were still inside the restaurant since they were placed inside that storeroom. when police finally went into chuck e. chse they realized the suspect had already taken off. they can't believe a robbery happened to such a friendly family place. >> i have two boys. we used to go over there once in a while. but now, kind of -- i mean, when people just get in and have no respect r kids, you have to really think about it. >> at this point there is some surveillance video that investigators are looking at for the quality of it. at this point we're trying to enhance that vdeo or find somebody that can do that enhancement for us.

obviously looking for anything of evintiary value. >> police say the quality of that surveillance video is not very good but they're hoping after enhancing it they could get at least a license plate number of the susct vehicle. during the robbery nearby chevy's restaurant went into lockdown. employees and customers we told to stay inside until the area was secured. fortunately no one was hurt and police are not saying what, if anything, was taken inside this check e. cheese's. if you know anying, call warwick police. >> san fraisco police are trying to find a motive for a stabbing attack on a cable car operator. he remains in critical condition. it took place near chinatn on the powell mason line. nobody else was on board. the operator was stabbed multiple times. they followed a trail of blood from the scene to the suspect's home. there police found and arrested

32-year-old george wong for attempted murder. three ofhe suspects' relatives were arrested on chars of interfing with officers. the antioch man accused of bringing the westbound bay bridge commute to a standstill last trsday pleaded not guilty in court this morning. a judge set bail for craig carlos valentino. he resisted arrest, kidnapping andhild endangerment. the chp says he threatened to kill himself and blow up the bay bridge because of marital problems. he had his teen daughter with him but she escaped during the standoff. >> an early morning chase ended in a messy crash involving a police car. the suspect was dring a stol car out of san leandro. he crashed into a stop sign and that's what started the chase. during the chase the suspect hit a street line, then crashed along the side of the road.

the police car also crashed into a barrier but the officer was not hurt. >> looked up and saw the car that hit the traffic signal a block away at bay vista. as the car passed them, they chased it. the driver fled. they chased him through downtown tiburon back out through tiburon boulevard almost the same location where he lost control of his car. >> police believe today suspect may be responsible for an incident last monday. it started with stolen car chase in belvedere before ending in tiburon where the suspect ran out of one stolen car before stealing another. >> facebook.com, the world's biggest social net working website is about to become the world's biggest e-mail prider as well. the found and ceo announced that that site would now offer its 500,000 active users ace new facebookom.com e-mail address. he unveiled the product in san francisco this morning saying he wanted to make e-mail more social.

a 13 year sold central valley boy told not to fly an american flag on his bike got an unusual ride to school this morning. cody rode with dozens of veterans, some from out of state,' as he went to the middle school and they all carried american flags on their bikes to show support. last week he was told he should not put the stars and stripes on his bike because some students were offended. they have since apologized. >> here's e bottom line. i'm the superintendent in their unified school district. this shouldn't have happened. >> they said some students were complaining and it was veterans week so i was kind of confused. i mean, flying your country's flag to support veterans and on veterans week they told me i couldn'tly it. >> well, cody says he pull put the flag on his bike a couple months ago and never had a problem until recently.
