♪ this is frightening. and it's always black pele harming each other. why? >> bulle straight into their home. one family's frightening ordeal last night results in a massi police raid this morning in east oakland. >> six people were shot earlier this week. terry mcsweeney is live at oakland police headquaers with the latest terry? >> yeah, police are being somewhat coy about whether this case will be tied, may be tied to the shooting earlier this week. this much we know for a fact. a family of six had their house shot up and had the father instead of being on the carpet playing with his two-year-old and standing up playing with that two-year-old we may have

two more casualties. they served a search warrant on e. street, a block from the area where six people wer shot. >> is this part of the shooting of six people this week? >> not that we know of. we're investigating violence and gun possession but don't have anything specifically to tie it to it. >> this is crazy. i don't deserve this. i don't even know why people act like this. always innocent bystanders. my son could have been a statistics last night. >> it began a half block away when bullets ripped through the walls of la tanya's house. her fiancee was on the floor playin with their two-year-old son jaden. she did not want to appear on camera. >> i started seeing dust particles fly. i said somebody's shootin'. i laid on top of him. if i wouldave been standing up, it would have been me. >> you would have been killed? >> i think so. >> the family's s.u.v. was also

hit by bullets. one went through the head rest on the passengeside but tanya said police removed some evidence but didn't get it all. >> there was a bullet lodged in there. there was another buet lodged in the front wall. i don't know where the third bullet -- >> down the street where the raid took place, police removed one rifle and then another. two people were arrested and police say more arrests are expected. la tanya and family spent part of the morning on crailist looking for some other neighborhood to live. >> police are still out at the scene of th shooting. they're still in that house working on that sear warrant. they've come out with the two rifles they saw. also came out with some narcotics. more tonight on abc 7 news at 5:00 and 6:00. >> terry, thanks very much. the city of san jose is trying to shut down a popular nightclub in the downtown area blaming it on too many drunken brawls that sent people to the hospital. the most recent incident made

the city determined to end the problem. >> cheryl, that lates incident happen on new year's eve just this past week. police say a woman was sent to the hospital aft she was waiting in line in the bathrm and a group of girls pushed her, punched her and then stomped on her face with a stiletto hee causing her to get stitches in her cheek. the club says it was just a cat fight but the city says enough is enough and it wants to turn out the lights for good at club wet. (screaming) >> this is video of one of the drunken brawls at wet nightcb in september 2009 posted on youtube.com. you ca hear people cheering, bottles breaking as the club security tries to break up the fight from the dance floor. you can see a secury guard trying to use a stun gun. the whole thing only lasted about three and a half minutes and no one walls hurt or arrested. but earlier that sam year, there was another fight at the club that left five people with stab wounds. >> when it comes to club

management, we've seen better organized riots than wha we see at club west. >> sam says the problem is club managent turning a blind eye to the violence. >> the reality is we have ma well-managed clubs and bars and then you share the downtown. a lot of very respo owners who work collaboratively with the police, want to avoid problems and keep the downtown safe. we have one of the safest downtowns in the country as a result. >> this is not the first city to try to shut down a nightclub. sued in san francisco closed its doors after heavy pressure from the city following a gang-rated shotout. a restaurant terminated the lease on pier 50 after a couple shootings in recent years. wet nightclub says it has worke with the city to make sure the place is safe and weekly, uniformed and undercover police officers walk through the club at night and haven't reported any problems in months. >> it's a cooperative sittion. and i would hope that we could

come back to the arrangement that existed about a year ago, year and a half ago in terms of the meetings. if there's something to address we ought to talk it out with the police department and work together. >> the city atrney will go before a judge in a hearing january 24th to try to get an injunction to close down this place permantly. the club owner says many of these accusations are false and the city is bling things out of proportion. jenelle wang, abc 7 news. >> jenelle, thank you. san francio's asian american communy is holding a news conference at noon to support ed lee as interim mayor. at the chinatown event lee supporters will issue a statement on his behalf, the first since tuesday when a majority of supervisors announced they'll vote for lee to be temporary replacement. he's worked in city government 20 years and seems as one that could be accept by the new board sworn in saturday. you have not seen a shot of lee in our video here.

weekend. not everody's going to work then either. mother nature off with the rain and then it become sunny and dry and now it looks like the frost and fog will go away in time for the weekd. mount tamalpais, a beautiful picture. almost looks like summer exset one thing's wrong. the fog's goin the wrong way. from east to west. going through the central valley through the delta communities and moving right across the bay and out to the ocean where it's dissipating. let's take another perspective if we have. let's talk about visibilies then. the visibilities are running rather low. in facted, we're down still a half mile in some areas those areas will be mainly over the east bay and also into the south bay. in fact, you can see it here on the visible satellite how tt east to westind is pulling that tulie foghroughout the bay. if you're not in the north bay and east bay valleys, yore having a pretty sunny day and temperatur are pretty nice.

redwood city. san francisco 3, napa 4 and livermore 6 degrees cooler than average. sunset to 5:06. the south bay warmer weather. upper 50s for you, mid to upper 50s on the peninsul as you head to the coast and downtown south san francisco, mid-50 upper 40s to low 50s because of the fog. mid to upper 50s on the east bay shor but look at the 40s, especially where the fog is along the quarter and around the monterey bay. the warmest weather. upper 50s caramel, inland morgan hill everyby else low to mid-60s. around the state temperatures in the central valleys, the 40s because of the draw temperatures everybody in the 30s once again except san francisco and half moon bay in the low 40s. 7-day forecast, the winds will shift this weekend and bring drier flow. that's what i think will take away the fog. still maybe a little frosty saturday morning but definitely by sunday and monday should be out of that.
